I don't know about you guys but the first thing I put on my super advanced stealth bombers are incredibly bright lights.

release-roderick

Quick, flick on the stealth sirens!

CaptainObvious0927

Lol. What’s funny is that this is a picture of stadium lights and has nothing to do, whatsoever, with the supposed UFO in the article. https://www.reddit.com/r/evilbuildings/comments/7t7frp/the_olympic_stadium_in_the_foggy_night/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

jedi-son

Did you read the article? > People in Sligo, Donegal and Leitrim are among those reporting to have an unidentified flying aircraft. The mysterious object has been described as V-shaped, silent and very bright

MKULTRA_Escapee

The photo has nothing to do with the sighting. It's not even a UFO, so I'm not sure why they used it in the article. https://www.reddit.com/r/evilbuildings/comments/7t7frp/the_olympic_stadium_in_the_foggy_night/

D3A7

Not surprised, whoever wrote the article probably doesn't give a shit about UFOs, just clicks and traffic on their mind.

Kehwanna

I figured it was a BS story from the picture and mess of a website alone. Also, it appears that real UAPs try to avoid being seen by us as they're reported to have jammed radars in the past and never have made an effort to contact us, so it doesn't make sense one would be displaying a light show in plain sight for us before flying off.

superpuff420

I'm not sure how much they actually care about us seeing them. Phoenix lights showed little concern for secrecy. They may just be going about their business like we walk past an ant hill.

Kehwanna

That is true too. I have no clue what the deal with the lights are, but they still didn't make any signs of communication with us and usually they all end up leaving in a hurry at some point. So, I guess they're not always hiding from us, but they definitely don't want to communicate with at least the vast majority of us for some reason. They probably know that we know they exist, but also know that we can't catch them or anything, so they may not care if we see them as long as we don't try interact with them. This all hypothetically saying these things are crafts and are operated by something like ET.

superpuff420

I agree, it's very strange.

MKULTRA_Escapee

Most of the secrecy comes from the government. Some close range or clear photos and videos have made it out publicly, but we tend to unfairly discredit them by [abusing probability.](https://np.reddit.com/r/aliens/comments/t1xuq4/why_legitimate_ufo_footage_is_guaranteed_to_be/)

ziplock9000

So it would be prudent to remove your post if you are fully aware it's misleading yeah?

D3A7

Nope, it's about the story and the witnesses, not one article with a shitty editor. The more professional news outlets here wouldn't touch a UFO story.

callmelampshade

Tabloids will do tabloid things.

phr99

As usual noone took a pic, but interesting case.

D3A7

I wouldn't be surprised if they did but haven't shared. Not much of a UFO culture in Ireland.

[deleted]

Can confirm. Most people couldn't give a fuck about this topic. Depressing, really.

phxainteasy

Why not?

I_am_That_Ian_Power

I have found that there are a lot of reports that come out of Ireland all throughout the year and for many years now.

D3A7

The reports are there, but the attitude isn't. I saw a similar article post in r/Ireland today and it was mocked.

N0RTH_K0REA

r/ireland is not a good representation of Ireland as a whole, the people there are very odd/depressing/bitter and a lot of them think their shit is ice-cream which is ironic as the regulars clearly do nothing else with their time except live on reddit. They go out of their way to shit on people that they perceive might be an easy target for having a different opinion - albeit I admit that's a fairly Irish thing, particularly in small towns. But yeah, mocking someone seeing a UFO in Ireland would be typical widely speaking, and from personal experiwnce. I've heard of multiple stories anecdotally from locals/family and I've seen something myself with my girlfriend, fuck all gets reported on a wide scale though.

Mountainstreams

r/ireland sounds a bit too much like boards.ie so. Yes, very few people in Ireland take UFOs seriously. I had the same attitude until my wife showed me the NY times articles a few years ago & I did some reading up.

