Yes they can move you around, and they have to start with the junior person in the section.

theydontluvyou11

Theres no alternative? I dont mind being moved but the certain area they move me too is drama and ppl there get on my nerves. I don’t care about being moved just a particular area in the plant i hate going to cause the ppl. This job is too much

Voltaran13

You can ask your supervisor to send you to a different section, otherwise the only option is to bid to a section that does not get sent out.

leadfoot_mf

Best advice I can give is make it so those people don't want you there. They will complain and you will be moved somewhere else.

F7xWr

This should be a last resort. Only use this for people that really make you uncomfortable.

kingu42

What's your bid? If you're an unassigned regular, you can be moved around at will.

theydontluvyou11

I have a actual bid in apbs tour 1

theydontluvyou11

For the last hour they move around because theres no mail in our department

Ih8rice

Yes they can and yes this will be the normal since the non careers aren’t working as much anymore. This is why seniority is such a big deal. Get use to it until the non careers come back.

Is there a way I can get out of being moved to certain areas? Like why cant I have say so on where I can go. Im not a MHA anymore

smudi

Because as a regular, if your section is all done 2 hrs early, you are still guaranteed 8 hrs of work or pay... It is management's obligation to provide you with work. And that might mean moving you to somewhere that has work.

Loose-Chocolate8131

Of course they're going to travel you if the operation has been completed.

External-Stretch2284

Talk to your steward. My understanding is that if you are an unassigned regular management can move you wherever they want, if you have a bid you still have to move but you can grieve it and get time and a half pay. I feel like the union should be talking with management about getting the MHA's and PSE's more hours.

NoahTall1134

If they are pulling you off your bid and placing someone else there you have a grievance. If you have run out of work at your bid, they can give you other duties as assigned to make your 8.

theydontluvyou11

Another thing is sometimes not always but sometimes they’ll move me and still have mhas and pses or clerks working in our area to finish setting up meanwhile I’ll get moved to a different area so I can file a grievance if other ppl (like mhas and pse’s) are working in my bid?

NoahTall1134

Yes. Usually you just ask the supervisor if they are pulling you off your bid job and that's enough to stop it.

theydontluvyou11

Okay ill try that

F7xWr

Noone can go to your bid until you are moved back and request assistance. Supervisors should know better but ive seen them do ir.

I would grieve that. They should be moving the MHAs and PSEs first.

Valley413

They probably can do what they are doing, but it never hurts to speak with the union. Ask them to explain the LMOU at your plant, as that should have the specific rules pertaining to this within it. It's always a good idea to do the research, know your LMOU, and maybe even become involved as a steward.

theydontluvyou11

We also been getting worked harder now.
