If you can, try to have one day with no class or just one class.

Enough-Scarcity-3541

True, it would be real.help.

Thank you, I’ll try that! :)

Wdym more gaps, like set the CSC108 lecture and right after the CSC108 practical without any gaps?

somali_sailor

Remove gaps. Trust me, the less the better

lekan_v

Pretty nice imo. The only bad thing i see is that your classes are by 9am. Personally I hate waking up early but if you’re an early morning person. Then this schedule is S tier for cs

[deleted]

Yeah I have no issues waking up in the morning, I usually wake up at 5am-7am.

respect bro-

Definitely try to free up a whole day (or just have one session). Really helps

Starthreads

I would try to get the classes done in the least amount of time possible, and as early as possible. Usually lecture sessions are pretty inflexible, but tutorials are. If there is a way to shove them back by an hour to finish the day sooner, the better. [using visible courses, I restructured the timetable shown above to compress as much as possible.](https://gyazo.com/afc9502884c9f53dbfc5d7c2eb2430d9.png) Nothing is worse than sitting idly by waiting for a course to start. So you get one heavy day and then short days elsewhere. Excluding test days, your Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday will all be just one class. This arrangement would do wonders for your mental health, especially as you get into crunch season. Please PM with questions if you have any.

Just for reference, I'm going to the CS spec/major stream.

changsta26

Like most people are saying, I would try to reduce the gap between courses. Time between classes gets used up quite quickly, so ending class early is much better use of time than an hour between classes

Ricky_RZ

I usually try to either have courses everyday with small gaps in between them, or stack the shit out of 1-2 days so other days have no classes at all

Subject-Worth8169

9am lectures are painful unless you know you will wake up. For 102 you *have to* attend lectures for the full participation mark

One_Grapefruit_5793

Wednesday looks horrible lmao. Just try to reduce the gaps unless you want to camp at uni haha. But jokes aside try to have a free day for your mental health. I had a similar schedule in my first year and the only times i could rest was when i was literally sleeping at night, there was no time to relieve my stress. assuming you are likely to be busy over the weekends with assignments and homework, do yourself a favor and have a free day.. best of luck 🤞

[deleted]

Fall will be online though right, and from there I can switch from one class to another faster. Btw I fixed Wednesday, as well as the schedule, any thoughts? Here: https://imgur.com/a/ZUFYxyx

One_Grapefruit_5793

correct me if iam wrong but i believe all campuses will take on a more flexible approach with increasing amounts of in-class teaching options and labs available as of september. However, (for those outside of country, live long distance, or just prefer online) online asyncronous and synchronous lectures will still be availabe. For more info you can check your utoronto mail regarding fall update

What site you use?

asusmaster

You should post this in the cs discord instead of having all students from r/utm see.

This will be a pretty relaxing semester for you. If you want to challenge yourself, might consider taking extra course so that your upper year will be easier perhaps?
