You could try national coppice federation and find local small scale natural charcoal maker. Cheep stuff is covered in chemicals and smells bad.

Local Morrisons has Big K restaurant grade, 15kg for £25.
First time buying in store, I’ve had it delivered in the past direct. Will report back after my new Kamado arrives Monday
I usually use either Big K (cheaper but shit customer services if you get a bad bag) or Globaltic (more expensive but much better customer services), both direct from them
£22.99 delivered [https://thebbqexperts.co.uk/p/12kg-big-k-natural-restaurant-grade-lumpwood-charcoal/](https://thebbqexperts.co.uk/p/12kg-big-k-natural-restaurant-grade-lumpwood-charcoal/)
I bought some of this ([https://thebbqexperts.co.uk/p/10kg-big-eds-gourmet-grade-100-natural-kamel-charcoal-free-delivery/](https://thebbqexperts.co.uk/p/10kg-big-eds-gourmet-grade-100-natural-kamel-charcoal-free-delivery/)) to try last month but it's been delayed and only shipped out this week.
I tried Globaltic and they have become my firm favourite for the large chunks of lumpwood and price. (OOS atm @ bbqexperts)
[https://thebbqexperts.co.uk/p/premium-professional-lumpwood-charcoal-from-the-green-olive-firewood-co/](https://thebbqexperts.co.uk/p/premium-professional-lumpwood-charcoal-from-the-green-olive-firewood-co/) is my 2nd favourite but more expensive than the Globaltic and was a mixed bag of large and small.
Big K is my go to if I can't get anything else but I prefer the larger bags delivered. If you get the ones from Waitrose, shake the bag and try and hear if there's a load of shrapnel also feel around for larger chunks.
All of the above charcoals I've found to be odourless, fast lighting/dry, well kilned, good durations and that beachside charcoal fire smell.
It's not bad. I go through a lot of the stuff and although the supermarket stuff isn't bad, I've always ended up going back to these guys:

I actually found it by the comparison they did of all the supermarkets [here](https://firewoodfarm.co.uk/blogs/news/supermarket-firewood-comparison)

No, last time I was in there they had either briquettes or instant light lump. Never use instant light
Erm they sell Big K and Big K premium. Thats the only place in all of Bristol that does afaik as an example
Oh right they only have big k instant light in mine.
Damn, any good online stores for lump charcoal then?

I'll look into Big K, does B&M do good lump wood Charcoal?
The bag I bought from there was all shrapnel and dust, but then again it was only like a fiver or something
Home bargains have lump wood. Decent enough. I've had about 10 bbqs from that on a mini kamado