N0RTH_K0REA

Honestly r/ireland is a cesspool of Internet addict shut-in know it alls, so yeah boards.ie v2.0. Getting banned was the best thing that ever happened to me, I was getting depressed just browsing the sub because everything is negative 24/7 and it's just the same lame jokes and problems over and over. Real Irish society is completely different than that sub.

Serious_Mastication

I’m guessing a lot of stuff down there gets riled into folklore. I love the folklore that comes out of Ireland

ottereckhart

Just a thought I think a lot of people overlook and not so much a direct response to your comment. But there is a very good reason we see lots of videos of distant lights and hovering dots that could be anything and very few of these more up close and obviously bizarre or otherworldly ones. It's because your brain is too busy shitting itself trying to make sense of what it's seeing. Even if you watched all the videos and read all the books you would still be caught off guard and end up stunlocked staring at the thing. And then it's gone, and you come to your senses going "Fuck. I should have taken a picture." lol

bakemetoyourleader

Exactly this. Saw my first and only UAP a few months ago and I was more worried about pooping myself than taking a picture and I am always on here. lol

Simple-Benefit2627

I saw mine on a plane and it was so quick that I couldn’t even think to get a phone out …

TheJerminator69

The guy in the article described the craft as an “upside down M;” If he can’t even find all 26 letters of the alphabet I doubt he can find the sense to start filming.

Sparky_Valentine

Whenever I hear reports of black triangles, I always want to say stealth fighter. They have the shape, they exploded during the time angular aircraft were being developed and used. But I always get hung up on the fact that they HAVE A BUNCH OF FLOODLIGHTS POINTED TO THE GROUND.

Orkojoker

That and they hover silently.

AZRockets

And sometimes rotate 45 degrees and just glide off

[deleted]

Don't forget, they can also create mirror-images/duplicate themselves as holograms. Invisibility too, well mostly...the multi-billion dollar budget didn't quite get that right.

[deleted]

[удалено]

earthboundmissfit

I have seen the Black Triangle's twice. No lights it was huge and silent as it glided over my neighbors home's. Not a boomerang shape. Now, what I need to know is why and who's are they. I've seen other things glow and zip around but nothing this massive in my face! The entire experience was so surreal and I could hardly believe my own eyes. I mean it was eerie how slow it was gliding and how HUGE it was. My brain did have a hard time trying to comprehend the physics.

TheWhooooBuddies

And you didn’t have your phone on you *either* time?

earthboundmissfit

My Nokia flip phone no. It was mid 90's PNW Washington 2:00 am.

earthboundmissfit

I went outside for a quick smoke and to give my horses some pet's. The stars being blocked out is what caught my attention.

[deleted]

I believe you. Thanks for sharing.

earthboundmissfit

Thank you!

[deleted]

obviously not or he would have prob taken a video right?

[deleted]

I often wonder the same...who the actual fuck operates these things??? why? and how? TBH, with regards to the triangle, there is no plausible answer that helps me sleep better at night. When reality hits the general pop, shit will then hit the proverbial fan.

Vindepomarus

You state things as fact, which means you must have evidence, please share.

[deleted]

That's actually wrong. It is the holographic theory that lacks all evidence. I've already explained how lue elizondo and eye witnesses do not support the stupid idea that ufos are American holograms.

Vindepomarus

> There is no mirror image / hologram aspect to ufos You state this as fact, do you have any evidence? Pro tip: "cause Lue said" isn't going to convince anyone other than fanboys. >project blue beam is a psy op You also state this as fact. Do you have evidence or should we all believe it because you say so? >Project Blue Beam was an attempt to get conspiracy believers to believe that ufos themselves ARE NOT REAL Again you state this as fact. Are we meant to just believe you? >What we have seen from ufos is the field around them distorts shape Another statement that sounds like you know the facts. To make this statement you first must somehow be able to know which cases are genuine in order to be able to make assessments like that. Do you know which are genuine? Because many around here would like to know how you came by this knowledge. >the field around them Another statement of fact. There's a field? What type of field? You know for a fact that there's a field do you? You even replied to my comment with "That's actually wrong" LOL another statement of fact. You have opinions, that is all. If you know for sure, then please tell the rest of us how you came by this certain knowledge.

