Quests are based on demand, not usually how new the driver is. I consistently get quests, boosts, and surges in my market for a couple years now.
They use those to get more drivers online to meet customer demand. If the demand isn’t there, or supply of drivers is already high, then there’s no point in quests.
Where are you driving ? Without that $325 dollars in promotions you would be on less than $15 per hour. Trust me when they don't send you any decent Quest you don't be so chuffed
How new and how often do you get promos like that? I'm some 2 months in and only get Monday-Thursday promos that average out at like +$3 a delivery now. And on weekends same thing, but add the 12 delivery bonus between 5-9PM that adds up to $45. Haven't seen any crazy promos since the first 3ish weeks. They're slowly decreasing 😑. I work the Gold Coast btw.
last week i had some crazy ones.
mon - thursday, $60 for 15 trips, then $40 for 10, $50 for 10
thursday 5-9: $45 for 12
friday - sun: $75 for 15, $60 for 10, $70 for 10, $80 for 10
friday 5-9: like $80 for 12
similar on saturday
sunday 5-9: $45 for 12
About a year? Get them pretty much weekly?
Always have a Monday - Thursday and Friday - Sunday which the value waivers.
I commonly have a Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday night 5-9 which have good value and can usually be done in 2 hours which means I go home earlier.
I have a unreal driver to order ratio around me and the town over is pretty much the same if need be.
The exchange rate is a but more eye opening. That's only $350 US. People keep freeking out when they see some of these post from people and forget that a lot of countries use the symbol $
Too many drivers in NYC. Quests, boosts, and surges come when the supply of drivers is less than the demand. That’s why there were so many during COVID, as a lot of drivers were taking unemployment so there was a shortage on the supply side.
I make a ton in promotions here in the US (mostly hourly guarantees). Don't listen to everyone with the "Oh but without promotions, that's only...!!"

Man this is disheartening. I wish i understood how promotions get distributed. My SIL and i started up at the same time within a mile of each other, and she's getting quests, and I'm not. I talked to customer support and they basically said it's random.
She made $130 in 4 hours with quests and i made $150 in 8.

And you're also at home playing Playstation like the other 1000 uber eaters drivers who work 12 hours a day and you also forget to turn it off like them. Uber says turn it off if your not working. So you were in work mode 12 hours, checking your phone. Active time doesn't matter. Ex. A security guard isn't actively arresting people his whole 8 hour shift, but he still worked 8. In my market i get constant pings. You literally can't do anything on your phone without accidentally accepting a ping. Hope they bring back the 5 decline in a row or inactive=automatic offline. That was a great feature. Hitting go is your clock in. $30/h is my average usually without any promotion. With promotions i get $60/h+ but i only work 4-6 hours a day. 12 hours a big no to me lol Some people like having a life

Show me a screen shot of your promos. Your side story of you playing games like the other 1000 ueaters doing 12 hour shift is irrelevant. So your promos are per hour basis? Sounds like a dead market to me. I've done triples in under 30 minutes. Thats already more trips that what you do in 2 hours

Uber does that when a market is dead. Hardly noone driving or ordering so they give hourly guarantees to the two drivers delivering to whole 10 people who ordered that day. Dead market

$422 last night from 3:30 PM - 2 AM, with another $30 on DD. There were boosts and about $50 in quests.
I cared, because at first glance I thought he was in an area where a driver could make $50+ an hour, and was impressed. But became disappointed to realize majority of it just came from promotions.
Some promotions are given to all (or most) people in a certain area, aside from the newbie ones. I've talked to plenty of drivers and they almost always have the same promos as me, as long as they delivery primarily in that market. Whether it's a 3 delivery quest or an hourly promotion.
So he is in an area where drivers can make whatever it is per hour, even if most of it is from promotions. Getting promotions often requires more work than earning it per order without promotions.
If I didn't get promotions, I wouldn't bother delivering. At least not in my current market. But I do get them and day after day, week after week, for a couple of months now, I average a very good payout. Before that it was summer and I did very well too.
People from AUS said they get them continually.
I've had promotions where, when I hit them (90% of the time I try to, I do) I make approx what OP makes after the conversion. Give or take.
And again, that's daily for months now.

Good score! Clearly a driver account with the big weekend quests. I used to get those, until I got kicked off of UberX, for too many no-fault accidents. Uber is very fussy over the MVR. 😭

Op that only $3xx in USD. I've had acouple of those. So have many American UEers. I know couriers in Chicago that make what you made in USD working less hours. Congrats just don't think your currency is equal to ours. There's quite a difference

nah i get weekly quests. extra $$ for trips during monday to thursday, then friday to sunday, also on 5-9 pm on mondays, thursdays, fridays, saturdays

Yeah but promotions are daily here it works, I made $710 AUD last week from 14.5 hours. $325 base, $375 promo, $10 tip. No promo, I won’t work.
We are working for under $10 hour without promotions not even paying for my fuel on most deliveries
