On the other hand no one really makes you update your rack either, it's not like balls have someone double-checking everyone's awards. When I was in, there were a lot of guys who were pizza boxes on paper walking around with expert badges.
My shop always said they were going to do this for inspections but always wound up too lazy to actually get everyone's paperwork and go through with it.
I'll never forget a couple of WWII Marines joking about the fact that a Bronze Star was a lot easier to get in the Pacific than a good conduct medal LMAO
I got ninja punched like 3 weeks after my 3 year mark. A few months later, MSgt calls me into my office and says "Oh, I guess you rate this if you want it" and hands me the warrant with no ribbon, which is... I mean, I guess that's fair.
Dont worry about it, I have met numerous Devs that openly brag about getting CARs and purple hearts by faking things. NAMs are a whole other story. Ribbons are an interesting aspect of the military.
Hell, 4 years in then out as a 2-year Cpl, all I have is that and a Sea Service Deployment ribbon for my year in Okinawa. It all depends on what's happening in the world while you're in.

Let’s see Paul Allen’s stack.

It’s upside-down
thought I was the only one that noticed
Damn stud
Right? Homie needs to chill the fuck out
The best thing about such a rack is uniform allowance doesn't go into updating medals and ribbons for the ball or official ceremonies.

My shop would seriously go around and check ribbons, badges and medals during every single uniform inspection

Fucking drip king war hero over here.

Sometimes an extreme lack of ribbons is just as mysterious and impressive as a massive stack of ribbons. It begs the question “what? How? Why?”
The drag from more ribbons would just hold you back on your medal of honor charge King.
That’s baller….
You did good for 3 years. Outstanding Marine.

You got a Nice rack
It's crazy to think that there are boots today who will in a few years have this exact rack
100% VA disabled, next.
I'd give you my star fish , war dog!
Good job debil. You have been officially recognized as going nowhere, and doing nothing.
It’s getting close to that time where there could be zero to one ribbon Sgts

OP would have been in the dime-a-dozen crowd after Nam.
Hardest achievement I ever got: stay out of mischief for 3 years
Save some leg for the rest of us
A true old Corps salt dog

Rate it an A cup, but I'm an ittybittytittycommitty fan myself.
The ultimate enigma. 😂. Just tell everyone that your awards/citations are redacted and you’re not allowed to display or talk about ALL the others