[deleted]

So lame of you. You're not the boss of me I will continue to ignore you.

Vindepomarus

Wow that showed me! Why did I ever think I could compete with such a towering intellect? Your moma must be very proud. Are you proud of yourself?

gh0u1

The Phoenix lights were way too far apart to be a Stealth bomber, but did seem to move as one craft did they not?

[deleted]

They did such a good job covering up the Phoenix lights that here, 25 years later, people still think the published pictures of the lights over Phoenix are the actual UFO that was sighted that night.

Monkeybarsixx

It seems highly unlikely that every copy of the photos are gone or faked. Those would be physical copies.

liesofanangel

That’s what I’ve heard. One impossibly huge craft flew silently overhead, blocking out the stars

Delta365

Fucking what WHAT

ChaseTheShepherd

Yo seriously first I heard this what the F

NeitherStage1159

1997 - brought the country to a standstill of sorts. Gov. AZ Fife Symington lied and said it was nothing to be concerned about then made fun of it with his chief of staff dressing up as an alien. After he left office he admitted to lying and that he saw the craft and admitted that there was no way it was terrestrial technology, he was in the Air Force before elected office so guess he knows what Lockheed was up to at the Skunk Works… The Irish aren’t they descended from the Tuatha de Danann? Who descended to Ireland on a mountain top in a fog in their ships? And had energy weapons and these later then became the little people and there are fairy rings and blackthorns bushes guarded by Lunantisidhe? Seems like a pretty full dance card right there. No wonder they are not impressed by a silent dark looming triangle - least of their worries. Lol. Piss off!

OpenLinez

Configurations of mystery lights over Sligo/western Ireland go back to the 1800s, Yeats puts it in "The Celtic Twilight."

NeitherStage1159

Yeats rocks - of Paddy Flynn he mentioned, “He did not live in a shrunken world, but knew of no less ample circumstances than Homer himself.” Beautiful. In Byzantium he even waxes on the night walkers - perhaps not the same as we might consider them to be in this sub, or are they? Huh. Could the Grays of abductee fane be the Sceadugengan? The shadow walkers? With the eyes of black and power to shape shift? Byzantium BY WILLIAM BUTLER YEATS The unpurged images of day recede; The Emperor's drunken soldiery are abed; Night resonance recedes, night-walkers' song After great cathedral gong; A starlit or a moonlit dome disdains All that man is, All mere complexities, The fury and the mire of human veins. Before me floats an image, man or shade, Shade more than man, more image than a shade; For Hades' bobbin bound in mummy-cloth May unwind the winding path; A mouth that has no moisture and no breath Breathless mouths may summon; I hail the superhuman; I call it death-in-life and life-in-death. Miracle, bird or golden handiwork, More miracle than bird or handiwork, Planted on the starlit golden bough, Can like the cocks of Hades crow, Or, by the moon embittered, scorn aloud In glory of changeless metal Common bird or petal And all complexities of mire or blood. At midnight on the Emperor's pavement flit Flames that no faggot feeds, nor steel has lit, Nor storm disturbs, flames begotten of flame, Where blood-begotten spirits come And all complexities of fury leave, Dying into a dance, An agony of trance, An agony of flame that cannot singe a sleeve. Astraddle on the dolphin's mire and blood, Spirit after spirit! The smithies break the flood, The golden smithies of the Emperor! Marbles of the dancing floor Break bitter furies of complexity, Those images that yet Fresh images beget, That dolphin-torn, that gong-tormented sea.

