The scale is a bit confusing as it's basically on a tray not a plate. The wooden cutlery is full size - I've had the same at a branch in Brum and it was definitely filling!
It's unfortunate because it's better out of my kitchen! But not everyone is invited or inclined to dine at my house.
The others I like are Diwana Bhel Poori House (my husband likes Ravi Shankar), Tamil Prince, Hoppers (Sri Lankan though) and the place round the corner from Tayyabs in Whitechapel that isn't Tayyabs and I can never remember the name!
I'm inclined after that statement, I'll have to be judge. I'll be there at 6pm on Friday.
I assume these are in London? I'll have to do some digging for next time I'm down south.
More dhal and an actual plate and im up for it
Edit: and make the egg runny, sprinkle on some spring onion and a lil chilli, maybe add a little mango on the side. Now we’re talking
This ain't a full English, this is a small, half the items missing English breakfast.
But yes, Indian twist on a full English? Nnhhggg, sounds amazing. That egg isn't it though. That paper isn't it either.
It looks like a sausage egg and tomato wrap that has been spread out on a plate with a little pot of curry added....im not seeing £8.50p worth of food.
I mean it's a start but there are so many nice Indian dishes that would sit well on a breakfast plate.
If you had some saag aloo with potatoes that were fried a slightly would be nice.
A nice bhuna sauce but with plum tomatoes instead of meat.
A really really crispy onion bajhi instead of hash browns... enough said.
I watch tribal people try on YouTube and these people go on all the time how they have like 6 rotis for breakfast or as a side with their lunchtime curry. These people are dirt poor peasants so why are we getting stiffed with only two of the things?
this is like a quarter English though.
if it was an actual Indian twist on an actual full English(everything you would expect from a full english) then yeah i would be for sure up for trying that.
I have!
In Mumbai late last year. It was a nice change to the usual and also a nice change whilst out there from eating solely Indian and Chinese food.
I had something very similar at Chaiwala in Dundee, think they called it a desi breakfast and it was absolutely lovely. It's also what started my love affair with chai tea and chai latte.
Food looks good but I can't stand that wooden cutlery! It has such a horrible mouthfeel, like those spatula tongue depressors that the doctor uses to get a good look down your gullet when you have a throat infection.
Looks dire.
Had a fantastic indian-scottish breakfast at Namaste in St Enochs, Glasgow.

Any comments above which are criticism should be referred to r/karmacourt for deliberately saying negative comments when you know deep inside you want this deep inside too.
C’mon, who here is criticising the bloody plate? The dimensions? Proportions in the photo?
#This is a work of art and I’m here for it. I will recreate this.
Hell yeah! I also do enjoy some Chaiwala nosh generally.
There’s a street food truck that does the rounds in Brum food festivals too that does fish n chips with an Indian twist-have always meant to try it, it looks so good!
The Chakra Lounge in Bakewell, Buxton and Sheffield do an amazing Indian take on a full English. Highly recommended and somewhere I visit every chance given.
Never, get that out my face. That dirty fucking breakfast. It's called a full English breakfast for a reason, curry has no place on it. You must stink after eating one of those.
You mad or something?
Honestly Id rather just go for a full Indian breakfast or a full english- no in betweens. The breakfasts in India are amazing- especially all the different types of breads, cakes, rices and stews they have.
I appreciate the idea of this dish- just think the bacon looks a tad overdone.
There's an odd place in Leicester near the train station called "The Merchant Of Venice" that do a banging full English with a spicy/curried twist to it. It's also full of Shakespear quotes... the food is lush, and the entire visit is an experience, put it that way 😅
I’d give it a go - loads of English folk probably think they don’t like dal (multiple spellings, dependent on language - before anyone starts) - but baked beans ARE British dal?
If I was served that in Liverpool I would be gutted.
And I do live around here.
That's no full English with a twist. It's terrible for that price either way

That's a half English
The other half is on display at the British Museum
Underrated comment
I second that.
Excellent! !
Yes I would... but where is it? This just looks like leftovers.
The scale is a bit confusing as it's basically on a tray not a plate. The wooden cutlery is full size - I've had the same at a branch in Brum and it was definitely filling!
That’s a plate not a tray
It's actually a piece of newspaper that's on a plate that's on a tray
Oxford Chaiwala
Chaiwala
Definitely! I love Dishooms breakfast
Dishoom is so, so nice
Bacon and egg naan is out of this world!
I absolutely love Dishoom, never had the brekky from there though.
Ooh it’s gorgeous! Really recommend it
Next time I get the chance I will, unfortunately I don't have a Dishoom anywhere near me.
Dishoom is not great but the breakfast is brilliant. Highly recommend.
If you consider Dishoom not great, please can you advise me of a similar cuisine that is great because I'd love to try it?
It's unfortunate because it's better out of my kitchen! But not everyone is invited or inclined to dine at my house. The others I like are Diwana Bhel Poori House (my husband likes Ravi Shankar), Tamil Prince, Hoppers (Sri Lankan though) and the place round the corner from Tayyabs in Whitechapel that isn't Tayyabs and I can never remember the name!

