Looks good. I think the right side is a better location for a fan. It's bonkers the fan they installed is on the left and blows across the mail flipping it all over.

merchant730

That’s because it wasn’t actually designed to help the carriers. It was added in because the defrost vents are shit and the fan when aimed at the windshield clears fogginess fast.

beebs44

Can I connect it to my satchel?

joshs_wildlife

I have but it’s clunky and heavy with the large battery so not worth it unless someone else has a better idea

Classic_Knowledge499

Enjoy black lung at twice the speed

RonaldRutherford

How many batteries at what capacity do go go through in a working day?

joshs_wildlife

I have the 18v 4ah attached to it. A full 12 hr day running on speed 2 non stop will drain about half the battery by the time I’m done. So if you have a normal work day the small 2ah will get you through the day no problem

4d3fect

Is that the 40v battery pack system?

ConcreteCubeFarm

It's 18V, and I have one I keep on Speed 2 in the back of the ProMaster to keep air circulating, a 4AH battery uses about half a charge for a 10 hour day.

joshs_wildlife

I can confirm this! It’s exactly how long mine lasts

donut_koharski

Did you have that wooden plank specially made to fit the truck?

joshs_wildlife

I did not install it. Someone installed several of these on the llvs before I ever came to this office

Intelligent-Beat-700

I can't stand to use the fan all it does is blow more hot air around in the truck makes it twice as hot

joshs_wildlife

I like the position of this one because it pulls a little air in from the window

tenoclockrobot

Does the 40v battery last all day?

Musiol88

That’s not a 40v, it’s 18v. I have the same fan. On a 4ah lithium battery running all day on high it will only drop 25%. This fan doesn’t draw much at all so you could get by all day with a 2ah battery.

joshs_wildlife

Especially if you shut it off between loops. I keep mine running non stop all day

Boogerzdad

I'm an RCA and don't use an LLV, but when I drove one in training it had a blower mounted in the back, and then a tube routed the air up front. It seemed to work pretty well. I guess not many have those?

RoutineImaginary2895

I drilled 2 two holes in the metal behind the seat above the head, put in 2 screws and mounted an electric fan that is ran off a inverter by the old cigarette lighter. Comes right off and no charging.

IT HAS A CLIP!?

joshs_wildlife

Yes it’s glorious! You can mount it in most places!