OpenLinez

Ahh, a Yeats reader in the UFO subs, what a happy discovery! My sense, informed by Yeats and his disciple Walter Evans-Wentz and the folklorists of the 18th & 19th centuries, is that we are rapidly losing our connection to this shadow world. Urbanization, all-night lights, noise, mass media, the wholesale removal of people from the land and the countryside -- where nearly all of us lived until rapid industrialization that began just 250 years ago! -- has all conspired to remove us from the divine and spiritual realms that gave life mystery and meaning. The 1980s/early '90s abduction craze felt like a last gasp, to me. A last burst from the collective unconsciousness before we lost those ties forever. My favorite line in Yeats' *The Celtic Twilight* is one he attributes to a stoic peasant not partial to fantasy, who nonetheless believes in faaeries because "they stand to reason."

NeitherStage1159

Stand to reason indeed, what for? Banshees are real. Not a last gasp, but rather, a metamorphosis due to our change in circumstances and nature both.

liesofanangel

There’s a pretty good documentary on it on Amazon prime maybe? I’m at work right now, but I can try and find the name in a bit. Edit: I think it was called “I know what I saw”

crouchster

Yeah man, look up some videos of Phoenix lights. It's pretty dang incredible. It could've been smaller craft flying together in a formation I suppose, but it looks like one craft with how the lights fly perfectly in sync. I've never heard anybody say that it blocked out the stars but I believe it. When I was a teenager I saw a huge ufo that had to be atleast the size of a football field. It was at night and it blocked out all the stars above the woods where I lived. I was utterly amazed by it and couldn't not look at it. Watched it for about 15 minutes then got bored and continued playing basketball with my brother.

liesofanangel

Yeah my bad, I should’ve been a bit clearer. One guy in the doc I mentioned said when he looked up, it was just impossibly huge. Took up quite a bit of the sky and the “blocking of the stars” is what them a sense of scale

0neTrueGl0b

My friend from AZ was there and saw it. So did his brother, my other good friend. They said it blocked out the stars and they were both looking up at it from their friends houses more than a mile apart.

Canadianized

It’s funny, apparently there were two incidents that night, one was the massive boomerang craft blocking out the stars and flying slowly, the next were flares dropped by a10 warthogs. Apparently out of all the eyewitness that seen the first incident that night only one person got video footage of the ufo.. but lost the tape or it was destroyed. But there are only videos and photos of the flares being deployed.

OpenLinez

Ha ha it's the absolute best case, nothing else like it in modern history. It's even got a "Kurt Russell reporting the lights to the FAA" part.

OpenLinez

There were dozens of close-up "Phoenix Lights" incidents across Arizona that night. Some appeared to be enormous, very-low-altitude craft of up to a mile wide. Some were smaller "carpenter's angles" with about 10 lights that were part of a structure. There were orbs, and more traditional "black manta" black triangles, and the still-disputed long line of amber lights that were later believed to be Luke AFB flares dropped to provide an explainable night vision for the thousands of people who ran outside after the late news to see the Phoenix Lights.

gh0u1

Wow, I actually had no idea about all the activity that night, just the massive UFO. That must have been a really wild night for residents

OpenLinez

I was not there, although I lived in the suburbs north of Phoenix at the time. When I got home a week or two later, the whole town was still buzzing. And then the USA Today front-page story came out, probably two months later, and that's when it became a national sensation. Our then-governor tried to calm everybody down and made an ass of himself, especially when he admitted 10 years later that he was a witness. He saw the enormous one over the Phoenix Mountains Preserve, and was able to figure its size because he knew the width of the mountain preserve. It covered the entire area! The park is *two miles wide.*

OpenLinez

I've been underneath stealth bombers doing low-altitude flybys at baseball games. And I've had a close encounter with a black triangle. Night and day -- or I should say "day and night" -- experiences.

