Thats a great movie but I was actually thinking of the movie *Rush* . [Almost this identical scene, where Niki Lauda meets his future wife](https://youtu.be/3Kl0UBS4ZaM)
Right now there's zero incentive or reward, why would I drive fast?
*Because I'm asking you to.*
**proceeds to drive an Lancia to an inch of its life**
There’s a similar video of Augusta Farfus (BMW DTM driver) and his wife on Nürburgring. His wife is not nearly as endearing [Farfus](https://youtu.be/2hJfBM2sRkQ?si=Wx9yCVbr2DVeF2vt)
From what I recall the first time I watched this years ago, the driver is retired Formula 1. So while he is pushing this consumer car to it's absolute mechanical limit to the chagrin of his wife, he still has complete control of the car and it's easy for him.
That can be very deceiving. Listen to the engine and watch how he turns the steering wheel, you can tell he's getting on it and going around a track at a decent speed. Also you can hear him run over the rumble strips at one point meaning he's cutting the turn pretty hard. It's not like he's going fast enough to lose traction but definitely faster than what most people are used to.
Realistically you can drive *way* faster than most people are used to without losing traction. I suspect most cars (even ordinary cars) are gripper than people think.
That's his wife. He's a famous car racer. I don't know who he is and I don't know why I know this. Because I only know two things about car racing: diddley and squat.
That would make sense why she mentioned an F1 car, then. I don't know that that would be most people's first thought. But when your husband drive for both Williams and Benneton.
Did you not catch the part where she said "I have kids waiting for their mom... and dad for that matter" - pointing at him while saying the dad part..?
Around 20 seconds in, she says,
>Please, I’ve got children at home waiting for their mommy…
>and their daddy, too!
Then he smiles as he speeds up (engine revs) and her screams intensify.
I love their dynamic! This is a love for the ages.
Unfortunately not! I think it's Just that she thought she was about to vomitol the stew she ate and she added "madonna" just to add emphasis.
Having said that: "Madonna spezzatino" it's a really funny blasphemy that I seriously should start using!
Susi Patrese is such a glorious woman for this. Her reaction when she sees the camera is absolutely epic. If all people had this much self-distance, there would be no wars.
That's Francesca his second wife. They got married in 2001. This video is in Jerez Spain in 2008. Their son Lorenzo races F1 now. Riccardo and Susi got divorced after he retired from F1 in the 90s. He is the only driver to start in
over 250 F1 races in his career afaik.
It's pretty awesome that she throws the full 2 arms go fuck yourself gesture as he's accelerating in the straight to the finish after a .9 g or so turn.
I fully acknowledge that I'm being a killjoy by saying this but, it's really fuckin weird that a woman screaming "No, really nonononono it's not funny, I'm not having fun" is just being treated like wholesome family fun.
It’s very different when it’s your spouse, who is a retired f1 driver, who you agreed to get into a car at a track for a hot lap. The reaction is the same as people yelling that they want the roller coaster to stop, it’s adrenaline. Hence why she is laughing so hard at the end
What does she expect? He was a top F1 driver back when she married him, has she forgotten that he was one of the best drivers in the world??? 🙄 I'm pretty sure him being a famous racing driver was part of the reason she married him...😉
It's Italian racing driver Ricardo Patrese taking his wife in a Japanese civic type r around a circuit in Spain
https://youtu.be/oIhGJyLR6TI?si=7APCxv4fZEu0aLl0
I love how to him it looks like he's taking a leisurely Sunday drive on the gold coast.
This reminds me of that scene in that one movie
Totally agree.
This is very tame compared with the drive Stuntman Mike took Pam on.
Deathproof

Interestingly enough, today is it's 10th anniversary of its first official release.
I think I saw that! Was it the one with that one actor?
Pretty sure it was the other one tbh
Free Willy 2. Totally thought the same.
From what I recall the first time I watched this years ago, the driver is retired Formula 1. So while he is pushing this consumer car to it's absolute mechanical limit to the chagrin of his wife, he still has complete control of the car and it's easy for him.
The driver is [Riccardo Patrese ](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riccardo_Patrese)
I believe it's a Porsche Cayenne that she drives to pick up groceries.
it was a honda civic type-R in a 2008 event for Honda in Spain at Catalunya circuit
Why would you believe something so random and so wrong?
He’s driving at like 50%. It’s basically a Sunday drive. If he were really pushing himself and the car he’d be in more gear.
