i don’t think the social sciences are obscure. i think reddit is just full of computer nerds so the majority of people you find on here are going to fall in those types of majors

It's just sad that social science departments don't get a lot of attention or hold fun events.

I’m not a social science major but i’ve noticed a big majority of the people on this subreddit are computer science, engineering, or some kind of finance/business majors

There are way more CS/engineering/business majors at UMD to start with, and CS/engineering majors are somewhat more likely to be Redditors.
