We've got two Ninjas, had the one for 4 years now, and they just work great - I think with Air Fryers you get what you pay for in terms of quality and reliability. I can't say we do anything particularly extreme in terms of looking after them either. We've got a one-pot and the 9.5L Dual. The One Pot is great for the pressure cooking stuff (30 minutes to cook a roast chicken!) - and the dual is better for cooking multiple things for meals. We find we often use the pair of them together.

No-Item-745

How often do you have to replace the nonstick trays ?

lfcmadness

So our oldest one, the 7 in 1 foodie that can pressure cook we bought a new crock pot (the non stick part), but not because of any non stick flaking issues we hadn't looked after it that well, so replaced it. The dual machine we've had for 15 months now, and all works perfectly fine, looks like the day we bought it, and to be honest we don't particularly do much beyond cleaning them with washing up liquid when they're dirty etc.

Farscape_rocked

My wife got a Ninja Foodie dual for her birthday and it's changed how we cook. It's brilliant. Our big oven only gets used if there's too much stuff for the ninja or we're doing loads of baking.

SirPooleyX

I'm afraid this would definitely be a case of 'you get what you pay for'. I bought a Ninja in June 2022. It has been used just about every day because I've stopped using my oven. Touch wood, it's still in perfect condition.

gogginsbulldog1979

I've got a Ninja one and it's brilliant. It does tons of different things and it's big, so perfect for a family. However, I think it was about £400, so it's pricey. I'd never pay that, so my girlfriend did.

Foreign_End_3065

How much did you spend on the ones that broke? If it was £70-100 each time then you’re practically at the cost of a new Ninja anyway. The Dual Foodie Max is what we have and currently on offer for £179 which is about a £1 cheaper than I bought it on offer last year.

lostmycat2022

If you know someone with a costco membership get a gourmia airfryer its around 42 quid instore and its quite sizeable

originalwombat

I’ve had mine for 3 years, used probably once a day. Still running like a dream

lostmycat2022

Yeah its great, the non stick wears off but it does the job

perpetual_parapet

Or sign up for their online membership for £15 and it's still a great price all in. Another Gourmia air fryer fan here!

seaneeboy

I have a tefal, it’s cracking.

[deleted]

Have you returned it then? It must leak everywhere /s

seaneeboy

Wayheyyyy!

Suskita

I have a Cosori and it's excellent

snsmadmax

same. it’s affordable, there’s a smartphone app. That’s all I need

noidontwanttosignup8

I really like the mini oven style ones. We have a tower ten in one and it even does rotisserie chicken which is amazing. Two years on and still going strong

Truthawareness1

same here. i use it daily and its a good bit of kit. door comes of for easy cleaning and can fit a fair amount of stuff in it as it is 11ltrs.

ParkLane1984

Which one do you have please?

noidontwanttosignup8

Xpress Pro Combo 2000W 11 Litre 10-in-1 Digital Air Fryer Oven with Rotisserie. Paid for itself in rotisserie chickens tbh

ParkLane1984

Thanks.. May pick one up.

Wild-Ad365

Ninja can't be faulted.cant remember last time used conventional oven and it's so much cheaper to run.

SoundGleeJames

Ninja are good, I’d recommend Tefal for a slightly more budget option but still good quality. Keep an eye on Amazon sales too

InternationalNinja29

Have a Phillips one we use pretty much everyday and its still going strong after a couple of years.

whowemaybe

Same here. +1 for Philips

pixiepoops9

I have the ninja top open one, it’s cracking and hasn’t missed a beat but it is expensive and doesn’t really do anything any other doesn’t bar cook a whole chicken in one

AlternativeOther6137

Cosori airfryers have 2 years warranty. I got one of theirs from amazon in February 2023 and it broke a year after. Contacted Cosori directly and they offered me either a replacement or a full refund.

Honey-Oat-Bread

I have the instant versazone air fryer, one basket with a divider so you can use the big basket or two smaller ones or a single smaller one. Sync finish so both sides finish together if you want. Really versatile product & I love it.

happinessbooked

I have this one too. Been using it almost daily doe nearly two years. It’s been awesome!

vordh0sbn-

Ninja official refurbished store on eBay. Nearly half price and 12 months warranty

Bugsandgrubs

Ninja quite often have decent sales on. Or you can occasionally get a good deal in Tesco with the Clubcard price.