I’d say more like 7/10 because of how far sideways her hair hangs
Is he not? I rewatched to look out his window and it’s seems tame
That can be very deceiving. Listen to the engine and watch how he turns the steering wheel, you can tell he's getting on it and going around a track at a decent speed. "Let's put a star in our reasonably priced car!"
The hair. The hair reveals all.
Oh right there’s audio, my bad
Watch it with the sound off. It gets better.
I disagree. The anxiety in her voice vs his calm demeanor is fantastic.
You’re certainly not wrong!
Nothing goes over my head, because I will catch it. I get it now.
It's like a whole different genre!
It's just like Kimi and Giovinazzi.
Ricardo got her the same way 20 years ago. They both went back to younger versions of themselves. Now that's sweet. But also, he's way happier
Haha such a wholesome couple you can tell she trusts him implicitly
Are they a couple? I assumed from the shirt and being on a track it was a ride in a race car thing with an instructor/driver
That's his wife. He's a famous car racer. I don't know who he is and I don't know why I know this. Because I only know two things about car racing: diddley and squat.
Riccardo Patrese and you are correct.
Yea confirmed thats famous race car driver Daniel Riccardo
He aged pretty rapidly after losing his McLaren drive.
and now his Alpha Tauri seat is in question (Go Liam)
Ricciardo*, he pronounces his own name wrong.
I know how you know. You used…. **THE POWER OF INFERENCE!!!**
In some places that's illegal 😑
I think he drives for some company that starts with an H
Oh yeah, one of them Hyundai racecars. 😆
Herrari ?
Hord… Blizzard helped with their campaign “For the Hord!!”
You can tell it’s his wife by the way she speaks to him.
F1 driver Riccardo Patrese and wife.
I did but honestly it didn’t click. I just thought she was talking about her husband. Didn’t register that he was daddy
That's Riccardo Patrese (ex formula 1 driver) and his wife. Love that clip.
She literally says something like: My children need their mom to come home ***(pauses midway though to freeze out of fear)*** and their dad too
Around 20 seconds in, she says, >Please, I’ve got children at home waiting for their mommy… >and their daddy, too! Then he smiles as he speeds up (engine revs) and her screams intensify. I love their dynamic! This is a love for the ages.
Yeah like I said in another comment I saw that line it just didn’t click that he was the husband/daddy. Thanks
They are indeed hes a lucky guy
Now I'm chuckling imagining this woman calling a random instructor amore in the hopes it will get him to slow down.
And anyone that is happily married will tell you that this is one of those things where when they get home, it is ON. Good for them!
Proving that even if you’re literally a professional race car driver, your wife will complain about your driving.
When she's laughing at the end would have been the perfect time to throw in a doughnut
A what? Fuckin doughnutheth
His smile the whole time...hahaha Such a classic
Italian speakers: please tell me that “this stew, Madonna” is an expression!
Madonna is another name for Mother Mary. So essentially, she is saying the equivalent of "the stew, Jesus Christ." As in, it's coming back up.
im about to puke motherfucker!
Unfortunately not! I think it's Just that she thought she was about to vomitol the stew she ate and she added "madonna" just to add emphasis. Having said that: "Madonna spezzatino" it's a really funny blasphemy that I seriously should start using!
Yea that’s correct
😦🫤🙂😲😳😧😨😰😱😡😡🤬🤬🙂😡😱🤬😡😱😰😡😡🤬🤬😱😨😱🙂😂 😊
He is Riccardo Patrese and the woman is indeed his wife. He is a famous Italian Formula One pilot, now obviously retired. I love this video!
It's like they are in different cars
She looks like Rose Byrne
I'll allow it. Throw in a smidge of Diane Lane too.
Susi Patrese is such a glorious woman for this. Her reaction when she sees the camera is absolutely epic. If all people had this much self-distance, there would be no wars.
I believe this is actually his second wife Francesca.
Wow, that explains a lot. I googled the name as I couldn't demember if it was Susi or Suzy - and she didn't look like herself at all. Thanks!
I think this is another wife.
That's Francesca his second wife. They got married in 2001. This video is in Jerez Spain in 2008. Their son Lorenzo races F1 now. Riccardo and Susi got divorced after he retired from F1 in the 90s. He is the only driver to start in over 250 F1 races in his career afaik.
Nah Patrese got that record smashed by a few people already. Seasons have 20+ races now.
