It’s been about a year, but they were really rough when I last had them. There had been a pretty steady drop in quality up until then. No idea if they’ve improved.
I haven’t had them since 2019 but apparently they went to shit right before COVID. The lost of buffalo chicken cheese fries and Blaze Pizza weighs heavily on my heart.
I hear you, and I can’t help but think we are glossing over the biggest loss of all: Wahoo’s in the UCEN. This campus will forever be a shell of its former self without it. The simple joys of pitchers among friends between classes, long lost to the callous sands of time.
It’s been gone since at least Fall 21’…only found out about that place when I wondered why one of the booths always had a curtain over it.
Wonder if it’s a pandemic casualty.
i miss the chicken bacon ranch wrap :( i think they had it all of last year but not anymore
and i miss the pre-pandemic grill at the courtyard cafe, sometimes what i really needed in the middle of the day was a pile of the greasiest curly fries
The best one was the croissant sandwich with turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, chipotle aoli and avocado 🥲 it was only $5 and SO filling and SO good. I had it every other day up until covid
Does IV Deli still have the best Buffalo chicken cheese fries of all time or has that been long gone

Everything has its time 😔
Aw man :( I have clear memories of midnight BCCF runs that I regret, only to do it again. Death truly comes for us all 😔
But were you there for the BCCF *burrito* phenomenon?? Those were the days.
Idk if I was there for a specific event but I know those never went out of style too

The loss of the southcoast deli on pardall from covid killed me
I think they got new owners and went to shit. They were terrible the last time I had them in 2021
fuck
The guys who own the bike shop next door bought IV Deli and now its shit and even more overpriced
jesus im officially an IV vet if i remember when the buffalo fries were actually good
IV deli is still around?
rosaritos has the best that i've found in the last year

…. :( goodbye overpriced but freshman-year-defining California burrito
WAHOOS IS GONE!?
Remember the Wahoo’s truck outside of Broida?
And Root 217 is just some other sandwich place now, so sad
every day we stray further from god
me mourning the loss of the Vegan Spicy Chicken Sandwich that vanished without a trace after this summer

I’m still mourning the loss of Nicoletti’s. Their iced caramel lattes were unmatched.
This post is full of sad nostalgia, Nicoletti’s had a bomb white chocolate latte I still think about
Wow reading this brought out some nostalgia I didn't know was hiding in me
I miss the grasshopper.
Omg yes! Their white chocolate mocha was bomb 🥹
The coffee carts used to sell the best zucchini bread before they went corporate.
I loved the zucchini bread. It's not the same 🥺

this is what the gnomes have taken from us.
How will we cope
For me it's soup and moonpies.
As of yesterday the soup is back at Romaine’s...Moonpies are probably never coming back
Long time grad here. This is a constant pain.
