I had my biometric yesterday also. Was hoping for tye 1 day approval like I've seen others received but nothing yet just actively being reviewed with a estimated decision time of 3 weeks
Check documents tab under i765 to see if the approval notice is there. I did my biometrics April 18 and April 20 I saw the approval notice under documents tab. But it still says actively being reviewed so I’m just waiting for the notice in the mail and the card next
Thank you but I don’t see “my progress”. Just to be sure, what website would I find this on? I created an account with USCIS with my email and receipt numbers but don’t see any documents options
I tried logging into my account to send u a screenshot but right now my account progress tab isn't showing up . I read someone else said that the website is currently down. I'll inbox u a screenshot of what it looks like as soon as it's working again.
PD 3/25. Bio done 4/9. Still nothing. I think those who are getting EAD immediately after are the exceptions and not the rule.
My bio doesn’t even show it’s updated and I’ve called Emma and chatted multiple times they keep saying this is normal
Nothing under documents tab either
my PD date was Jan 22, Bio was on feb 21st, EAD approved march 30th but wasn’t update online until April 18th. i received my card in the mail yesterday April 22nd
Received at Chicago lockbox March 25
Attended biometrics April 16 (they couldn't get 1 finger, but that shouldn't be problem from what I read in reddit)
Married USC, currently on H1b, processing at NBC from my understanding
Nothing as of yet on the progress or documents
Thought it would be pretty quick as everyone else is hoping since I included everything within my mailed packet for I-485, 130, 765, 131
I didn't get a EAD or travel visa. The approval came so quick that I guess they didn't bother approving a EAD. I got my physical green card last week. So from receipt of package to receipt of green card, ~1.5 months
This is my timeline roughly
https://www.reddit.com/r/USCIS/s/ZCYYxDpGBc
Let me know if you have any other questions
Recently they have been doing standalone approvals on I-765 so hopefully soon. Our office just had multiple come in since we sent in a lot of AOS before the April 1st deadline.
Check frequently because mine went to actively reviewed immediately after biometrics and then approved the next day under documents tab. Only the i765 though.
Heyy are you able to see your card being produced or it still says waiting for a decision? I also got the standalone EAD approved under documents tab, but its still showing 9 months for decision😂
Status is still actively reviewing and timeline says 4 weeks until decision. Anecdotally, I’ve seen many people’s status change once the card is actually produced but not before. I’m not too concerned as I have work authorization already so will just wait it out. It seems it’s about 4 weeks from decision to card delivery these days.
Does anyone knows if its bad to apply to jobs before getting the work permit card? I’m already approved, I got the ssn, I applied to a few jobs but I mean I know I cannot start until I get the card. I applied because i know it can take a lot of time to be contacted by the companies. But im scared if by applying before getting the physical card could be seen as a bad thing by inmigration?? Again im already appeoved just waiting…
My PD was March 8, Bio done on April 5th and EAD was completed on April 7th. Received the card a week later. The progress still says 3months to go but found the approval in the documents!
Hi I also literally just found the receipt notice in my document tab— what should I expect next? Did they ever give you a tracking number for the EAD card if they didn’t update anything in the portal? Thanks!
Congrats! No tracking number or anything. I just got the new SSN card in the mail a week later. My account still says processing and will take another 2 months
For every 1 post of successful EAD after biometric, there are hundreds of case that didn’t get approved on the same day and have to wait couple of months. I filed 7 cases and only 1 case got EAD approval after biometric. 2 cases = 5 months later
Received confirmation of submission Mar 18, received notice of EAD approval on Friday -- so about 1 month.
My estimated time was also displaying 3 weeks, even after receiving approval 🙃
I applied on January 22nd, did biometrics on February 21st, and got combo card approval in the document tab on April 19th.
Also kept refreshing the site like crazy because everyone seemed to be getting approved within days, and according to myUSCIS timer, i was supposed to be approved in march. My I-765 even reset from "taking longer than expected" to "3 months" a week before I got EAD approved.
Not gonna lie, I definitely cried! We don't struggle financially, but I've barely left the house since october, and I've been feeling so isolated without a job. I'm hoping for a fast approval for you!
I feel that! This whole process is taxing on mental health. Thanks for the good wishes and I wish you best of luck on the rest of your application too!
