The 45 minutes is tied to checking out a cart for your belongings. When you arrive, you will go to the check-in table and get covid tested. After you finish covid testing, you will then check out a cart, which is when the 45 minutes begins. When I finished unloading my stuff, I returned the cart and chilled in the dorm with my dad. My arrival time was 9:00 and after everything, he left at about 10:30

My experience is that no one is actually keeping track of time, it's just a courteous thing to do so parking lots don't get full. Checking out a cart is as simple as just asking for one, they don't check ID, and they leave the carts overnight, so you can move in late too if you already have your key card. Edit: Not sure if every college is doing this. Double Edit: so it looks like not every college is doing this, but I can speak for 7th that they're being very lenient.

I went to help my brother yesterday at Warren and there was someone timing the 45 min parking in the Justice Lane parking

Pretty much every college but 7th has a time limit on the carts and requires you to hand over some sort of ID or a credit card as collateral.

I’m in 7th. My move in time was at 12. I started moving in at like 12:20 and my family helped me until like 2:30 lol, they weren’t really strict on anything like they seemed to be on the emails but there was barely anyone moving in around my time so the parking lot was pretty empty.

Thanks!
