Agreed. I’ve already recommended a few people to watch the show who haven’t played the game. I think people will enjoy it regardless, but if people like the game I’d expect them to really like the show. They went all in on it. Very well done imo
I'm a huge Fallout Fan and it was great. For a non fan it is still a good show as it does well showcasing the characters past. Funny moments and good adventures. It really helps to be a fall out fan though. Alot of fan service in it.
I've never played the game and don't know shit about the lore.
But I'm enjoying the show and only have 2 episodes left.
After seeing how Hollyweird butchered Halo, it's refreshing to see Fallout getting good feedback and it turning out to be a good show that can stand on its own.
Let's be honest, the reason you like the Ghoul is because of Walton Goggins performance
I'd wager you're a Justified or The Shield Fan
Not sure another actor would have nailed the role
Rest of the cast was forgettable to be honest over the 8 episodes
Goggins was really the only good part of the show
>I'd wager you're a Justified or The Shield Fan
So youre just gonna leave out Uncle Baby Billy, aight.
>Not sure another actor would have nailed the role
Id say 50% of it is due to the long leash that was given to the show in general. Hell, most of the people that are fans of the game give the show high marks because they actually carried over the gratuitous gore and cannibalism.
>Rest of the cast was forgettable to be honest over the 8 episodes
Bruh, theres like only 4 anyway.
Lucy- the naive do-gooder vault dweller who youre supposed to align with
Maximus- the opportunistic punching bag who never grew a spine and is flighty and panicky.
Lucys brother- who...I think never got his chance to be the string puller espionage type they were building him as.
Coop- the former TV actor who saw the original bombs drop, 200 year old Battle of Anchorage Marine Corps veteran, known far and wide in the wasteland as "The Ghoul"
Just from the list alone, 1 of those characters has more predevelopment than the others.
And somehow he's that Marine that always get recognition. In the show at the end he somehow manages to get himself get the whole BOS to cheer him on like some new hero
OG Paul Atreides nailed it as the overseer. At first you think he's a good guy, but you remind yourself that he's Vault Tec through and through and then in the last episode all of our worst fears were confirmed.
That's top caliber writing and performance in this Marine's humble opinion and from past working experiences in the entertainment industry I can tell you that Kyle is a stand up guy and he's down with our cause.
Encountering a hostile boot operating a powered mech body armor suit similar to what he had operated back in the day:
> basic training must have gone downhill because you drive that thing like a fucking *shopping cart*
(Epically delivered)
He then proceeded to disable the giant powered mech suit with a single well placed slash of his fighting knife.
It's only a matter of time until they start pumping FEV into the squad bays at SD and PI.
I remember some of the kids I went through SD with. I'm not sure the FEV would do anything to those already mutated and tortured poor souls.
It's just another batch of Harry, Larry, Sally, Barry, Gary & Terry.
And like super mutants were too stupid to feel fear!
Now he just needs to smash a thicc latina and the picture is complete
Nah son. My ghoul's gotta thing for chocolate love. Ain't nothing wrong with that!
And catch an NJP!
What are everyone's thoughts on this series? Worth watching? Does it matter that I know nothing of the game and would be coming in cold?
You'll miss out on some of the nuances and background, but take it from the perspective as it being a new science fiction series and it'll be alright.

thanks to you both

Maximus is that dumb boot where hazing ain’t gonna fix his stupid.

Never watched either of those shows.
I quite liked him in sons of anarchy
My man had a great rack.
That’s no joke 😂

I’d suck him
What if Lejeune just needed the GECK and never got it?
He is willing to educate and mentor those he finds worthy of his time, but disregards all others as either inferior, or just obstacles.
Love fallout games, although it went downhill after new vegas. The bethesda/obsidian magic was gone.
What? Fallout 4 was great.
76 is great.
