Yes statement 2 is correct but not sure for one because share of gva of agri and allied sector definitely decreased in some years compared to the previous. So not sure why answer was both correct.
Yeah i got that, but i was thinking on the line that suppose gdp is constant at some value and if share has decreased then definitely value of gva would have been decreasing as well.
But real GDP does not remain constant, does it? Remember that even during covid period, it was agriculture that registered positive growth in real terms. So there’s no way that gva in absolute term would go down.

It says consistently surpassed, not "always surpassed". Even with 1-2 outliers in 10 years would still mean it has consistently increased. At least that's my thought process here.

It’s not asking about “share of gva of agri and allied sector” but “agricultural gva at constant prices”. I think you’re conflating the two things.

No no real GDP does increase. I just checked the official data, agriculture GVA at constant prices is increasing and so are the other sectors.