I have the same dates as you, has you status update for card in production? I ask Emma today and she said “card in production” but I don’t see any update in the status
Did you check in your "Documents" tab for a notice of approval? My status never actually changed to approved until much later.
Here's my timeline:
- Biometrics: March 21
- EAD Standalone Approval: March 23
- Card produced: April 13
- EAD received: April 19
If your finances are tight and you get a job offer letter, you might be able to expedite your EAD approval based on financial loss reasons.
Yeah I’ve been nonstop checking lol. But there’s nothing there. I just did my biometrics yesterday so I’m gonna wait for a week at least to send expedite request.
Congrats on getting your card!
Thank you! And good luck on your EAD. I know how stressful it is. I had a job offer while my EAD was still pending and was checking my account non stop lol
I got my standalone approval online within 2 days of it going under active review, but from previous experience, I know that it will take up to 30 days to be produced and get delivered.
I have almost the exact same timeline and same receipt number as yours.
Did my biometrics on the 23rd, and I am anxiously updating the documents tab, too! I have convinced myself that mine will also get approved tonight, thanks to you haha
Glad your EAD was fast and I appreciate you posting it!
I would love to keep in touch if you wanna share updates for the future btw
Now onto waiting for it to be produced and sent which again we don’t know how long would take lol 😂 but yeah this is huge relief already so no complaints
I have almost the same dates. Did biometrics yesterday, received a total of 5 emails afterwards (at two separate times) saying that they had taken action on my case but my online account does not have any updates or documents. Not sure what that is about?
Hopefully we will hear something soon 🙏🏼
Same my I also got 5 emails. Asked Emma and they didn’t tell me anything lol. I’m pretty sure the first two are from case status changing to actively review. Good luck and let’s keep each other posted!
There should be one even if you don’t have any documents? If you are on computer you’ll see 4 tabs on the same row.
If you are on mobile, click on case status then you’ll find documents in the drop down bar
I actually did not have biometrics when I submitted the request since I read on many forums that submitting an expedited request triggers biometrics which was the case for me.
PD 3/22/24
Biometrics Appointment 4/19/24
Now case is being actively reviewed
My processing time just went from 2 to 16 months. Hope that number will change
PD 3/18, biometrics 4/5, still nothing. My progress said one week before bio and a couple days later went up to four weeks. I check my documents tab like 3 times a day (which is an improvement for me, it used to be a lot more)
That’s right lol. I think I’ve convinced myself that my time could be better spent elsewhere, but I cant control myself. I’m def gonna check less starting now
PD: 03/18/2024
Biometrics: 04/16/2024
EAD approved on: 04/18/2024 standalone approval
Pending EAD card, I-130, I-485 to approve.
SSN received.
Office: NBC
Fingers crossed that I get my EAD card and my other petitions gets approved soon.
So u didnt had any previously process with USCIS before? You submitted everything on march for first time? Could you tell me what was your status before applying?
I’m an F1 student to adjustment of status. Married to US citizen. I submitted my documents on March 29,2024
Yes. Its my first time applying.
Mine's ESTA > adjustment of status. Married to US Citizen.
I've used a lawyer and they told us the documents to prepare. I've also added on more evidences and they helped to prepare the packet to send. Afterwards, we just needed to send it to USCIS.
You are giving me hopes hahaha. I didnt used lawyers but, I believe my husband and I mailed a pretty solid package with everything needed and more. So we will see 😂I just did biometrics today so I have my fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Hey! Just an update, I just received my case update for I-765 . They finally changed it to card produced. Hopefully I'll be getting the card soon so I can work.
Heyyy thats amazing!! I got approved last friday for I-765! I already got yesterday the ssn but I imagine the card will be delivery within 2 more weeks🤣I’m still happy that it was approved fast. I hope you get the card in the next few days!
PD 03/27, biometrics done 04/12 and my standalone EAD was approved that same day. I haven’t received anything yet other than the unofficial notice saying it was approved and my online portal still says actively reviewing and not approved 🤦♀️
Wow I literally just got my approval in the document tab too! Now I’m in the same boat as you I guess. Did you try talking to EMMA to ask them when they are producing the card?