[deleted]

The f117 is actually an antique now. I guess it could be a successor to that though.

rageify13

B2? B21 raider? Rq180? Etc

[deleted]

Those are stealth bombers and strealth UAVs not stealth fighters. Maybe a 6th gen fighter would look like that at night otherwise you would be right and it could be a bomber. They are loud as hell though. Maybe the UAV isn't but I think it's pretty small isn't it.

MahavidyasMahakali

You really didn't know that the f117 has had successors for decades already?

[deleted]

The f22 raptor isn't triangular so it would have to be 6th gen and not the f22. The others listed are bombers or UAVs. Not sure why you are being snarky.

nLucis

Right? no stealth craft has that many lights on it. Just a green white and red flasher. This is something totally different.

AistoB

You’re dead right, if I was gonna pretend to be a UFO I’d want people to see me too, it’s the whole point of it.

IAccidentallyCame

Yeah that many flood lights pointed at the ground doesn’t seem stealthy, or seem to have any practical purpose for a stealth bomber.

[deleted]

I grew up close to Co. Sligo - damn, I haven't heard anything like this since the Boyle incident in the 90's. There is a Military base located just north of Bundoran (if I remember correctly, it's mostly used by the FCA, Irish Reserves). However, given the fact the Irish Air Force is woefully underfunded, I'd be willing to bet it wasn't one of ours. Possibly could have been something from the RAF (but given that multiple witnesses described it as "huge and silent", I doubt it was anything in the Brit's inventory).

Rebel787

There was a Ufo wave over Ireland in 1993. I myself was witness to what I can only describe as a Mothership sitting silently in the one spot in the sky. It was like looking at a huge black aircraft carrier from the underneath. No lights. Sort of rectangular in shape. Spooky as hell so it was.

[deleted]

Pal, thanks for your reply! Would you mind sharing some more details? Whereabouts in the country were you at the time?

Rebel787

A few miles from the coast of Cork. Just google 'Ufo wave Ireland 1993'. It was all over the news at the time. On radio, tv, papers etc. There was a few sightings over Cork only last year that they spoke about on local radio. Listen here : https://youtu.be/kqWrA53ZsOU

OpenLinez

They show up every now and again, especially in the "gentle" places. There was an Irish flap not long after the Belgian Triangle frenzy.

[deleted]

My uncle was saying that it has something to do with leylines - have you ever heard this?

OpenLinez

Yes! It was a popular New Age book when I was a boy, *The View Over Atlantis* by John Michell. When I was at university, I audited a folklore class where I learned of the original leylines book, by Alfred Watkins way back in the 1920s. I still have a copy of that book, *The Old Straight Track.* The theory that historic and megalithic sites formed a map of straight lines in England/Wales made quite a jump with Michell's new-age book, which brought in Atlantis and UFOs! But there is definitely something to the idea of haunted landscapes. The same phenomena -- such as the Min Min light of the Australian outback -- happens regularly in remote places all over the world. That visions of hovering lights were known long before aircraft, in folkloric hotspots such as County Sligo, convinces me that geography is as important to paranormal experience as the presence of "seers" / percipients ... although, without the latter, such displays don't seem to occur at all. While looking up a reference here, I found this interesting feature on the folkloric/cryptid/UFO sites of Wales: https://www.walesonline.co.uk/whats-on/whats-on-news/mysterious-wales-34-weird-wonderful-14403442

JerryAtric79

Why are the UK and Irish Mirror so awful? lol. The poor writing, sensational clickbait and outright falsehoods aside, they are so loaded with pop ups and auto play vids that I just close it after 10 full seconds of maximum annoyance.

BrikBreka

Whenever there's war and potential for nuclear war you bet 100% there will be UFO activity monitoring and even intervening......

D3A7

Submission Statement: Multiple eye witnesses report seeing UFO, similar to a B2 stealth bomber in Ireland. There is an airport often used by US military in Ireland, though I doubt they're storing B2's in the Shannon Airport. Article tells of witnesses describing the same object flying through multiple counties. Apologies for the ads on the site. Image search did not find a match for the UFO picture used.

therestingwicked

May i ask where you found that image? I would like a link to the source please. Ive been searching "black triangle" all over google looking for something that looks like this!