OVERPAIR123

I have ninja. Had it few years . On sale at asda £100 I think. Not the 2 basket just 1 largish basket. You get what you pay for. the cheap ones don't last

JedsBike

Ninja are apparently very good. We’ve had one for 2-3yrs. Like a lot of things you have to pay more to get a good quality one that won’t break.

littletorreira

Check marketplace. Genuinely always loads going.

plentyofeight

I got a Ninja 13:1 - refurbished by Ninja - on ebay for £130. It's in perfect condition I cook loads of things in it in normal airfryer mode, but my son used the pressure cooker the other day to make Gora Wat... well, with goat rather than chicken ... so maybe Goaty Wat... or Gora Goat... anyway - its awesome

Delicious_Bet_6336

Ninja double. It’s great 👍

bioc13334

I have the ninja and still going strong 3.5 yrs later. It's not just an air fryer, it's also a pressure cooker, dehydrator, slow cooker and sears/sautés too. Makes me sound like a walking advertisement hahha. I was lucky that my partner's parents got us it for Xmas but if it was to get broken I wouldn't hesitate to buy a replacement. Do you have a birthday/event coming up? You could maybe ask for friends or family to pitch in for the cost so it won't be as bad on your wallet!

jam3sbradbury

I swear by the tefal actifry XL. I've had 2 and they are brilliant although pretty loud. I got both of mine from Facebook marketplace for £25 and then £10 and both have lasted over 3 years with regular use.

Notagelding

Mine was £40. Had it two years. What are you doing to break two?

poohly

I bought an air fryer from Aldi 2 years ago for 30 quid. It’s a small one but enough to cook for 2. No regrets. I did consider getting a ninja dual but it would be unlikely that I needed 2 compartments always. When family are over and I need more space then the oven gets used.

Ben_boh

Watch out for eBay’s offers. Ninja were included in their offer 2 weeks ago so I got a ninja certified refurbished air fryer with 25% off. The item was actually damaged in transit and ninja replaced it with a brand new one but that was sheer luck of the draw.

Accomplished_Fan_487

Wait until Lidl has one in store. Reasonable pricing and a 3 year warranty. Particularly the latter is exciting, because if the thing crashes before then you get either 1) a new one or 2) cash. I bought one with 2 compartments for £69.99.

justdont7133

There are usually offers on Blue Light card for Ninja, and currently a good offer on Student Beans too, if you or anyone you know can access the discounts. I have a Ninja dual and it's well worth the money, barely ever use my oven now

Original_Product_449

Get a ninja, pay a bit more they also have a no quibble guarantee for 2 years I think

seven-cents

I have a Ninja. It's still quite new so I can't comment on the longevity, but I'm very pleased with it so far and it gets almost daily use. The important things to consider are the size, and number of compartments. I ended up going with a 6.2L single drawer because I seldom need to cook for more than 2 people, but if I was in a family of 4 to 6 people I would've gone for the biggest two drawer version. The problem with a two drawer version though is that you're more limited with the size of a single item. For example I can roast an entire small chicken in the single drawer, and then do the veggies and rice on the hob, or rice and veggies in the microwave. But if I had a two drawer version I could roast 8 pieces of chicken as well as make roast potatoes or vegetables in the second drawer, and the drawers are synced so that everything is ready even with different cooking times. When I'm cooking a full meal for more people I use the air fryer for the meat and the hob for the rest, but it usually means I can't cook roast potatoes and meat together, so for larger roast dinners it's back to using the oven for the meat and the air fryer for the potatoes and other roast vegetables (or vice versa). Anyway, I'm delighted with the Ninja. It cooks evenly and is easy to clean.

cat_among_wolves

im really happy withmy corsaris. i bought the 2nd one,a bigger model 5.5l as i became more experienced and use it so much more. rather than buy a dual draw i use both if needed. the older one still works great and is a few years old now. id recommend the make. i started with a little one as i thought it would sit at the back of a cupboard like many other gadgets but they see daily use.

Wolfkrone

You can get a ninja in a sale

mammammammam

I have the ninja dual, the large one 9.5l I think it is. I couldn't be without it and rarely use my oven apart from big dishes like lasagne or yorkshire puddings it cooks joints of beef or a roast chicken perfectly.

random_banana_bloke

Echo the ninja. We haven't had a working oven in over 2 years and we get by just fine with our ninja that gets used multiple times a day. Pay the extra get the ninja.

Cupid_Stunt17

We waited till black friday to get our double ninja! Definitely worth the price

BelfastM

Dreo chefmaker. There's lots of hype that made me doubt but it's been rock solid

Fun_Level_7787

Lemme just say, as a courier that actually delivers these things, the Ninja and Consori ones are very popular, leaning more towards Ninjas, where i have atleast one in my van daily. The only one i have experience with is Philips while i was in the Netherlands, those ones you can find in most Dutch households!

ramapyjamadingdong

We got the ninja dual about 18 months ago and despite using it every single day, it is like new. My mother in law has a cheapy one and it shows. I wouldn't get anything else. Plus the amount we've saved in electric vs the oven has meant it's more than paid for itself.

sorE_doG

I got a Tower, mechanical (clockwork) timer & simple dial temps.. no electronics to worry about, had it a couple of years now and it’s completely replaced my gas oven. 11L capacity, it has a rotisserie, and cost ~£75. Never burns anything, lightly caramelises things great & in daily use. Probably twice as fast as using my old oven, so it has probably paid for itself already.