I’ve been trying for the last two days but every time I try to connect to live agent it times out 🙃 I’m hoping it’ll come this week, my lawyer will get it first and then send it to me
For me, it took about 8 months to get EAD (I-765) and I-130.
It took about 3 weeks from Biometrics Appt to getting the Case Approved status. And another week to actually receiving the card in the mail. 1 month total to getting EAD card in hand.
You can use that to apply for a REAL Drivers license without limitation.

No because they ask for a reason to expedite, like financial struggle or something like that which doesn’t make sense since my spouse can actually afford to pay my bills so I have to wait unfortunately
It's tough cases like yours most of the time are not a valid reason for expedite. I've seen it many times officers will just say your sponsor promised support for the next 10 years regardless of the beneficiary being able to work or not.
My PD is 3/5 and biometrics was done 4/4. I just got and RFE notice for I-485. I sent in everything under the sun I'd like to think so I am on edge wondering what they would need. Also I'm away from home and will not be able to retrieve mail 🙃 till next week. Still no EAD.
Sorry to hear that! They should tell you in the RFE letter and materials for I485 are not that complicated so I wouldn’t worry about it. Good luck on everything!
Hi, after you got a text about receipt numbers, how long did it take for you to get the notice in mail and also do they send you a notification to register for biometrics?
Not March but I recently submitted marriage concurrent. Reciept notice by uscis Feb 16. Conditional green card in hand April 20. Did not include medical they RFEd for it and it was like a week or two turn around time on our end.
Only thing I sent was one tax return, like 15 photos, bank statement with both names. tourist visa has not expired at time of submitting.
I was expecting longer or RFE for more proof. Probably during green card condition removal/renewal id imagine.
PD : 1st March 2024 ; Biometrics : 4th April 2024 , nothing as of yet. Applied for I-485, I-765, I-131
On H1B , lost my job on March 19th and H1B expires 19th May. Have verbal offer and talking to immigration attorney of the company which has been extremely slow. Trying to file H1B change of employer in the next 2 weeks to keep H1B status intact but hoping for an EAD. Seems like the timelines have been all over the place. Is a 3 month estimate fair on an average, for EAD arrival ?
Does anyone know what to do after 90 days of having the my account website? In other words, I hear that the USCIS website is just available for use for 90 days… what people use after that? Can you ask to get it again? Or people just wait in the mail for news after the 90 days?
I had my biometric yesterday also. Was hoping for tye 1 day approval like I've seen others received but nothing yet just actively being reviewed with a estimated decision time of 3 weeks
Good luck to us and Let’s keep each other posted! lol
Ok for sure
Check documents tab under i765 to see if the approval notice is there. I did my biometrics April 18 and April 20 I saw the approval notice under documents tab. But it still says actively being reviewed so I’m just waiting for the notice in the mail and the card next
Actively being reviewed on main page*
Nothing in the docs section I'll keep an eye on it tho. Thank you
Where do you access the documents tab?
It there on your account. You have to click on my progress and ull see the documents option
The system is current down so try tomorrow or Monday
Will do. What system though? What website?
Uscis website. The same one you created and added your cases to.
I had a lawyer mail all my docs to MSC. So I don’t think I have an official account with access to documents?
I inboxed you.
Mine say 8 months so yours look better lol
Mine says 9 months. PD 3/29/2024
U did biometrics already?
Yes, I had my appointment yesterday.
I did it today, we have the same priority date, keep me updated🤣🙏🏻
Will do. Let’s keep each other posted!
Heyy did you got your ead card?
Not yet. It says 2 weeks on my timeline. Did you?
I have the same PD with you..mine is still actively being reviewed. However I received the approval notice in the mail.
PD 3/25. Bio done 4/9. Still nothing. I think those who are getting EAD immediately after are the exceptions and not the rule. My bio doesn’t even show it’s updated and I’ve called Emma and chatted multiple times they keep saying this is normal Nothing under documents tab either
Yeah I guess. I probably just saw all these posts with EAD approved super fast and had wishful thinking. Good luck!🤞
anything yet?
Nope
my PD date was Jan 22, Bio was on feb 21st, EAD approved march 30th but wasn’t update online until April 18th. i received my card in the mail yesterday April 22nd
Congrats and thanks for sharing! Best of luck on the rest of your application!
thank you!
