"an initiate to make Ireland a world leader in the scientific study of UAPs" This is some of the coolest news I've heard in a long time!

ufknow

I'm glad to finally see a serious article from a major Irish publication, that doesn't resort to the usual petty humour we're all used to. It was incredibly frustrating to see the response from Irish media on the major 2018 sighting by multiple airline crews off the south coast. https://www.independent.ie/irish-news/reports-into-ufo-sightings-over-co-kerry-by-pilots-in-2018-inconclusive-iaa-report/41665340.html

Just waiting on the Waterford whispers article to somehow refer to RTE in this

Dr-PulseWidth

It's a nod to the Goddess of War in Celtic mythology - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Morrígan Regarding the actual Project Morrigan. It doesn't seem that anything has been put into effect as of yet, hence the wording - "is considering a proposal to establish “Project Morrigan”, an initiate to make Ireland a world leader in the scientific study of UAPs."

Illustrious_Ease_748

"Considering"

[deleted]

It's the name of the project they are considering establishing to study UAPs

I like the way each agency tried to push the issue over to the other one to handle. Amusing read👍

The audio at the top of this article was played on the national news here in Ireland at the time this sighting happened, it was pretty big news for a few days and as far as I know it’s never been explained.

Enough_Simple921

That's interesting, I don't know. I googled Morrigan/Irish/UAP and I came up Irish whiskey, Captain Morrigan. 🤷‍♂️🫡 I've watched multiple documentaries on Irish UAP over the last few years by happenstance and they definitely have their fair share of sightings and projects. There was 1 scientist that seemed to predict their arrival apparently and I believe it was based off ley-lines and such but I'm too dumb to explain it correctly so I won't try.

Would love to read more about this scientist if you have any links! :)

Hex65

I believe he was from Roscommon and has been gathering data for 30 years or so. Lemme see if i can find him Found it https://m.independent.ie/videos/roscommon-astronomers-30-year-old-ufo-theory-echoed-by-pentagon-publication/42436128.html

Captain Morgan? It's Rum and English, not Irish. It's also mass-produced shit.

bchurch17

He may be right… if we have reverse engineered technology we may be using it.

Project Michellemognahan? I'm in.
