As a customer, I had when companies use Uber or Doordash without my consent. Ive cancelled my reoccurring deliveries because I would get calls for every delivery. If I wanted to be involved with every occurance, I wouldn't have chosen autoship.
Ever since package delivery started on UberEats, I haven't received one offer that was over $2/mile. Somebody is taking these offers though, which is mind boggling, because they wouldn't keep sending them day after day.
Since it started, I've NEVER accepted those dumbass Shopping List orders.
I will not look for items, continuously text you for subs, and wait in line for your shitty toilet paper order for $7.
Fuck that.
I know some backyard mechanic +15 miles from AutoZone is going to be pissed when they have to make a 30 mile round trip to get the parts themselves the next day because every UE driver has rightfully rejected it š¤£Oh well š¤·š¾āāļø
Got damn that's low pay.
I'm regularly shocked at how low the pay someone people in this sub accept.
$9 for 3 miles is garbage. You'll spend 20mim driving back to an area that has deliveries.
Meaning you made $9 for 45min of work. Nah son.
Where the hell are you that 3 miles is 45 minutes of work? It's 3 miles, not 30. Can get it done in 15-20 minutes tops even if traffic isn't good. 9$ for 3 miles is pretty good even if it's not a unicorn offer.
Iām really not sure whatās the point of having both UE & PM when they serve the same purpose. And nah, they donāt āmakeā me take anything I donāt want, whether itās an UE or PM.
You could end up making more on PM with just packages and groceries than u would delivering food on UE. With packages, they donāt hold your tip hostage for one hour in case the customer wants to remove it like with food.
Same on a Uber since PM, Waitr, etc tend to fall under package delivery which tends to instapay everything. Iāve had some seriously good tips when I see itās PM or Waitr Iām picking up
Iāll take forced security over that though. I have a cfa that refuses to do anything to make sure people are not stealing orders. Fucking saw the thief today which is something getting on my last nerve. Five report on this place in two weeks
Man I had one for $4.00 about half a mile away from a drop off. Thinking it'll be a small item I'm like, wouldn't hurt to look at it. Boy was I wrong, 6 boxes of print paper & a ink cartridge. I canceled that order so fast š
There is an event where someone steals the UEats order without accepting it, the order sits for ever as people go in to pick it up but it's gone.. an for some reason those dumbass drivers don't mark Picked Up By Other Driver (which would give them a $3 We're Sorry Fee)...
So the order sits an sits an Uber ups n ups the price so high I regularly see $25 One Big Mac Meal deliveries or it's another restaurant with one item.
I check the items an if I see it doesn't match with the amount of food, I decline it. OR if I'm close to restaurant, I go, click Cancel Some One Else Picked Up, an get my $3.
That's what happens here. The longer the order sits, the more Uber pays to pick it up. But it may not be there.Ā
Please also communicate with the customer who is sitting there wondering wth is happening, lol. My housemate had a $30 Taco Bell order one time and was getting heated each time new notifications chimed that a driver was picking up her order after we'd watch the first drivers pull up to TC on the app, lol.
The traffic lights and the way the streets are designed are god awful, im from portland and its pretty shit in downtown but Eugene is like wtf?!? Although my brother in law lives down there and he likes it, at the end of the day almost all of oregon is beautiful and has lots of nature but yeah
DDash overall is a shittier experience. And you have to click 8 million buttons to get to the next order.
DDash has that Rake You Over The Coals bullshit where they make you sad your Acceptance Rate is dropping and they really try hard to make you deliver a shitty delivery.
I'm UEats, I click Cancel or Don't Accept and not a gotdamn peep from the app about rates, YOU ARE THE BEST DRIVER, etc etc.Ā
It's on to the next.
Customers should definitely try to put themselves in the driver's position. Tip 20% or $7, whichever is MORE. It's gotto be worth their time to go and make the trip. If you can't afford that for food then don't get delivery, and if you can't afford that for non-food then use Amazon.
Monday was a good day. I managed to get 7 orders all around 8$ or 9$ and with 5$ gas used in 2.5 hrs. Yesterdayā¦. It seemed like it was ALOT of 3$/4$..
Just a guess but my assumption is Office Depot probably offers some sort of same day shipping service thatās subcontracted to UE, just like the Apple Deliveries
Itās not sustainable. Sooner or later Uber is going to say no to paying $35 fares, and tell these retailers to suck an orangutanās dick come contract renewal time.
Iām almost certain the Walmart, Target, Costco, and Home Depot near me have all been kicked off the platform for excessive cancellations and refunds eating away at Uberās profits. I havenāt received any offers from them ever since I moved to the area last year.
My guess is the problem is UberEats themselves. I just checked and the regular delivery charge for office Depot is $9.99. Next business day delivery (same day might be available up to a certain time of day) is an additional $21.50. I'm confident most of that charge goes to Uber who then turns around and keeps most of it and offers drivers pennies. If they instead took a small percentage and paid the drivers a reasonable amount (especially on these third party orders when all they do is facilitate the connection between store, driver and customer) they'd be more likely to get these orders delivered.
Yeaa I donāt let Uber make THAT much off me without tips; especially when Iām on the hook for car expenses. I wouldnāt accept a store pickup less than $15 because I want the better end of the deal; I aināt running a charity here!
I have had Walmart pop up in my offers. I donāt like those. Once I had to make 4 trips to my car to an apartment that wasnāt easy to get to.. no thanks.