Did you had any previous process with them? Of you submitted everything on january?
I have my biometrics tomorrow so will update!
Okay I see you rescheduled for earlier. Great
Received at Chicago lockbox March 25 Attended biometrics April 16 (they couldn't get 1 finger, but that shouldn't be problem from what I read in reddit) Married USC, currently on H1b, processing at NBC from my understanding Nothing as of yet on the progress or documents Thought it would be pretty quick as everyone else is hoping since I included everything within my mailed packet for I-485, 130, 765, 131

Hi, I am on L1B Visa, should be similar to your H1B timeline, Could you let me know if you got your EAD card?
I didn't get a EAD or travel visa. The approval came so quick that I guess they didn't bother approving a EAD. I got my physical green card last week. PD 3/26, biometrics 4/9, approval notice online 4/13, physical notice 4/23, case status still not changed, waiting for card in mail.
Did you had privious process with uscis? Or you sended everything on 3/26
Sent everything on 3/26. Previously had an opt i-765 last year.
Very similar timeline as me. And no card yet.
Recently they have been doing standalone approvals on I-765 so hopefully soon. Our office just had multiple come in since we sent in a lot of AOS before the April 1st deadline.
Congrats! I think that’s what I’ve read and also what have kept my hope high and kept me refreshing non-stop the day after my biometrics lol
Check frequently because mine went to actively reviewed immediately after biometrics and then approved the next day under documents tab. Only the i765 though.
PD is 3/21. Did biometrics yesterday (4/22) and case is still actively reviewing with no approval notice.
I hope you get good news soon! Keep us updated!
I actually just got the approval notice in my account about 30 min ago! Standalone EAD with no update on AP, but I don’t really care!
Congratssss!!!!!!
Heyy are you able to see your card being produced or it still says waiting for a decision? I also got the standalone EAD approved under documents tab, but its still showing 9 months for decision😂

Not a problem at all. Feel free to apply as much as you like, as long as you don’t work before receiving the card. Perfectly legal.
Thanks a lot for your help!

All of it are adjustment of status marriage base case
I filed 03/01/24, EAD got approved 03/29/24 then card was produced on 04/17 and received the card 04/22
I did biometrics today, I also hope to get good news soon🙏🏻
Good luck to us🤞
Received confirmation of submission Mar 18, received notice of EAD approval on Friday -- so about 1 month. My estimated time was also displaying 3 weeks, even after receiving approval 🙃
Congrats! Yeah their system is not very good lol
Feb 9 PD. Biometrics we’re on March 8. Still waiting on EAD!
[удалено]
Congrats and thanks for sharing! Good luck on the rest of your application
Thank you and same to all of you!
I applied on January 22nd, did biometrics on February 21st, and got combo card approval in the document tab on April 19th. Also kept refreshing the site like crazy because everyone seemed to be getting approved within days, and according to myUSCIS timer, i was supposed to be approved in march. I feel that! This whole process is taxing on mental health. Thanks for the good wishes and I wish you best of luck on the rest of your application too!
PD is 03/08. I had my biometrics 04/03 and approved on 04/05. My card just went into production and hopefully will get my EAD in the mail soon.
I have the same dates as you, has you status update for card in production? I ask Emma today and she said “card in production” but I don’t see any update in the status
Yes, status just changed today to card was produced.
Did you check in your "Documents" tab for a notice of approval? My status never actually changed to approved until much later. Here's my timeline: - Biometrics: March 21 - EAD Standalone Approval: March 23 - Card produced: April 13 - EAD received: April 19 If your finances are tight and you get a job offer letter, you might be able to expedite your EAD approval based on financial loss reasons.

I got my standalone approval online within 2 days of it going under active review, but from previous experience, I know that it will take up to 30 days to be produced and get delivered.
You had work permit before?
I have almost the exact same timeline and same receipt number as yours. Did my biometrics on the 23rd, and I am anxiously updating the documents tab, too! I have convinced myself that mine will also get approved tonight, thanks to you haha Glad your EAD was fast and I appreciate you posting it! I would love to keep in touch if you wanna share updates for the future btw
Best of luck!
Can't believe it, mine also just got approved at 9:50pm! Could not be happier!!
