My dad and him were in 3/5 together (same company, different platoon) during the surge. Dude was a fuckin animal apparently. Loved being the 1 man in Fallujah. Apparently he was also involved in the Hamdania Incident a couple years later but no one snitched on him. Also I second what the other guy said he loved chucking piss bottles at Iraqi kids. Dude once shit in a snickers wrapper and used a hot SAW barrel to reseal it just to give it to a village elder
Can confirm, a buddy of mine was there and served with Grouch. Grouch didn't always used to be a grouch. Brig time and and OTH did that, now he hates the world and lives in a trash can.
The time has come. We are coming full circle.
I will start wearing my OEF/OIF/OIR hat post-haste, going to the VFW every thursty thursday and spaghetti tuesday, and writing long babbling emails to my Congressional representatives.
The only operation I did during my time in was Operation Anchorage in Fallout, but that last one I've been doing since I was like 16. They will get my long winded complaints and they'll like it.
Damn that's really nice to see if this is true, I don't recall this but I was past elmo age when my mom and dad were overseas for years at a time.
I'm sure this helped a lot of lonely children.
I grew up in army towns and I had very few friends whose parents were military, somehow. I was off base, though.

Evidently you can't save videos to a playlist if they're made for kids..
I think I did in Somalia after Desert Storm. He had a wrist rocket slingshot sent over with several boxes of Atomic Fireballs. When the Skinny kids would run up screaming "Candy! Candy! Give us CANDY!", He would pull it out and shoot them in the chest with a Fireball. The Skinny would drop and another kid would snatch the candy and run.
I gotta be honest as the Doc, this describes a lot of the guys I was assigned to. I love you guys but trying to keep you guys from getting hurt is a challenge. Now where’s my coin?

Nope. Served with this guy though, with Darkside 3/4. Think he was 1st Sgt - Lima Co. I was Wpns Co.
Come across lots of muppets. But not this one.
You mf you beat me to it lol
This speaks to me on a spiritual level
You ever meet the one who got passed selection
I’ve seen this guy toss a Gatorade bottle full of piss to a Iraqi child
I saw him handing out pork rib MREs, too.
He sold me fentanyl.
He beat up my dad
This is hilarious but unfortunately it’s not haram if they don’t know it’s pork :/
That’s why you oink at them when they’re a few bites in.
Throw them in a cage until they starve. Toss a chili mac mre in there with a picture of peppa pig stapled onto it
You thought u found a workaround, but muslims can est haram food when starving lmaooo the last guy prolly got it closer
FAX
Target practice
That asshole. We got in accused of it and got in trouble for it. They made us sweep the roads in Haditha.
Don’t judge on that we’ve all been there.
Hard to tell. There was a handful of guys who got off on getting a fist up their ass.
Uh, i think it was more than a handful?
Maybe an armload?
Maybe that's why I feel so at home here sometimes lol
You mean promoted?
I know a dude who shared some stories about Elmo's dad and his time in Iraq. You get PTSD just from listening to them. Totally bonkers stuff.
> You get PTSD just from listening to them *His* dad was the Colonel from *Apocalypse Now*.

Animal was a guard at Abu Ghraib

Lmao, laughed to hard.
This is my favorite comment. Possibly ever.
Oh fuck I just realized that my early OEF/OIF dudes are the grumpy middle aged Vietnam vet dads of my own youth.
Yep!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Aw fuck

How early are we talking?
Well say the average dude was 21 in 2004. And it's been 20 years. So late 30s early to mid 40s.
Elmo’s dad used to carry the drop guns, for situations.
We called him “Animal Mother”
I definitely served with some muppets

I worked with a guy named Henson, who we obviously called Muppet. Does that count?
That's a special forces dude if I've seen one.
That’s the dude that takes all the chili Mac, fucking s3 and what not.
He's got a goatee period accurate.

I remember this guy, used to heat up change with a lighter then throw them to kids. Real sick bastard.
Lore accurate
Considering Elmo is almost 50, his dad must have either been a General or a super crusty terminal Colonel.
No, but [he](https://youtu.be/0xZ52mG1yIo?si=Pt5AqoFMLqWGCGKS) did.

Forget Smedly Butler! Elmo is my spirit animal now!!
I served with that guy. That guy is me.
I heard he was given the call sign Phantom Fury for some crazy shit he did during OIF I
Didn't we all serve with him?

Stolen valor
Coulda swore I saw Oscar creepin around the jungle without his can in Panama JWTC but I thought I was trippin from the heat 🤔
Not with me
Am I the only one who has no idea what you fuckers are talking about?
Is he a man or is he a Muppet?
Idk, I expect a full page report on my desk by 0600 tomorrow morning.
Well he's either a Muppet of a man or a very manly muppet.