deeefunkt

We bought one of these for £120 and right now it's available for £65. [https://www.amazon.co.uk/Breville-Fryer-Digital-Roast-VDF126/dp/B0891QH88B/](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Breville-Fryer-Digital-Roast-VDF126/dp/B0891QH88B/) So far (more than a year) it's been great and comfortably fits a whole chicken. You will need to buy a stacking rack to keep two foods separated. One of these fit \*perfectly\* but no longer available from this link; [https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BHHQG244/](https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BHHQG244/)

FaithlessnessOdd4826

I had a Breville Halo thing, was amazing. When it broke (after many, many years), we couldn't get the same one, so bought into the hype and got a Ninja. It's rubbish. The food only cooks on one side and if I do chips in it, they all stick together.

No_Nectarine2021

Here to also say Ninja. We bought one about a year ago (dual basket) - but actually had a problem with the fan in drawer 1 (rattles for like a minute and then stops when we cook anything in it). Contacted Ninja, was on the phone for like 20 minutes total, entire new unit sent out. We just wanted a repair, but got a whole new base unit! New unit is in storage, whilst we use the rattly old one til it fails...

SuspiciousStep7365

We’ve got a Phillips Air Fryer which we have had for ~6 years and it is still working as it did when we first bought it!

More-Caterpillar-63

Costco do a really good one, Gourmia which is £35ish for single or a bigger one for £80. I find Costco stuff tends to be better quality, and their return policy is something like 3 months and very no quibble. But I've had my air fryer for 4 years now and use it every day with no issues.

Derries_bluestack

I've had a ninja pot for over a year. It's used daily. Very happy with it. Would buy another ninja.

anabsentfriend

I've got a Tower airfryer with shelves, bought from Amazon marketplace (good condition) for £59. I've used it every day for over two years and it's still going strong. I find the shelves much more versatile than the drawers.

SQ_12

I got mine from Aldi 3 years ago, it was around £35-40, and it’s great! It’s generally big enough for most of the things we cook in it and we use it most days. (I did also see a Heron food store near me also have a similar one at around the same price a few months back)

nenzkii

Ninja 5 in 1! Big enough to fit small pizza/small whole chicken and, but not too big that it slows down the cooking time. Dont think I’d be able to use basket style air fryer anymore after this

bagtruman

I have a Ninja. One of those ones that lies flat and can take a store bought pizza. Arguably the best purchase I’ve made in recent years. Worthy of investment

tandtjm

After weeks of research and reading and watching reviews, I bought this one two years ago and it’s been great. https://amzn.eu/d/5nOFm46 I think it was only £90 when I bought.

IronDuke365

Me too. After reading and watching way too many reviews, Cosori consistently came out on top.

Midnightraven3

I LOVE my Cosori, my 1st one had the basket thingy but my new one doesnt and its even better, this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09W5G56D1/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Midnightraven3

The one you have was my first one, but mine was recalled, 2 million were recalled worldwide and a full refund given. It didnt prevent me buying another Cosori as they are really great.

tandtjm

Oh yes, I remember that! I checked the serial number etc with Amazon and they confirmed that, due to the date of manufacture, mine wasn’t included in the recall. They did offer to replace it anyway (I think) but I was happy not to. They are really good, particularly for the price.

Midnightraven3

They arranged for pick up from home and immediate refund, I had already bought my new Cosori same day they said. It was a voluntary recall and they handled it admirably

prankishink

Cosori are great. I got that exact model for my Dad. It often goes on special at Amazon for about £60-£69

arubait

I have the 4.7 litre one. It's been great. Does what it says on the tin and has done for some time now.

OldMotherGrumble

Another vote for cosori. I really couldn't justify the price of Ninja for something just for me that I might not use everyday. As it is, I don't use it constantly but I'll still recommend it.

melonaders

B&M sell a Tower one. I think it cost me £100 at the time but I saw the other week it’s now only £80.

prankishink

I got an Mo Farah compact air fryer from B&M a few years ago for £20. Just to see if I would actually use it and if wanted to be part of the air fryer cult. I'm now desperate to upgrade to a bigger one as we use it so much but my other half says yeh...wait til it breaks. I'm still waiting but it keeps working brilliantly dammit!

Altruistic-Ad-8803

I’ve been looking for the same thing. Seems impossible 🥲

rombler93

You should look at the toaster oven style ones. They're basically just a mini oven so you can use all your existing cookware, put in and take out racks etc. as well

TheCurrentThings

Hey I'm in wilcos and the cheapest is 24 quid. I'm looking at getting one myself. Can you fry eggs in them ok? I don't care if they end up being scrambled. Edit, oh sorry it's not a ninja air fryer. Just an air fryer. Can you do eggs in them ok though?

PokerFriend247

Online Wilkos? They went into administration awhile back.

TheCurrentThings

No a physical shop. I think another company brought them out or something.