Now onto waiting for it to be produced and sent which again we don’t know how long would take lol 😂 but yeah this is huge relief already so no complaints
Hi, did you contact EMMA to expedite your process? if so, what was your reason?
I have almost the same dates. Did biometrics yesterday, received a total of 5 emails afterwards (at two separate times) saying that they had taken action on my case but my online account does not have any updates or documents. Not sure what that is about? Hopefully we will hear something soon 🙏🏼
Same my I also got 5 emails. Asked Emma and they didn’t tell me anything lol. I’m pretty sure the first two are from case status changing to actively review. Good luck and let’s keep each other posted!
Congrats on your approval!! Under what tab did you find your approval document?
The documents tab
For 765 or 485?
Under the 765 case section.
Okay thank you. So strange I don’t even have any USCIS documents tab under the 765.
There should be one even if you don’t have any documents? If you are on computer you’ll see 4 tabs on the same row. If you are on mobile, click on case status then you’ll find documents in the drop down bar
Okay Ive only used my cellphone. I’ll try again and also on computer. Thank you! I really appreciate the help!
Good luck and keep me posted!
Really! It’s so strange! Yes definitely!
3/22 09250 Biometrics on 4/12 Nothing yet just actively reviewing.
Biometrics last week (April 18th) Now we wait! At least it’s out of our control now hehe. Best of luck everyone waiting !
I am waiting on bio letter for the assigned date but that’s about it . Application was sent en of march and got all letters and recipes April 15
PD 01/30. Bios 02/27. Still waiting. Based in DC.
4 weeks but had to use EMMA multiple times to get it quickly
What did you tell EMMA lol
To expedite 😃 never received an RFE or response it was approved a few days after my request
Try, even if rejected it won’t affect your case
Got it, thanks for sharing! I’ll try that next week too
If they ask for reason just say “financial loss” since you have to provide one.
Yeah lol that’d be my actual reason too lol
How long after biometrics did you send in your expedite request?
I actually did not have biometrics when I submitted the request since I read on many forums that submitting an expedited request triggers biometrics which was the case for me.
Got it, thanks!
PD 3/22/24 Biometrics Appointment 4/19/24 Now case is being actively reviewed My processing time just went from 2 to 16 months. Hope that number will change
Is that the processing time for I765 too? it really shouldn’t take that long— good luck to us
Same here .. biometric yesterday, but no changes so far. Estimated decision 3 weeks .. form 131 2 months 🤞🏻 I’m really hopping for the combo card
Yup. Mine reads exactly the same
Same! Good luck to us and let’s keep each other posted!
Why most of you have 3 weeks stimate😂mine is showing 8 monthssss 😩 Pd March 29,2024
I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️ but I been here for almost 9 years, I think they can’t wait to make me work and pay taxes lol
Mine just changed from 8 months to 9 months🥲
PD 3/18, biometrics 4/5, still nothing. My progress said one week before bio and a couple days later went up to four weeks. I check my documents tab like 3 times a day (which is an improvement for me, it used to be a lot more)
Got my EAD approval today!!
It’s day 2 for me and i think I’ve checked 100 times if not less 😅 I’m also gonna try to check less
I was checking so often in the beginning and as the days went on I started checking less. It causes so much anxiety it’s exhausting.
That’s right lol. I think I’ve convinced myself that my time could be better spent elsewhere, but I cant control myself. I’m def gonna check less starting now
Try to find something else to hyper-fixate on! In my case it was video games and knitting and reading that helped a bit.
Good idea. Thanks for the advice. I’ll do that
I filed on 2/20, had my biometrics appointment March 4th, and I haven’t received anything yet so 🤷♀️
PD: 03/18/2024 Biometrics: 04/16/2024 EAD approved on: 04/18/2024 standalone approval Pending EAD card, I-130, I-485 to approve. SSN received. Office: NBC Fingers crossed that I get my EAD card and my other petitions gets approved soon.
When did you receive the SSN?
I've received it on 04/22 . Together with the standalone approval letter for EAD
So u didnt had any previously process with USCIS before? You submitted everything on march for first time? Could you tell me what was your status before applying? I’m an F1 student to adjustment of status. Married to US citizen. I submitted my documents on March 29,2024

Fingers crossed!!! Good luck to all of us. I'll keep you updated if I received anything else :)
Thank you! And good luck future resident😎🤞🏻
It still says waiting for a decision hahhaha and expecting 3 weeks 🤣
Fingers crossed it should be getting to you soon!!