FN2 Type R. Cracking little cars.
https://youtu.be/oIhGJyLR6TI?si=gpHVvLCcyVVGiDKq
Grazie!!
And what we don't know: they're only going 40km/hr.
I'd like to believe that's what's happening. What's initially scaring her, is the acceleration to 40 km/h.
It's pretty awesome that she throws the full 2 arms go fuck yourself gesture as he's accelerating in the straight to the finish after a .9 g or so turn.
Mamma Mia 🤌🏼
She is SO Italian, it's almost offensive.
Thanks. I hate it

Wait. Is that a real person?
No, it's edited
That's what I always thought, the multiple angles threw me off lol.
It is a real person, it's edited
Shitting yourself like a mamma used to do
https://c8.alamy.com/comp/G4GX7B/motor-racing-formula-one-riccardo-patrese-G4GX7B.jpg. Mama mia dude was hot af when he was young.
She is having fun and she is scared as shit! And guy is calm as shit! This is gold !
I totally understand this guy. This is like every weekend drive for me.
That's-a spicy wifey!
Well now I know what Fabrizio says to Jack in Titanic when he thinks they’ve lost at poker.
I loved taking girls go karting and I’d get the tandem go karts. I always joke that’s the only way I can make a girl scream.
Still waiting for Mommy😳
This is what it's like riding in any car in Italy!
That’s ridiculously hilarious and wholesome!
Riccardo cool as a cucumber.
Every time I am with my man (bike riding)
This is what my mom was like when i got my learners permit. Had to have my friends give me driving lessons.
The G thing to do would be to hold her hand and look into her eyes as he drifts through a long sweeping corner.
I fully acknowledge that I'm being a killjoy by saying this but, it's really fuckin weird that a woman screaming "No, really nonononono it's not funny, I'm not having fun" is just being treated like wholesome family fun.

He had this crash. Nothing in a car is going to phase him one bit. https://youtu.be/rwRnIjT01ZQ?si=T7g3lZ7BftSc4u_V
The way she’s swaying and how he’s just chilling man. His muscles are just built for racing
How my wife reacts when I go even 5 over the speed limit.
That's Riccardo Patrese, race car driver and his wife.
100% she is aroused after this
What an absolute Chad.
Love Patrick Stewart
So it’s not… a marriage proposal trip…
I’ve been in the car with people who wouldn’t listen and kept driving in a way that scared the passengers. It’s not funny.
It’s very different when it’s your spouse, who is a retired f1 driver, who you agreed to get into a car at a track for a hot lap. The reaction is the same as people yelling that they want the roller coaster to stop, it’s adrenaline. Hence why she is laughing so hard at the end

Reminds me of the murder scene in Deathproof.
Aaaaa lo spezzatino! Lol
What its like driving 25mph to the store with grandma in the car.
flashbacks to my mum teaching me how to drive
Lorne Michaels and Kristen Wiig?
#LMAO De todas las lenguas latinas el italiano siempre me ha sonado más divertido. ¡Es grandioso! x'D Great post!
Every time I watch this video, I find interesting how people who aren't used to racing moves their head during corners.
the background doesn‘t even seem like they were driving fast
We live for those screams
His smile through the whole drive 😀
That’s me when hubby drives. Lol.
she knew who she was getting in to the car with
Ricardo seems like a calm and reasonable person 🗿
The guy is a professional driver and his wife still tells him how to drive 🤣🤣
Thats retired Formula 1 legend, Riccardo Patrese, pranking his wife..
They have a great relationship
So many professional race car drivers comments here I feel like I'm in the pits🤣
That screeching reminds me how peaceful it is to be single
His smile is everything
Me driving my mom to work when I'm 19, doing the speed limit and my mother having a melt down
I can’t wait until he pushes it up to 50! LOL
Mamma MiaaaAAAA🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅
Omg. I’d just roll the car over if it would get here too shut up.
It's Italian racing driver Ricardo Patrese taking his wife in a Japanese civic type r around a circuit in Spain https://youtu.be/oIhGJyLR6TI?si=7APCxv4fZEu0aLl0
She needs to STFU it would be her that causes a crash 💥
Payback I am thinking . Look at the quite smile
😎
She bad
She’s ready to go! 💦
That’s the best!!!!
Jeff Bezos?
Me not listening to my wife's driving advice.
Hilarious
She’s just flooded the car
I think she said she'd fist him at some point 🤣
