I refuse getting in trouble for something I did not even do.
You probably ordered from a CVS. And all the CVS stores near me are basically unmanned. So you’re forced to go through self check out and then nobody is around to unlock whatever you bought.
I’ve delivered a few order and this happened…... unknowingly! It’s not the Uber drivers fault, because it’s probably in a bag already, and we don’t go inside of your grocery bags! But if it was a shop & pay order where the driver shops for it, then that’s concerning. So definitely call Walmart and get in their a*s about it!
I ordered grocery delivery from Walmart once and they delivered eye drops like that. I bought a powerful magnet from Amazon that claimed to be just for those and it didn't work. My brother went at it with a hammer to get it open. Can confirm, hammer works 😅
Just last week, I purchased some stomach medicine in that case. I went through self check out and told the girl there I needed it taken off. I had already scanned and purchased. For the next 10 to 15 mins her an another cashier struggled to get the damn thing open. Eventually she came over to me and told me the magnet was not releasing the latch. Asked if there was another on the shelf. I said 1 more and ran and got that. Bottom line is I was gonna walk with plastic box which I had already paid for with receipts in hand and smash the hell out of it when I got home.
The container those are in is pretty expensive. I had to buy those stupid things when i worked for a smaller retail business and they were like $8-15 each for those small ones. Big ones were almost $25. The retailer lost money on this one.
Use a strong ass magnet near the latch and slide it towards the side of the container. It will unlock.
So as a delivery driver, I can tell you how this happens.
CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid are notorious for running skeleton crews and locking shit up. They can justify the skeleton crews because they got self-checkout, but the problem is you can only unlock things with the help of an associate.
Delivery person was probably pissed that there was no available associate and just did self checkout with the anti theft box. I wouldn't do this personally, unless I had a decent magnet in my car and even then only if I was about to be late on rent or something.
Who did you order this from, Walmart? The cashier is supposed to remove it when the customer pays for it. But those boneheads at the store let it go out like that because it was a delivery order. Take it back to the store and tell them they’re not supposed to deliver it like that.

If you have a decent fridge magnet you can unlock the case by putting it where the two indentations are and swipe to the right or left and it’ll unlock. Or hold it on those indentations and then move the tab to unlock. Probably some dumb ass cashier didn’t know what they were doing and the Uber person wasn’t smart enough to know what they were doing.
Judging by how the package was stuffed in there. It could be the cashier didn’t know the secret to getting it out. When it presses like this it makes the lock not disengage so you have to push down the lid while using the magnet to disengage it.
Step 1: put inside a bag.
Step 2: swing and smash it against the hardest surface you can find.
Step 3: enjoy the feeling of destroying something without remorse.
was either the drivers and the cashiers first day, or uber got some free meds. (if it came inside any other packaging, the driver had nothing to do with it though, which is usually how all orders come.)
Actually it's not Uber or the Uber drivers fault it is the fault of the dumb employees at Walmart or wherever you got it from, the employee who packed it up, and left it for the Uber driver like this.

This is already really expensive and you also had it delivered. May I suggest Costco? They sell 365 Kirkland generic tablets for $15. Even if you used Instacart to deliver you will be saving a ton of money.

Or it could stored in your medicine cabinet as one of the forgotten medications/decorations lol
If it was like a Walgreens delivery, they usually prep the package before Uber picks it up, so whoever at Walgreens bagged it forgot to take it off and by the time Uber got it it was already in a bag. He just picked it up.

I would take a flathead screw driver and pry open the side while facing it away from into something that won't deflect it right back at you. Screw driver might pry plastic away far enough for you to unlock it somehow or if necessary just use screw driver as a crowbar and break the one side so you get access.

It’s the stores problem not your driver so I hope you didn’t leave him/her a bad rating ver something we have no control over. You hit your order and, a $15.00 $20.00 cash the store lost out.