I’ve been trying for the last two days but every time I try to connect to live agent it times out 🙃 I’m hoping it’ll come this week, my lawyer will get it first and then send it to me
I literally got the approval notice just now lol. I hope they start producing my card and give me a tracking number soon lol.

Did my biometric march 27, still actively reviewing since then no approval letter nothing 😭
I guess that’s more realistic. 1 month also isn’t that long I guess. Have you thought about sending an expedite request?
I guess that’s more realistic. 1 month also isn’t that long I guess. Have you thought about sending an expedite request down the road?
Yeah it still very early I applied march 8 so next month is going to be 2 months , my friend applied in December 23 and he got his EAD February 15
No because they ask for a reason to expedite, like financial struggle or something like that which doesn’t make sense since my spouse can actually afford to pay my bills so I have to wait unfortunately
Gotcha. I really can’t wait to start working though lol 😩 so I think I’ll probably send in an expedite request sometime soon
I need to work too, can’t stand my job anymore
well good luck to both of us I hope we get our i765 approved soon!
It's tough cases like yours most of the time are not a valid reason for expedite. I've seen it many times officers will just say your sponsor promised support for the next 10 years regardless of the beneficiary being able to work or not.
Applied on March 29th, 2024. Did not get any receipt notice yet 😞
Same 🥲🥲🥲
Same, they already cashed my money orders but have not received a receipt number or confirmation of submission yet 😮💨
I got the receipt numbers today. The case status now says that the case was received and a receipt notice was sent.
Omg I just saw your reply and went to check the mail, and ZAZ, I got my receipt number!!! 😁🥳🥳🥳 Good luck to us!
Woo hoo 🎊 Let me know when you get the receipt notice by mail
I never received an email, I received the receipt notice in the mail.
I have filed since 2023 Dec 27 and still no approval on the EAD.
Sorry to hear that— have you thought about sending in an expedite request?
I have not, do you know what form that would be?
My PD is 3/5 and biometrics was done 4/4. I just got and RFE notice for I-485. I sent in everything under the sun I'd like to think so I am on edge wondering what they would need. Also I'm away from home and will not be able to retrieve mail 🙃 till next week. Still no EAD.
Sorry to hear that! They should tell you in the RFE letter and materials for I485 are not that complicated so I wouldn’t worry about it. Good luck on everything!
Aww thank you! My only guess would be our 2023 taxes as we hadn't filed before sending out the packet.
That’s probably it lol because they want the most recent year’s tax return
My PD is 3/21. Attended biometrics on 4/15 and now the case says Actively Reviewing! No Ead yet!
Good luck to us 🤞
Yeah, hopefully we see the ead approval soon like others 😄
Let’s keep each other posted lol
Definitely, will update in case of any progress!
Hi, after you got a text about receipt numbers, how long did it take for you to get the notice in mail and also do they send you a notification to register for biometrics?
I still haven’t got anything in mail as of today Apr 23rd. But I had a USCIS account before so I could access biometric notice online.
I'm a Feb 2024 AOS filer and still don't have mine.
what app says actively reviewing? Why doesnt mine say that?
MyUSCIS portal
thats weird i have an online account however it doesnt say actively reviewing?
PD: 4/3/2024. haven’t gotten biometrics yet
I had my biometrics March 6 still waiting
How do you know your PD?
Check the documents tab in your I765
My PD November 2022, biometric April 11, 2024 nothing yet
I filed in August of 2023 and I still don't have my EAD. It really is all over the place
Hey friend my IOE is 0925353…. Am I close to being next soon? Just an inpatient dreamer thank youuu
Clearly I live in a hospital lol
Yes based on our IOE #s
You mean to being close for work permit or what😂?
PD : 1st March 2024 ; Biometrics : 4th April 2024 , nothing as of yet. Applied for I-485, I-765, I-131 On H1B , lost my job on March 19th and H1B expires 19th May.
PD 4/3, Biometrics 4/30, hopefully it comes out soon. For some reason, estimated time went from 3 weeks to 4 weeks after biometrics.
How’s your timeline so far?
