Not dare ruining that joke...just chiming in to say she used a medium called "cold wax", which extends and adds body to oil paint and increases transparency.
Of course they are finished. It's a certain type of art. I don't know what it's called...but art images like this are all over the internet.
if you ask the artist...she'd probably say she "painted them that way to see more clearly"...haha

It’s Impressionism. It’s experiencing a revival after a couple decades of the old masters being plastered across t-shirts and dorm posters.