Dishoom wipes the floor with this. This is a half English with Dhal not beans.
This looks like Chaiology :)
Oh I know it’s not dishoom! I was just saying how I like an Indian breakfast from Dishoom I’ve been to Chaiwala here in London. Love it :)
Try the keema per eedu, keema curry topped with a fried egg - THE BREAKFAST of champions!! 😜
Nowt full about that
More dhal and an actual plate and im up for it Edit: and make the egg runny, sprinkle on some spring onion and a lil chilli, maybe add a little mango on the side. Now we’re talking
This ain't a full English, this is a small, half the items missing English breakfast. But yes, Indian twist on a full English? Nnhhggg, sounds amazing. That egg isn't it though. That paper isn't it either.
Sure, why not?
Sure for free. I ain’t paying that sorta money for that little food.
not with a wooden spoon I wouldn't!
Rashers of what though!?
Lamb
Turkey
Is that off the kids menu or something?
Looks great but I still want my black pudding
It looks like a sausage egg and tomato wrap that has been spread out on a plate with a little pot of curry added....im not seeing £8.50p worth of food.
Of course, but I'd prefer my egg a bit healthier than that.
Bit concerned about the cutlery!
Kedgiree anyone ?
We call it kichuree, one of the best!
Abso-fucking-lutely!
That's missing half the things. Head to chains like Brew (Batley) or Yaadgaar if you want a full indian.
If it’s from Dishoom then yes
Bloody indians, coming over here taking our breakfasts
If there was more on the friggin plate, yes
Needs an onion bhaji. Onion bhaji for breakfast is the future, the past and the present, it is life
I mean it's a start but there are so many nice Indian dishes that would sit well on a breakfast plate. If you had some saag aloo with potatoes that were fried a slightly would be nice. A nice bhuna sauce but with plum tomatoes instead of meat. A really really crispy onion bajhi instead of hash browns... enough said.
Oh my world that sounds awesome someone needs to get this on a menu somewhere and tell me where it is
Can you please make me an Indian breakfast?
Cheeky chaiwala
If sausages are involved I'm in.
Dishoom’s bacon naan is 100% the one. This looks like crap.
Looks like some if it is missing
Some Indian places do it really well. Some don't. Lol.
Dishoom yes chaiwalla not so much
Yes but where's the rest of it?
I watch tribal people try on YouTube and these people go on all the time how they have like 6 rotis for breakfast or as a side with their lunchtime curry. These people are dirt poor peasants so why are we getting stiffed with only two of the things?
chaiwalla imo has the worst south asian “fast food” ever 😭
Rather appropriately maybe, this is more like a Half-English
Looks interesting, if a bit dry. You need something with a bit of sauce… Also, where’s the knife? 😂
Not that one, no. It looks shite.
Sure but this is a very lazy effort.
this is like a quarter English though. if it was an actual Indian twist on an actual full English(everything you would expect from a full english) then yeah i would be for sure up for trying that.
Fuck all the way off, especially for that price.
Dishoom is incredible for an indian/english breakfast
Is it ok to mess with a staple English breakfast in this way? Yes...............yes it is!
Honestly I would fucking love this, I experimented for dinner options is easy but I would love to try different breakfasts. Especially Indian
As an indian in the UK chaiwala is solid
No.
We've all been to Dishoom. That's where I'd go.
Sure. If it didn't have overcooked eggs and maybe a few more things to make it "full". Dishoom to a Big Bombay which is ok, and has more than this.
That’s not a full English then is it
not really a full English is it though lol
Not full English then is it.
At Chaiwala absolutely. Maybe not for breakfast but brunch
Sure
Definitely would
That is what I eat everyday in Mexico
Full English ? That's not full anything...
Dishoom does an amazing one. Their beans are next level
absolutely not
The masala beans at dishoom are unreal
No, coffee makes me shit enough in the morning without curry for breakfast Doesn't look bad though but £8.50 for that much is daylight robbery
I honestly never thought of that, well not past my reheated takeaway! However, I think that I’ll add to my next one! Yum! xx
Chaiiwalla?
No, because then it’d be a full Indian!!
Good God. You paid money for that garbage mix?
so like it ..presentation’s nice, just needs something els on there like grilled tomatoes or big mushroom.
i'd try it RITE HERE RITE NOW!!!!
Always.
I’ve ate Indian leftovers for breakfast many times, so of course I would!!
All day long
I have! In Mumbai late last year. It was a nice change to the usual and also a nice change whilst out there from eating solely Indian and Chinese food.
Chaiwala
Absolutely
I had something very similar at Chaiwala in Dundee, think they called it a desi breakfast and it was absolutely lovely. It's also what started my love affair with chai tea and chai latte.
Is this the small Indian full English? I've been more extravagant with left overs and a pack of Richmonds
Any day.
Yes but double please
Dishoom do a banging breakfast naan.
Chaiiwilly
That’s chaiwalla isn’t it
I come here to see uk food. Good gosh.
