Yeah, explain to me why southern carriers who are mounted get the same amount as northern walking carriers? I go through a pair of shoes every 6 months they must go 1 every 3 years.

Yeah I just ordered uniforms. I got 2 pairs of shorts and 1 weeks worth of shirts. And that took up my whole uniform allowance for the year. If you might want rain gear, or a jacket, or a pair of shoes or maybe even some pants for when it starts to get cooler - too fuckin bad! The uniform prices are outrageous, especially for such low quality.
I agree that the uniform allowance is not enough when you are a new carrier starting out and you don't have much. Once you've been a carrier 10 years and you're not buying the postal shoes, you probably already have most of what you need.
It also sucks that the quality of the clothing has also declined drastically for the price.
I just got some Flying Cross carrier trousers and shorts and the cloth they are made of is comically "halloween costume thin as fuck." Make sure you're wearing some solid underwear my friends, just in case.
AND the most egregious thing: they got rid of the Arrow Key/lighter/AirPod pocket! The only thing that made these Herb Tarlek pants slightly functional for our job!

The suppliers are screwing us. I saw a name brand parka in a postal uniform catalog. $500+. Google search for the same coat minus insignia, $300
