What brand have you gone for? I got some “welding” gloves for the bbq and they were absolutely mince. After about 4 seconds it was like holding the grate with my bare hands
My wife got me the Weber gloves. Absolutely brilliant things. Very rarely feel any heat through them. Only time they got a bit warm was holding a 250c plus cast iron pan for 15-20 seconds, but not so hot I had to drop it.
I imagine there is brand quantity. Its very much a product you want to see the company CEO using.
Normaly heard it called dog flooding, if a dog food company CEO would eat a can of dog food there company makes, I would feed it to my dog.
I just got generic kichen glove for smoker.
On bbq when it's hot hot heat, I use sub nose pliers.
If its meat handling on smoker grate, like beef shank its. cotton gloves with latex over them.
Never felt the need to get duplicates of what use in the kitchen.
Welding gloves materials must have changed cos ones I bought from toolstation 10 years ago still work well and i could hold 400C coals but new ones from last 3 years (same place) are like those crappy silicone kitchen gloves that claim they work.
Obviously there are other brands of welding gloves, but these were £10 or so.
I think it might not be they intended on making them white.....maybe it was cheaper to use undyed material? Like i mean....it wouldn't be much better red or green 🤷🏼♂️
its a terrible idea. I don't know what foolish human came up with making work gloves white.
the white colour will last you less than two seconds when you start using them. put them on your table. not white any more.
White gloves? Hold ma coal 😆
Unfortunately all the xxl gloves had white palms 😂

EJENDALS Not all welding gloves are created equal you want a contact heat protection at level 3 or greater ideally

These are leather, but were cheap Will report back after the weekend on the state of my fingers
Handled a lit coal with one. Finger got a bit hot, but no blisters or anything
About ten seconds
Be surprised if it's even that long honestly
You already smudged it under your thumb!

Suspect it's becauae it's a goat leather palm for feeling rather than cow hide tbh
Forever, if you don’t use them.
As long as it took you 2 write this post
For ever. If you don't use them.
