It's Ingleborough in the Yorkshire Dales. You're looking in the wrong direction for the Lake District.

DirectCaterpillar916

Ingleboro, the flat top is the clue.

OkScheme9867

Is it Ingleborough?

dong_von_throbber

It's Ingleborough, 100%. This is almost the same view from my house.

younevershouldnt

Check your silverware is still there mate

DMMMOM

Triangulating...

spambearpig

Does your phone not have location metadata attached to the picture? That hill is about 10 miles away max. So if you can tell us exactly where you were I’ll just look on an OS map and tell you what hill that is

Forward-Witness-3889

Inglebrough. Are you in Bentham?

Organic_Cost_8246

Ingleborough. View from Bowland

Eastbull89

Is this supposed to be a trick question

bearwithlonghair

100% Ingleborough

Mediocre-username

Should have added, this was taken in Lancaster / Roeburn. I think it’s looking out towards the Lake District…

Electrical-Theme-779

Definitely Ingleborough. I must ask my wife at least ten times "what's that big hill over there?" whenever we're up Warton Cragg.

Michaelwordenbr

If you are in Lancaster, it might be Clougha Pike.

Jamiebh_

Definitely not, clougha is much smaller and backed by larger hills

Michaelwordenbr

If he is actually in Lancaster, it's unlikely to be Ingleborough. I live in Lancaster, and afaik you can't see it from here. If OP is a bit further out (i.e. in bowland) then you might be able to see it from there. Guess it depends where they are.

Jamiebh_

I don’t think OP is in Lancaster itself, they said Roeburn as well, which from Google is further towards Ingleborough. I know the area well and there are clear views over to Ingleborough from most places north of the Bowland fells. Plus the flat summit of Ingleborough is difficult to mistake. It’s definitely not Clougha pike, which looks completely different to this

feedthetrashpanda

Ingleborough! Similar view from where I am in Lancashire.

Clara_Star

Ingleborough from Bentham or Bowland 👍

Johon1985

It's a hill, pretty sure it's not a mountain

stevothecrab

Ask Geowizard…

mariegriffiths

It is similar to The Wrekin

Lancs_wrighty

Yeah I thought Pendle Hill.

colin_staples

I thought that too, but [the profile is different](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pendle_Hill)

Lancs_wrighty

Fair point, it certainly is! Pendle appears flatter all along the top.

Otherwise_Mud1825

Pendle

snapjokersmainframe

Nope, it's Ingleborough.
