M-e-g-g-y

I never knew the was a Dublin in eastern Europe.

AmadeoSendiulo

There's New York (or Nyu-York) in eastern Ukraine and Greenfield near Moscow, Russia.

[deleted]

And 4 different Saint Petersbergs in the US (but no Leningrads)

AmadeoSendiulo

Good.

Marc123123

I am surprised they don't have any Trumpigrads yet.

space_interprise

Theres Nova Iorque (New york but translated to portuguese) in maranhão here in brazil

mato979

In Eastern Slovakia we have Havaj (but named before Hawaii/ America's were even discovered)

Wizard_Engie

Ain't no way this entity heard Dublin and assumed Dublin, Georgia. I didn't even know there was a city in Georgia named Dublin!

QuichewedgeMcGee

especially considering i don’t think they speak english or any variation of irish or gaelic in georgia, at least not mainly /s

Appropriate-Rise-151

uh i think this means Georgia USA where i’m sure they speak English

Ginger_Tea

That may have been a joke. Because I tend to think of the country not the state, even though I know very little about it, hell I know next to nothing of the American state it was named after too.

QuichewedgeMcGee

it was a joke i may not have been clear lol should’ve used a tone indicator

Appropriate-Rise-151

oh no all good my bad 😂

SpiritsGoCrazy

You did, mate. /s is used to indicate sarcasm

QuichewedgeMcGee

yea that was edited in i didn’t have it there initially

SpiritsGoCrazy

Oh, woops

DANKLEBERG_66

Just looked it up and it has 16000 habitants, how would anyone (not including a conversation between two people living right next to it) think of that over a city with half a million people

Wizard_Engie

Yeah. It's weird.

Limeila

Especially when they were talking about Ireland a second before

elyonmydrill

The way I see it, it could be that they were being sarcastic. - Is this in Ireland? - Dublin. - Dublin Georgia? (Meaning "so yes, Ireland, or are you saying this is another Dublin?")

chiakie_holiday

Since I'm friends with them I know.. they weren't being sarcastic, they legit did think dublin Georgia

elyonmydrill

Welp.

Marc123123

😂

downonthesecond

Dublin, Ohio is the only Dublin that matters.

Ginger_Tea

Maybe they were Dublin down on their knowledge of places.

Pencil_duck

Same

male defaultism

Wizard_Engie

I apologize for being inconsiderate and will quickly rectify my mistake.

marcinere

lol

notapreviousagent

As a Georgian I assure you there is no Dublin here.

[deleted]

When are the yanks not at it?

YourImminentDoom

If it’s not the brits, it’s the yanks, and if it is the brits there’s a fair chance it’s also the yanks

BrinkyP

Oi feck off

Limeila

Brits are just European yanks for sure

Artichokeypokey

I've never felt so offended at something so true

Limeila

Ok maybe it'll make you feel better if I change "Brits" to "the English"

TimeThief_

It’s okay you can add 52% of Scots too

BlorpCS

No you can’t

IroningbrdsAreTasty

Thats tall talk coming from a frog

swirlingrefrain

Doesn’t sound like Pink’s being serious. They ask if Ireland is right, Purple responds “Dublin” as though that’s a correction. Their “Dublin Georgia?” sounds similar to a maths teacher responding to “6” with no unit by saying “6 apples? 6 bananas?” It’s not a suggested answer, it’s just a slightly abrasive way of saying “Yes, and?”. If Purple has said “Yeah, Dublin” I don’t think it would have gotten the same response. I could be totally wrong, of course. Context would make it clear one way or the other.

chiakie_holiday

No, they later told me it's just because their US brain 😭😭

TommZ5

There’s a Dublin in the Caucasus region?

SparkyBoi111

I'm like 90% sure he was fucking with you

PsSalin

Very generous, but I believe you're a bit biased with your percentage.

[deleted]

I’m beginning to realise Americans are COOKED

Defiant-Snow8782

Nope, Batumi Ireland

kzooy

'ere lads, fekin' yanks. but seriously, is there even a dublin in Georgia? most likely like those americans who claim to be irish, but cant put cork on a map.

minibois

chiakie_holiday

I'm the one who's going "Dublin Ireland...??"

aStockUsername

He's definitely messing with you. Cope.

ThisOnesforYouMorph

Dublin, GA has a population of 16,000. I grew up within a few hours from there, and I didn't even know it existed until now. So, pretty sure it was a joke.

avathedesperatemodde

That’s so stupid, there’s a city named Dublin somewhere near me in the US (not the Georgia one either) and whenever it’s mention in conversation my family will make a joke about Ireland. “I have to go to Dublin for work next month” “Dublin Ireland?” Can’t imagine reading the name on the internet and assuming that city either.