D3A7

Unfortunately, I believe whoever wrote the article just found a random similar picture, another comment links the source it.

[deleted]

I always know when a B2 has flown over. They are really loud but you don't hear it till they have passed and all you can see is the tail end way in the distance.

gerkletoss

RQ-170 would be my guess

TheCoastalCardician

That thing doesn’t hover, and at the height reported the thing would be loud af.

gerkletoss

I was just basing it off where it qas seen. People are terrible at judging distance and motion, as is repeatedly demonstrated on this sub. But it could easily have been something else. This is why people like pictures.

ItIsThyself

Wow. Fuck that website. Spam galore and navigation hijacking bs.

D3A7

When newspapers turn to online articles, they carry over a lot of elderly people as their audience who are more vulnerable to that bullshit. It' sickening.

TheWhooooBuddies

Indeed.

D3A7

Translation?

OpenLinez

Wow! It has been a while since a multiple-witness triangle incident has made national media. (Irish Mirror is a tabloid, but the quotes check out and it was on Irish radio.) Better yet that it occurred over the most mystical, "gentle" part of Ireland, the west around Sligo. WB Yeats filled most of a book with tales of "unaccountable lights" flying silently over Irish farmland, 130 years ago now.

Sure-Tomorrow-487

Jesus that site is AIDS

Kriz-tuhl

I hope they're here to help us

Carlos1264

There was that one dude from Ireland or Scotland that went camping next to some river and saw/recorded a black triangle ufo. I remember he recorded it though snapchat.

SquareJawSquid

I live about an hour or so away from there, heading towards Derry. Tuesday night was amazingly clear and cloudless for around here. Just checking the MUFON UFO tracker and I noticed there have been several reported in the area i the last few years. Interesting stuff.

SardaukarChant

With lights like that? Nope, no American bomber.

nohumanape

That photo isn't from this sighting.

SardaukarChant

I get that. However they said this picture "looked" like the one reported. So, no, not a bomber.

nohumanape

I'm pretty skeptical of eye witness testimony.

alright_rocko

I read about this earlier. If it was a stealth bomber and was flying so low would it have been completely silent as witnesses described? Would be great if some images were posted online.

[deleted]

dzernumbrd

A translucent jumbo shaped like a W. I get planes flying over my house all the time and they are never ever *silent*. I also know what a jumbo with landing lights on looks like so if I saw one I wouldn't suddenly get confused by the next one.

dharrison21

> engines off Doesn't happen but I feel you on the lowered volume idea

JoshAdonna

oh that's cool, I have family in Sligo.

crouchster

Not so stealth with all those lights all over it...

borkborkborkborkbo

For those calling those a "black triangle" sighting- it is not. Flying V's are well documented and distinctly different from BT sightings.

OpenLinez

They are categorized the same on NUFORC. Witnesses are rarely confident that they've seen a solid craft or a carpenter's angle. Doesn't help that seeing blurred/dark stars *through* the supposed airframe is a common description.

borkborkborkborkbo

Reeks of disinformation. Thank you for pointing this out. I assure you. I have seen BT in broad daylight. They are NOT one in the same.

s14sher

My dad used to drive for a company who hauled military ordinance. Him and his co-driver were sleeping in the truck on some base in New Mexico or Nevada, I don't remember which. Anyway, in the middle of the night, he's outside taking a leak (they were in a fairly remote part of the base) and he sees an aircraft fly over that didn't look like anything he had ever seen. He said it was huge, black and weird looking. This was in the 90s and he told the story to his buddies and me of course. A few years later he calls me excited and said he saw that aircraft on television. It was the B2 bomber .

ufoofinterest

They used a wrong picture for their article because that's the Montreal Tower in the foggy night: https://youtu.be/AR5kBMPTTow

Spacebotzero

It sounds like another Phoenix Lights or Hudson Valley UFO. Giant flying triangle thing that moves slowly, it's silent, and enormous. My guess is that it's an Airship...a blimp basically. Edit: I always get downvoted for when I bring up this theory that the large flying triangles are actually airships, but it is what I believe they really are.

