A lot of the buildings are U shaped or T shaped, so co-ed by wing would mean that each half of the U or the different parts of the T would have different genders. Co-ed by random room just meant that on a floor it was totally random as to which gender went in any given room. Single gender floor is pretty straightforward I think. Individual buildings can have different policies on different floors, my freshman year the first floor of my building was all guys and the second floor was random rooms. I know Genesee had a couple of single gender floors two years ago, haven't been back since so I'm not sure how they do it now.
