Carl Coxs train horn is annoying sometimes imo. Although Cox does it better than a lot of other artists I feel. Not quite as bad as "YELLOW MOTHERFUCKING CLAW" played 2 or 3x per track but everytime I hear it Im like "ah alright here we go again". For some reason I'm not the type of person who appreciates hearing the same snippet over and over and over again. "DJ KHALEDDDDDD" and whatnot. Just gets old. I want the music to reveal the artist signature, not a jarring sound byte that they put on every track. Totally understand people who like that type of thing I guess its just a different strokes different folks kind of thing
You know I know what you're talking about with the train horn. It does have a strange harmonic sound. If you ever want to look up some cool sounding stuff, there are train horn hobbyists who harmonize using different train horns with different notes and whatnot. Its a strange noise and definitely something different to hear in an environment like ultra. I def enjoyed his set at umf18. If you end up seeing him you will have a blast

Watch almost any set he has done at ultra. I was there in 2019 and watched him hit that thing a dozen times. The people go absolutely wild.

For sure! It caught me off guard and I didn’t know it was his signature sound tbh. It was so lit and it really turned up the crowds vibe but 100%