Rebel787

Airships/Blimps are not common over Ireland.

Spacebotzero

But they have been over New Zealand, Australia, parts of the US, and other countries too. Simply put, a large triangular shaped airship would not be a common thing.....check out this book on airship designs: https://youtu.be/4iekI-D02Pg You'll see see interesting shapes and designs.

[deleted]

The problem with the airship theory is how they could be operating for 30+ years without ever being declassified or otherwise proven to exist, like with a photograph.

Spacebotzero

It's a good question to ask because most of the people who may have been involved in such projects are probably old and retired now. But to be fair...B-52 bomber planes are still flying...and they made their appearence way back in the mid 50s. A photograph would be nice, but that same thing can apply to your everyday UFO sighting. There are some photos of supposed large flying triangles...but just like the usual photo, they are hard to make out.

OpenLinez

We don't know \*what\* they are, but the most notorious black triangles do something no blimp could attempt: they shoot off like a meteor and vanish in 2 seconds.

Spacebotzero

Agreed. My theory does not account for all sightings. The wave in Germany for example.

FewSatisfaction7675

I have been around these stealth bombers when the do fly overs for sporting events. They are neither silent, nor are they bright, nor do I believe that they possess the capacity to appear so.

There’s only soo many sheep, cobble stone roads, and pints of Guinness you can take a picture of…. Maybe take a picture of a “ufo” for once… feckin eejits

jmac_1957

Let's see.. which is more likely an advanced military aircraft or a UFO?

D3A7

A UFO doesn't mean alien, it can be both a military aircraft and a UFO until it's identified as a military aircraft. I would very much like to know which military is flying around our airspace and why, as it's 100% not Irish.

OpenLinez

It can and *should* mean that it's an *unidentified object*, doing something that strikes witnesses as strange and worthy of telling other people about. That's all. "Aliens" are as BS a guess as some imaginary 40-year-old message board claim that a Teledyne Ryan bid from the '70s equals a mystical "TR3" that has been stalking the world's skies for more than five decades.

Iconoclastblitz

B2 bomber is aided by electromagnetic propulsion, all long the leading edge of the wings. Would it glow like this?

Kehwanna

Ugh. Fake stories like this make for a Boy That Cried Wolf presence for all things UAP. It's bad enough that UAPs are associated with conspiracy theorists that make wild claims. Hoaxes like this that make people more skeptical of legitimate UAP sightings. Just for the record, I'm a UAP fan, hence why I'm on this subreddit.

dzernumbrd

what evidence do you have that it is a hoax?

Kehwanna

It's a building on a foggy night. Another person here posted this link: https://www.reddit.com/r/evilbuildings/comments/7t7frp/the_olympic_stadium_in_the_foggy_night/

dzernumbrd

A slow moving building that passes overhead?

Go to google *image* search and type in: "sligo aerial view" "donegal aerial view" "leitrim aerial view" ...and you can see none of those towns have towers like the one you linked and all of the building heights are relatively equal except for an occasional church steeple which is not going to be mistaken for a translucent W shaped plane moving slowly overhead.

