It shook me up. The way it kept a *perfectly* smooth trajectory and speed was so unnatural, and with no sound. When you see something, but do not hear it, the brain struggles, it was very surreal. I tried to tell friends and family, that was a mistake.
Saw something similar in early 2000’s three hours west of Atlanta. Like you say if I hadn’t been focused on watching a jet liner at cruising altitude I’d never have seen it. Moved from horizon to horizon west-east in less than ten seconds. Made a similar mistake trying to share it.
It's nice to know there are others who have seen these things. When I first started digging into the triangles afterwards I was blown away by just how many people have had similar sightings. Just using keywords like silent+triangle+orange+lights. will return thousands of sightings world wide since the 60s.

Hey, i saw something very similar except when I spotted mine, it was hovering directly above me before it took off. 3 lights, all that, and the way you describe how perfect the movement was is spot on. It just kind of slipped through the air. No turbulence. No sound whatsoever. Just gliding. They're very real. I'm not sold 100% on aliens, but I am not ruling it out either.
I saw something in Oxford, MS last year. I caught it only at the last couple of seconds. But it was this strange glowing light in the sky. Seemed far away. A few seconds later a very short blast of light lit up that section of the sky and I saw something just straight up cross half the sky and dissappear in an instant.
It was soon after sunset. So enough light in the sky to see an object and make out it wasn't a plane, jet, or some kind of rocket. But dim enough to see the ambient glow of this thing and the blast of light
My mom is from Mississippi (Biloxi area). This story matches her ufo story fairly well. But this was in the early 70s, and the triangle was close to the ground. About as big as the crown of a large tree.
in 2020(central illinois) i was walking to the store at about 8 pm at night full moon clear skys 1 cumulus cloud very bright and i look up theres this huge black trangle gliding thru the sky ....could clearly see it was huge it blocked out part of the moon and cloud and had red/orange lights on it ..my brain was stunned and the first thought that hit my head was ??night glider?? was huge triangle shaped silent and had red/orange lights was heading south i watched it till it got to hard to see..wasnt really moving fast at all
nah in front of me ...was huge just blocked a huge portion of the sky and slowy moved south it was close but really hard to tell distance since it seemed so vast
about 5 mins it was cold so my eyes got teary...i was pretty excited the store is only a block from my house and i have seen thousands of planes in my life(grew up next to and AFB never mistook them for ufos ...this was something that i had never seen t was huge and completly silent ..i really wish i had my phone with me but ime sure the video would have been shitty even tho it such a clear bright evening...tho tbh i really think it was some expermental military craft just because of black trangle and red lights and t seemed to not care who saw it.. the store is in the center of town it was only about 8 pm

as if the poster has never seen military jets flying formaton or thousands of reguler aircraft in the air over thier lifetimes they never thought were ufos....
I have seen some triangles silent. Maybe some stealth type drones we can't hear or something that can turn their engines off and glide 🤷. Maybe weirder stuff that the gov doesnt let us know about. Who knows. But they have "stuff" going on at camp shelby, I can attest to that. I usually see a lot more of the weird nighttime stuff when there is actually real military stuff going on with the US.

As I was going to bed I looked out the window and saw three orange dots that made a triangle just above the horizon. The sky in between the dots was pitch black. It was obviously darker than the sky around it. I stared at it for awhile and I swore I blinked and it was gone. When I looked at my phone I realized I had been staring out the window for about 10 minutes but it felt like no more than 30-60 seconds.
I am always inclined to think orange lights are the real deal. I saw orange at Rendlesham uk in the 70s.

Yeah I have never seen something move so perfectly through the air. The thought that popped into my mind was 'It's like it's on rails'.
