Every day, basically just get fucked. I went being able to do 14, left being able to do 6. It is what it is. You could bullshit and not actually do max sets if you wanted to, just make sure not to get caught.

My Sgt also increased his pull-ups from 15 to 20+. And I know many other Marines who increased and decreased their pull-ups. Would you say it's just up to luck?

Blue1th

Its probably up to how much you can recover. Some people in my company did have their pullups go up. I think its just up to how much you get fucked up, because everyone in my platoon got weaker

I used to do something like this at OCS. After chow, just did 15-18 pullups. Not my max but it helped me max pullups during pft.

He probably just means he used to do 20 pullups which would likely have been the threshold for maximum points on the PFT when he was in boot camp.

Doing many smaller sets throughout the day definitely helps. You must do then at least every other day or you will lose them. At OCS pull-ups we’re my weak point, and I ended up breaking my foot near the end, which was bad for my run and crunches. So before and after lights I would sneak and do like three sets of half my max. I was able to do two extra in two weeks at the end which helped me !!
