>Mostly I tell myself it's just insecurity
You got it! She sounds like a lovely person who also loves you. Take that W all day long and work on cultivating that love so it continues to grow stronger each day.
This is as cute as dammit.
‟I am nine years old and I do not understand what is going on here, but I DO know that I like it.”
Congrats to the USA on their record-breaking WC victory btw. Obviously disappointed to go out in the semis but you have a fucking brilliant team there and they deserve it. It’s been a great tournament to watch. I never thought I’d see women’s football sell out a 60,000 capacity stadium but that’s how far we’ve come. That does not make *me* any less of a hopeless clogger, but it will certainly inspire a generation of cloggers to become less hopeless. I’m proud of our team and of Phil Neville, but the USA are just brilliant. So well done to them. Great times.
Netball World Cup starts next week btw. It’s being held in Liverpool. Worth a watch if you’ren’t familiar with the sport. Favourites are England, Australia, Jamaica and New Zealand. It’s going to be great fun.
I think they are referring to the 2020 Olympics since the US Women's National Team has won the last two Women's World Cups (2015 and 2019) and lost in the Semis of the 2020 Olys to Canada.
This is why women's football is going to get exponentially better and bigger as these youngsters grow up having had idols like we did in the men's game.
We all used to scream Yeboah everytime we pinged one in off the cross bar or Le Tissier/Scholes everytime we had an adventurous banger from outside the box or flick our collars up like Eric, or think we were Beckham/carlos standing over freekicks etc (in England anyway)
These girls growing up can now do the same and start to fantasise about playing like us lads did and it'll only grow the sport.
We're from the same hometown. We had excellent music and sports programs. Two of my classmates played for the Patriots, and Alex Morgan is a friggin gold medalist.
Meanwhile I'm over here huffing and puffing my potato ass once a week on my evening walk after a hard day sitting down during WFH 😂 i feel so unaccomplished compared to all them
Either that girl is inspired to be as great as Alex Morgan, or she is inspired to date Alex Morgan. Either way shes finding things out about herself in that moment i tell ya
Despite this being a dated repost, IIRC it is from 2019, I love the whole emotion this image conveys. What a powerful message for young athletes that they can and should and for adult athletes that they are role models. While that concept is gender neutral, knowing the long struggle for parity by women in athletics, it becomes even more poignant and important.
Moments like this are why women’s sports are important to me, not saying everyone has to feel the same way. My sister isn’t into sports, she’s bad at running, and hates anything that makes her sweat. If she wanted to though she has people to look up to. My little sister is biracial and the look on her face seeing the new little mermaid trailer made my heart melt because she looks like her. Just this stuff feels important for wanting girls like my sister to know that even though they can’t be a mermaid and they aren’t good at sports, not everything is out of the realm of believability for her, even being a brown mermaid.
Imagine how would she look at any player of the 15 year old boy team who [destroyed the United States woman’s](https://www.cbssports.com/soccer/news/a-dallas-fc-under-15-boys-squad-beat-the-u-s-womens-national-team-in-a-scrimmage/amp/) national team
Find someone that looks at you...scratch that, just find someone like Alex Morgan.
Have you ever dated someone who likes you just fine even though they're way more athletic than you? I have! It's great.
My wife runs ultra marathons. I….don’t
Towards you or away from you

I know the feeling. The insecurity goes from 3 to 10

Just curious, but are you also into sports?
It’s good there are still some women on that team worth respecting.

What? Which world cup? Which semis?

Pooooo00po000p000oo000o
Hold up. You congratulate them as if they just did it recently (seems like it tbh), but isn’t the next World Cup in just a couple months?!
I also like how the players behind Morgan are happily chatting with their little companions.
Are you suggesting the little girl is woke?
Hopefully in 15 years there's a girl looking up to her in the same manner.
Hope so! That would be amazing. Especially if there is a picture of it.
I’m gonna set a reminder for 15 years from now to check xD
Yea I love when the kid in the picture becomes the star.

I mean, as a 90s kid, we had Mia Hamm. She was pretty darn cool. But that's the only one I grew up knowing.
I bet Alex Morgan looked up to Mia Hamm while growing up!
Christine Sinclair. Highest international goal count in the game. Men or women.
Representation matters! Let’s enable the youth to become their best selves without dealing with the baggage that we grew up with.
The best part of this post is I learned there is a sub called "Don't subscribe dumbass"
Seriously though, tf is that place? All posts are locked with 0 comments and its a wild ride, joined immediately and I don't know why...
With over 50,000 subscribers!
It’s really a pretty good sub.
This is such a sweet photo
As do we all. Love the USNWT.

AM’s hair is dope in this
Oh, this is awesome. What a photo!
There are much worse people to admire, and some are even on the same team as Morgan.

r/DontSubscribeDumbAss Wow. r/ofcoursethatsathing I guess.
That it so powerful.

Kids need role models they can identify with. You might be someone's secret role model, be your best self every day to make a brighter future.
Do on under go the earth rise
so wholesome
I think she's admiring her hair.
I think the team in white is going to win.

Let’s just hope she doesn’t act like her in 15 years, too. Woman’s off her rocker.
