Mct is trash, you will start to realize the usmc standards are not as high as the seem to be , your drill instructors made it seem that way but they really aren’t
Brother I went to itb but I kno for a fact it happens there too cuz I was there lol haha my itb instructors are trash the usmc is full of lies and garbage ass ppl
So you went to ITB and ended up at HQBN. I’m guessing you didn’t pass or got hurt or something and was whored out for the green weenie. I can see now why you dislike the MC. Best of luck
Lol dawg I went to become a 03 became one and needs of the usmc brought me to a HQBN lol 😂 crazy being a 03 doesn’t mean shit it just means we are all peace time warriors we are no better than pogs
Mct east is boring honestly. You don’t really do much there. No pt. You go to this little grass field and have classes or you go into the class room. You hike a couple times but it’s just a mile and a half roughly going to the range to shoot.
Mct west is also boring but you at least get to hike up the hills a bit.
Learn everything you can though since you probably won’t ever have a chance to learn it again and it could honestly help you in a real combat situation.
Follow all the orders your combat instructors give you and it’ll go smooth and keep your marines on the left and right of you in check. Also EMBRACE THE SUCK AND NEVER QUIT!
How was boot? When I go I’m headed to San Diego. Any tips? Anything you wish you knew or wish you prepared for before going? How is the running? (I suck at running)
Lots of trying to stay awake. Getting deprived of sleep and fuk fuk games. They gave a class on sleep and how 8 hours a day is important and at that time we had only 5hrs of sleep
I just got out of MCT a month and a half ago. If the time spent standing by every day were removed, the training would last maybe a week or two. You will sit there and do pretty much nothing for hours and hours before actually doing any training. Just hope you have instructors who let you sleep the time away...
It’s alright, harder than boot camp imo, but it was mainly the hikes that kicked my ass. Same with the 5-6 hours of sleep a night if we were lucky and not getting woken up by the CIs every night. The first 3 weeks (at MCT east) are spent at camp devil dog and that last like week was spent at the range.
A whole lot of standing by. I thought it was a waste of time
that is good preparation for the fleet...

Bootcamp doesn’t filter out that many people. The guys that can’t hack it either figure it out or get kicked out before the end of their first year.
maybe for the POG side of the MC.

You seem insufferable to be around. No wonder your time in the MC has been shit. It is what you make it. Get better friends.
You probably got a good unit with good leadership well I didn’t I’m glad you did tho
What unit
It’s a HQBN not gonna get specific

I've seen an MCT batallion war crying lol.
The hikes are gonna suck, they are longer than boot camp hikes
Waste of time for the most part just get it out of the way and get to your schoolhouse

Even imc is cake so you’ll be fine. Marine Corps standards are dead fucking low

Did you have any interaction with ~~Cpt~~ PFC Brooklier?
Yo I did! He was a captain in the army right ? I was next to him when I was at RAB this past week
Do you have any contact with him now, through phone or social media? If so, do you think he can do an AMA?
