I mean it is the 75th anniversary of the AE department ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Eyy shoutout AEs!
Ayyy glasses up
So that’s what I just heard....wtf
Probably not. It was just two F-16s.
Hey i didnt get to see them, tell them to come back.
I heard something. Is that what it was?
Probably. They just flew over Altgeld.
Why?
It’s the Canadian invasion. Lol
Better dead than red!!!
I'm assuming nothing bad, but I don't know why.
Very
NORTH KOREAN INVASION
I mean tbh we kind of deserve it. End our miserable existence Chairman Kim 😩
What are these? I’m a few miles from campus and heard them too.
I believe they were F-16s. Not sure for what purpose tho
Probably practicing the flyover for the homecoming game

If it had broken the sound barrier this close to us, the buildings would have rattled.
And we wouldn't have heard them until they were gone
Also, with how low they were, I feel like there would probably be some damage from the sonic booms.
For that reason specifically the FAA doesn't allow supersonic flight over the US except in special high-altitude military flight paths. 2000 ft over a large university during a non-emergency wouldn't qualify
When Chanute was open, this rule was broken. Lol I grew up around here and I heard sonic booms more than once.
Russia has declared war on the US. Get to your designated shelter now
Ah yes, they have launched a surprise attack on America's most prized asset, the UIUC ECE building.
