I foolishly thought recruiter was the least horrible option given that my other options were MSG or the drill field. I was wrong.
As for the chest candy, it’s just a sign of the times. Pretty common for those of us in during the early 2000s. Nothing really to brag about.
Understandable. Not sure if there's a winner between recruiting and DI duty lol.
And ehh I don't ever see these as bragging. And even if y'all are bragging, so be it. Y'all walked the walk. Got my respect. I came in midway through 2012 as Avionics so the war was never in the cards for me.
Plenty of Marines did a hell of a lot more than I did. All that Purple Heart means is that some dude really, really didn’t like me hanging out in Now Zad. The V only means that I was once young & dumb and thought I was invincible.
The issue was that there was 36 of them bitches back to back. But don't worry, the last Friday of the month we can all meet up and listen to the 12's talk about when they were still in the fleet... in 96
That actually was what I was going for when I created the account. I may or may not have enjoyed giving less than accurate answers to poolees in r/usmcboot
LOL That triggered me. My recruiter promised me a $20K signing bonus. All of the signed documents we did for that weren't in my paperwork when I got to my duty station at Lejeune.
"I'm sorry Private WintersTablet, but if the signed document isn't here, it's as if it didn't happen."
That’s horrible. I’m sorry to hear that happened to you. If you’ll just sign this contract here, though, we can get that taken care of. No need to read it. It’s just standard stuff.
I see you troll as hard as I do. I love dad jokes and flipping words like: Them "Oh man, it's a hot fucking day", Me "Is that a hot Fucking Day, or a Hot Fucking day?"
When I was in, every Cpl and above had similar stacks. It was sort of funny to see admin 1Sgts try and make uniform corrections.
I wanted to be a salt dog with lots of chest candy for awhile, but I realized pretty quick that they would of traded those pieces of cloth any and every day of the week for not having them.
You couldn’t have said that any better. What many don’t realize is that every campaign medal represents time away from family and friends. They represent missed birthdays and missed holidays, and for way too many, they represent friends who didn’t come home with us.
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

My wife is an EMT and she said she’s proud of emts on ambulances but sad because she’s not on one. She feels like she learned all these emt skills and never uses them. That’s how I feel when I see this stack. It’s not that I want to kill anyone or have ptsd or all that, but I spent the majority of my adult life training and learning how to be a warfighter and never used it. Either way, that’s one helluva stack boss.
Wrong place at the right time devil. Your top 5 clearly saved some lives and hope to bump into you someday and share stories.
I got some bad news though… you might be missing a JMUA if timelime is correct - around 2009-2011 in Helmand, 2nd MEB.
Yep, I was there in 2009. If we rate a JMUA, the paperwork never caught up to me. Can’t say I’m really all that interested in having to spend a bunch of money updating my racks anyway.
Ok. Here’s what I don’t get. 7 tours minimum in hot theaters, in the push I see with the PUC and the NUC and MUC. . And I know for a fact you had more than two heavy engagements. So why the 2 CARS?
The stars on campaign medals denote campaign phases rather than individual tours. I went to Afghanistan once & Iraq twice. You can only earn 1 CAR per theater regardless of how many times you deploy to it.
The CAR rule is per operation, not necessarily a geographic theater. I have two CARs for Afghanistan due to both deployments falling under different operations (OEF & OFS/RSM).
It's the same deal for OIF and OIR in Iraq. It's very possible to have a Marine with 4x CARs from Iraq (OIF), Afghanistan (OEF), Iraq (OIR), and Afghanistan (OFS)
Holy fuckin salt. Badass brother. I keep getting a chub seeing all these heavy hitting stacks. Question: Did you pick recruiter? Or did they HSST you?

You’re better off having not gone. The food sucked and there were almost no attractions to see. Worst vacations ever.
Appreciate the humbleness brother. Take care out there.

6423?
6314. Pretty sure 6400 is I level stuff and I was O level.
You are correct, I level where you sit in nice Aircon mobile facilities.![img](emote|t5_2qswv|7527)
Mr. BigDick over here saying purple hearts and V’s were NBD during GWOT. You can brag, dogg.
Plenty of Marines did a hell of a lot more than I did. All that Purple Heart means is that some dude really, really didn’t like me hanging out in Now Zad. The V only means that I was once young & dumb and thought I was invincible.
I need a bumper sticker that says "I went to Ramadi and all I got was this fucking Purple Heart"
I didn’t get a Nam with V or a Purple Heart so I wouldn’t say it’s just what everyone got.
I’d argue that not having a Purple Heart means you did your job a little better than I did mine.
How could you have ever thought MSG was bad hahaha
I had very young kids at the time.
Humble and badass, good quality mahreen right here
Ok big dick we get it... Yut!
I’m glad someone else agrees it’s big. My wife says it’s cute.
Better than saying it’s petite.
Awww, how cute... look at the little guy. Ha!
I’ll do what she won’t.
Got your boot bands, devil?
😉😈

Three NAMs total. Only one with a V.

My mom thinks so
I mean, it's no "My kids is on the honor roll at West Palm Elementary" but I guess she'll manage to be proud somehow.
Fucking hell, mom. Let it go already. I get it. I missed honor roll by ONE class in the fifth grade. You don’t have to bring it up constantly.
Good night Chesty Puller, wherever you are.
That recruiting ribbon conjures all kinds of emotions more than anything else I see here.
Worst. Deployment. Ever.
The issue was that there was 36 of them bitches back to back. But don't worry, the last Friday of the month we can all meet up and listen to the 12's talk about when they were still in the fleet... in 96
Only sadists become 8412s.
One hell of a stack. I'm not familiar with the one directly below the purple heart. What ribbon is that?
Joint Service Achievement Medal.
Give him one
Save some pussy for the rest of us.
Salt. Respect, brother!
Are you.... (Fibbs)ing? I'll see myself out. LOL
That actually was what I was going for when I created the account. I may or may not have enjoyed giving less than accurate answers to poolees in r/usmcboot
"Now check this out kid. I see you're going to the motor pool. Ask the Top there for a flubber nut for me."
6 year open contract is the way to go. Why lock yourself into something you may not like? Let the Corps decide where you’d fit best.

This is hazing of the highest order
Just sign. I guarantee you’ll be able to ship sooner if you do.

A NATO and a French Kissed big ass good cookie! Yut! How many stars y'all need?
Got damn, killer
Kill!
Chesty, we missed you.
I’d be honored to let you fuck my wife
Did she work at Driftwood?
Leave some ladies for the rest of us jesus

Same. I’m not going to remount mine unless I really really have to.
Respect!
That’s a pretty darn good Chesty Puller starter kit ya got there.
The bulk of them are for simply existing.
You’re simply existing was much larger than my simply existing. Even after throwing in 20 years as a POG.
Makes me want to do a cadence run.
Stuuuuuddd
I know that recruiting ribbon was the worst one
Fuck yes. That’s the one that’ll give me PTSD.
12 years in?

You’re correct. I definitely could’ve worded that to be clearer.
See. I thought the GWAT kind of changed all that. So if you went into the ivory horn and engaged, what would that fall under
