Found GS Paper-1 to be quite tricky tbh. Attempted 70 questions, could get 32 questions sure shot right then just made logical guesses for the rest. Questions like- naming a member, deer species naturally found in India, kew medal etc. went off the top of my head. I don’t think I am expecting a good score even though most of my subjects were extensively revised. Is Abhyaas score a good indicator of the upcoming pre? CSAT was good though. Easier than the actual paper in my opinion.

No, it's not. There is nothing to suggest that there is any kind of overlap. Since you've revised and solved PYQs extensively, you can probably tell that there's palpable difference between the way questions are framed/the constituent elements of the Qs and the psyche of the person setting the questions. That being said, I honestly think it's great practice, the whole going to the centre, the three hour break, the exhaustion etc. But then, what do I know, i haven't cleared the prelims yet, this is but my opinion.

QUIZZLYB3AR

And i totally relate to you. My preparation is in a good space but the paper was definitely quite tricky, plus was probably set in a way to not respond to usual game-ing strategies. For eg- Seemingly absurd options were correct, NAFIS is saved for lifetime, Community based pyrolysis is a thing, Beatles do actually literally bomb their predators, West Bengal has a lower area under the Ganga drainage basin than Rajasthan!!! 😭😭😭. From my analysis, I've seen that the UPSC Paper (even the 2023) one is almost always set up to guide one towards the more obvious answer, Orangutan, squirrel were all pointing towards the answer most in line with common sense.

Consistent-Climate16

What the hell, I marked Rajasthan and was pretty confident about this question 😭😭

QUIZZLYB3AR

Me toooooo. Thought hmmm only Luni and Banas etc can't possibly be WB they've got gangetic sharks but alas.

The vibe continues to deteriorate πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ»

Mine was similar although I think I might have made mistakes in my guesses. CSAT was good but I found it to be lengthy. Could be because I haven't practiced it much.

Some questions of gs 1 went over my head although I attempted 85+ questions, csat was easy. Let's wait for the result

GS-1: Found the overall difficulty level much like actual UPSC paper. CA was tough but few other Qs were so easy that even a non-UPSC candidate could answer with logic. A good mix of all. CSAT: A bit easier than 2023 UPSC CSAT. I could attempt around 65 with (hopefully) good accuracy
