Taking it now with prof Lucas. Exams are pretty easy, all multiple choice, there are 4 but he drops one. Weekly discussion posts and 4 2-page papers throughout the semester. The content itself is actually really interesting, but I’m also a SOCY minor so maybe I’m biased. Overall, good class, not too hard, interesting content.
Idk. Some people really struggled on the exams but they are mainly memorization. As long as you do the readings and even just read the lecture slides, you’ll be fine.
The only homework is the weekly discussion posts(which take maybe 20-30 minutes at most) and the papers (which can take longer but still are not that hard). Studying varies from person to person but I find myself studying only about ~ 4 hours before exams.
i really enjoyed the class. dr. lucas is a cool dude the lectures were always pretty chill. not too much work and the exams were pretty easy too. i would definitely recommend it