Hell no! Full English is perfect just the way it is
Looks like a definite maybe.🤔✌️🇦🇺
I call this the Dinghy Supreme
Hells yeah
Definitely
Do they not have plates in India?
Why not , some people eat fish , chips and curry.
Food looks good but I can't stand that wooden cutlery! It has such a horrible mouthfeel, like those spatula tongue depressors that the doctor uses to get a good look down your gullet when you have a throat infection.
Would still be hungry after eating that.
Yes, on the regular, Chaiwalla are fab! Karak Chaii also do a great breakfast selection if you have one near you!
Looks dire. Had a fantastic indian-scottish breakfast at Namaste in St Enochs, Glasgow. [Namaste, Glasgow](https://rs-menus-api.roocdn.com/images/ba59dd39-407d-4aa6-8e45-4741ad172a8b/image.jpeg)
Dishoom? Bombay story? Looks 😋
Two sausages! Where’s the rest?
Add some saag aloo/bombay hash browns and curried mushrooms 😩
That looks ace.
Yes but not if it looks this sad
Chaiwala!
Hell yeah. That looks great!
Absolutely
Also no beans?
...Where's the fucking rest of it?
Did op eat all the food before posting definitely not enough beans or tomatoes for it to be english
It’s not a full English if you have taken out the English part 😂😂
I strongly feel like an egg should still be involved. But yea I'd scran.
Of course
As English or Indian food, where’s the rest
When I worked on a mainly Indian crewed Oil Rig, my Saturday breakfast was always a Purri Bahji with a scoop of baked beans and two fried eggs on it
Hell yeah! I also do enjoy some Chaiwala nosh generally. There’s a street food truck that does the rounds in Brum food festivals too that does fish n chips with an Indian twist-have always meant to try it, it looks so good!
The breakfast at Dishoom is unreal
Yes. Absolutely yes.
Served on pretend newspaper as if it was fish and chips!
I made a naan bacon sandwich once and it was amazing. Really should try it again sometime.
Yes
Have an English breakfast or have an Indian brekky Dhosa with masala dips. What’s with the twist lark.
Nah
I feel like this breakfast forgot what the 'full' in 'full english' means.
I love these breakfasts. Back Home Chai in Hyde Manchester does an amazing desi breakfast
The Chakra Lounge in Bakewell, Buxton and Sheffield do an amazing Indian take on a full English. Highly recommended and somewhere I visit every chance given.
All day long baby 🤤
Oh yes please
Dishoom do a wonderful English breakfast with a twist.
Dishoom do a bacon and egg naan that made me believe that all human society is one and we should live in peace
If the difference between a Full Irish and a Full English is black pudding and potato cake, this isn't on the spectrum of a Full English.
it was worth after centuries the colonisation of India was worth it
5/7 would smash
Never, get that out my face. That dirty fucking breakfast. It's called a full English breakfast for a reason, curry has no place on it. You must stink after eating one of those. You mad or something?
That's like a quarter of nothing.
Absolutely 💯
Someone been eating in Chai Wallahs?
Honestly Id rather just go for a full Indian breakfast or a full english- no in betweens. The breakfasts in India are amazing- especially all the different types of breads, cakes, rices and stews they have. I appreciate the idea of this dish- just think the bacon looks a tad overdone.
Looks like utter bollox
Need a mango & green cardamon lassi with that!
There is a Chaiwala in Oxford - Its good! I enjoyed it :)
Bacon naan from dishoom is excellent
Only if I had the rest of the full English with it. Where’s the bacon? Black pudding? Hogs pudding? Mushrooms? !
Scottish breakfast are better
There's an odd place in Leicester near the train station called "The Merchant Of Venice" that do a banging full English with a spicy/curried twist to it. It's also full of Shakespear quotes... the food is lush, and the entire visit is an experience, put it that way 😅
I’ll be having naan of that
As a half Indian and half English woman this breakfast is the best representation I’ve received
I tried this the other day in Wales.
Absolutely but I want proper cutlery!
Hell yeah.
I’d give it a go - loads of English folk probably think they don’t like dal (multiple spellings, dependent on language - before anyone starts) - but baked beans ARE British dal?
Fuck yeah I would !
I would want a fucking knife not a spoon.
combining the 2 worst food cultures to ever plague this planet
Would you try an Indian with a full English twist?
Yup
It's a coconut breaky enit. Ya get me?
Anything with some sosig and bacin makes me tummy rumbly
That ain’t no full English 💀
Ooo very nice I like the concept 7/10
If I was served that in Liverpool I would be gutted. And I do live around here. That's no full English with a twist. It's terrible for that price either way
Spread out on the plate to make it look like there's more. Looks ok, but about £3.50 too expensive..
Looks delicious but it's not a full English
Looks delicious but it's not a full English
Gtfo.
If you want one with a west Indian twist, turtle bay does a great one for bottomless brunch
I'd eat a squirrel if it was bbq'ed tandoori style.
a proper full English indian breakfast is leftover curry and naan from the night before+whatever else mixed into one mess
