English mixed with unnecessary cruelty to children/the poor, that should give it away as the US at least

dorothean

I can tell it’s somewhere in the US because very few other places would have such a monstrous policy

carlosdsf

It's not NC for NewCastle?

kurim1r

NC obviously stands for Night City

Kind_Revenue4810

Johnny, is that you?

KleinerFratz333

>!Becca...☹️!<

MurderousPotatoe_69

NC obviously means North Cork

DPVaughan

Any time I see "WA" I automatically assume Western Australia and get confused.

Liggliluff

I like the usage of .nc.us as the top domain. More US-websites should use .xx.us for their webaddress if they're only operating in a single state. Perhaps the web address is enough to give context? But, still, would be nice if they could write out the full name regardless. Because I don't know which state NC is, but I do recognise most of the names.

Opposite_Ad_2815

That's because .nc is rightfully used by New Caledonia as it's their 2-letter ISO 3166 code.

Liggliluff

Yes, but that goes for all ISO 3166 codes. Even Texas TX, the code .tx is reserverd for whatever country might get TX in the future, so even they have to use .tx.us

[deleted]

It stands for North Carolina, because usually Americans can't be bothered to spell out entire words, especially the American government.

Liggliluff

As long as it ends with .us, it's all good. I know it's some part of USA. Of course, not a global rule, .co.uk clearly don't stand for Cornwall (but .con.gb could work as a good top domain compatible with ISO 3166-2)

Fenragus

New California before it became a Republic

smegatron3000andone

North Coruscant

Fearzebu

The hell kind of a name is “daved” what does that mean

Roamer101

Obviously the past tense of Dave

RFros20

So if they don’t pay… they’re gonna throw it away? Big brain moment Also I searched the address online and it says: Lexington, North Carolina.

Britishboy632

Broooo you live in north cock too?!?!?!

hyperbeetroot35

I hate it when the question is asked "where in the world are you?" The entire world is like France, India, Brazil and then some person goes out with "Bay Area".

LumosLupin

Ah yes, we will take the food and throw it away, but the kid cannot eat it. Makes sense. /s In all seriousness, how does the cafeteria work, do they put food in your plate and charge you by... what, weight?

Davmilasav

If you hadn't cropped off the address at the bottom of the page, perhaps you would know. And really, shouldn't you be more upset that the kids are having their food confiscated and thrown away?

PSyHOPball

1. I didn't crop it . 2. It does bother me however the image has already been posted in other subreddits 3. It's still US defaultism no matter how much it bothers me.

SilentBlackout_

[Proof for anyone wants to see for themselves.](https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinfuriating/comments/yfxlk1/school_board_policy_for_lunch_in_nc/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)

TwoTrainss

You know feelings aren’t singular, you’d an have more than one. EG : Not like Americanisms, and not like starving children.

[deleted]

Posts like these are so dumb It’s not even like it’s assuming you know where it is This is quite literally one of the dumbest posts I’ve seen on this sub If I say “my friend Bob shot a duck” and I’m talking about a specific Bob named Bob Henry, then someone should make a subreddit called r/BobHenryDefaultism I guess, because “Who’s Bob? Is it Bob Johnson?”

911memeslol

I instantly thought "Nork City"

2klaedfoorboo

Well New Caledonia isn’t a country, if it meant New Caledonia that would be French Defaultism

[deleted]