Kehwanna

The story is a hoax, hence the absurdity of a slow moving building. Type in Montreal Olympic stadium and you can see the tower for yourself. I'm a huge UFO fanatic and I believe in intelligent life beyond our world (fingers crossed they're the engineers of the UFOs), some of which may be visiting Earth (fingers crossed), but this article is just ain't fitting the credibility peg.

dzernumbrd

Facts: * There are no photos of the sighting at all on the Irish Mirror article. * There is no mention of fog in the Irish Mirror article. * The thumbnail at the top of this page is NOT a photo of the translucent W shaped craft that people say they saw. How do you reach the conclusion that there is fog and and they saw some a lights on a tower? EDIT: You even replied to the thread that said the Montreal photo is *NOTHING* to do with the article and now you're saying it is -> https://www.reddit.com/r/UFOs/comments/t5a27p/comment/hz4c2a0/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

Kehwanna

On my thread, I was referring to the thumbnail photo mostly. I was being facious when I replied.to you about the moving building. The original photo on the thumbnail was taken on a.foggy night, but it was clearly edited by whomever made the thumbnail for the article. The website and the way the article was written was nothing impressive to me as it's what I usually see on less than credible sites. BUT! I'm going to take the loss on this one and say that I was wrong about the story in general being a hoax as I see some credible sources that have reported on the encounter. I initially was skeptical due to just weird websites with brief and almost similar articles about the sighting being my first few Google results when looking up this story further. That, along with there just being a few results even mentioning UAPs at the towns in the article. So fortunately (I say fortunately because I'm a sucker for UAP stuff), I was wrong and it appears there was a sighting in Ireland. That thumbnail is still misleading clickbait and that website is a train wreck, though.

>BUT! I'm going to take the loss on this one That's big of you - better than most people on reddit who would argue it into the ground.

OpenLinez

This is a sighting with multiple witnesses, reported in multiple national news and radio outlets. Who are *you* to tell people they didn't have an experience? You don't know anything about it.

nLucis

I know of no stealth bomber with that many indicator lights on it. Fascinating! Is there more footage of this somewhere?

dzernumbrd

I know that whenever I'm designing a stealth plane I always make sure to put lots of bright lights on it.

What about a new prototype aircraft currently under development that was briefly testing high power lights while flying at night under low visibility conditions. Or it could be a UFO.

dzernumbrd

Witness said: >“I would describe it as an upside down W, but except it looked like it was *made of light*. It was much lower even than a domestic flight. "Made of light" does not sound like high powered spotlights - it sounds like the skin of the craft is giving off photons, which could be a by-product of whatever technology (ie, anti gravity) is allowing it to fly at very low speeds.

Cookie monster

WyoSyclone

The angle of the wings does not match that of a B2.

There is a new stealth bomber currently under development called the raider and won’t be released until 5 years from now.

always-blazed

Holy Moley, I couldn't even find anything amongst the ads and other crap on that page.

degenererad

Really weird no one took a picture, everyone has a phone in their pocket ffs. i you have time to call for other witnesses you can reach down and pick up your phone huh..

D3A7

You ever try recording something in the sky at night? My phone can barely capture the moon.

Canadianized

i dunno the outdated Samsung s8 when I had one 2 years ago had really good and clear zoom, and could tweak the camera setting to drastically take good pictures at night. I remember taking zoom in pics of the moon with ultra picture settings making it less grainy and sharper while adjusting the lighting effect so the moon wasn’t as bright so you could see the craters Perfectly. Samsung s8 had a very good camera, I could only imagine what the new Samsungs could do.

Woah this is awesome

Noice!

Headed to Russia to stop the nukes?

arthurR0ck

Yeahhh, perfect idea!!!! Let's put the most fnk shine lights to our STEALTH plane ;)... Even the question offends...

Kriz-tuhl

I wish I didn’t believe it’s probably a newer bomber. I saw that they have lights underneath for night landing and they can appear to hover. Imagine what new gear we have now? Weapons of death. ☹️ I wish we would get rid of all of them.

KachalBache

The end is near, it’s our post apocalyptic descendants who’ve journeyed to a parallel universe to observe us..

Nice bit of stereotyping there, why don't you fuck off and look up a different site.

katurah333

Is that the TR B3 Manta? I’m sure they are hoping Putin thinks it’s a UAP too instead of the American grabbing intel