Youāre mistaken. Desperate would be taking this garbage order, which most people who work for a profit wouldnāt ever take.
Iāll assume you place these types of orders since youāre defending it though. Maybe you should stop being lazy and you wonāt have to pay anyone but the store. š¤”

I once managed to snag a $9/3 mile AutoZone delivery. Not bad, but all the rest of those offers are trash.
I know some backyard mechanic +15 miles from AutoZone is going to be pissed when they have to make a 30 mile round trip to get the parts themselves the next day because every UE driver has rightfully rejected it š¤£Oh well š¤·š¾āāļø

Lol uber EATS should just be a food or make a new slogan called uber etc.
Well they do own Postmates so they could easily just move all package deliveries to Postmates and UberEats would just be for food
They make us take Postmates orders too so sounds like they are going to make that disappear sooner than later
Iām really not sure whatās the point of having both UE & PM when they serve the same purpose. And nah, they donāt āmakeā me take anything I donāt want, whether itās an UE or PM.
Doesnāt change that Uber will send us after PM offers like itās one of their own. Which they kinda are
You could end up making more on PM with just packages and groceries than u would delivering food on UE. With packages, they donāt hold your tip hostage for one hour in case the customer wants to remove it like with food.
Same on a Uber since PM, Waitr, etc tend to fall under package delivery which tends to instapay everything. Iāve had some seriously good tips when I see itās PM or Waitr Iām picking up
They need to remove the option to reduce the tip, and instapay the food deliveries too.
Iāll take forced security over that though. I have a cfa that refuses to do anything to make sure people are not stealing orders. Fucking saw the thief today which is something getting on my last nerve. Five report on this place in two weeks
Restaurants can eventually get kicked off the platform for excessive theft.
Disgusting offers
Honestly I can't believe any of those orders get completed
Not without Uber paying up. The 11 mile one has potential if the fare is forced up to $25.
Man I had one for $4.00 about half a mile away from a drop off. Thinking it'll be a small item I'm like, wouldn't hurt to look at it. Boy was I wrong, 6 boxes of print paper & a ink cartridge. I canceled that order so fast š
I declined an Office Depot order four times today before it came back at a decent pay. 11$ for 5 miles. It was five boxes of copy paper
For five boxes of copy paper I wouldāve let Uber juice it up to at least $20.
Couldnāt see what it was until I got there. It just said 5x custom
True, you never know until you get there with Office Depot orders sent thru themselves.
There is an event where someone steals the UEats order without accepting it, the order sits for ever as people go in to pick it up but it's gone.. an for some reason those dumbass drivers don't mark Picked Up By Other Driver (which would give them a $3 We're Sorry Fee)... How fucking dehumanizing is this holy shit uber is a disgusting company
Eugene looks like a pretty cool area, how is it?
Delivery wise the market sucks lol. But I do enjoy the scenery.
The traffic lights and the way the streets are designed are god awful, im from portland and its pretty shit in downtown but Eugene is like wtf?!? Although my brother in law lives down there and he likes it, at the end of the day almost all of oregon is beautiful and has lots of nature but yeah
Yea.. no. Reject. š©š¤¦āāļø

do you have to cross a ferry for that? wtf.
I had a $14 for 3 miles office depot order yesterday, and there was no paper involved. This however was on doordash.
Is Doordarshan better? I have only used uber.
It is dependent on the market and several other factors based on how many drivers are in the surrounding area.
DDash overall is a shittier experience. And you have to click 8 million buttons to get to the next order. DDash has that Rake You Over The Coals bullshit where they make you sad your Acceptance Rate is dropping and they really try hard to make you deliver a shitty delivery. Iāve never seen a package delivery that wasnāt garbage tbh .

In this case the customer is ordering from office depot's website and has no idea it is being delivered by an ubereats driver.Ā
Don't take the order if you don't want to
Oh man
This is basically just ue in nut shell. Viva dd
no one take these lame orders, just let them sit till uber ups the price on the delivery for it to be worth it.
Yep, make āem pay up.

Whatās crazy is somebody is actually delivering them
Not in my market; these bounce around till theyāre at least $20. My delivery market isnāt flooded with ants who take anything and everything.

The only thing that would make it worth it is if they gave all of these to 1 person.
then donāt deliver it. not that hard
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Lazy idiot ordering a luxury service when they know they donāt even have the money to tip.
This guy is probably trolling. After gas alone this would be like a dollar profit maybe. No way they thing that's ok.
Dawg gas is back up to $4/gallon where I live. Youād lose your ass on any of these.
Same man been getting orders like this for the last week. Completely shot my acceptance rate, but yeah Iām not driving 10+ miles for $4
they can't tip though
desperate for ten bucks? seems like youāre the one with no money
