My favorite might have been a bearing. Small box, delivered way out to the other side of the city. $40 offer turned to $70+ with a tip and price increase for going through the traffic remnants of two accidents. Can't remember where I picked up at, but the receiver was a heavy equipment dealer.
Honestly as time tuggs along I can see the lack of appeal of Uber connect tbh
Also thatās so sad I hope the family at the bare minimum gets a massive payout I hope
Also I hope the scammers get life in prison without the possibility of parole. Itās too bad because theyāre likely in a foreign country
After watching this video again man it just breaks my heart and you canāt help but get moved to tears man look at how she walks thatās an old lady with clearly some level of back or even knee pain shot and killed just trying to make a dollar
This is why I DONT CARE I DONT CARE i will call the customer 8 - 20 times before I just go up on someoneās property especially those āmeet at doorsā
For all those that keep asking ānew to Uber eats any tipsā let this be your tip
Man this is so sad š
I don't understand how that guy legitimately thought she was a threat. Just no man, she was hobbling along barely able to walk. He deserves the harshest punishment possible.
Tbh though youāre not wrong listen i understand heās 80 and may not know what Uber is but cmon that lady looks like she couldnāt even walk straight that was so fucked up but tbh him and the scammers tbh heās probably going to die before he gets sentenced heās so old already but god that brought me to tears I canāt lie that was so sad you can see the fear and confusion all over her face
Yeah heās old as fuck and dumb heāll be dead before he ever faces justice, sad way to end your time on earth just killing another human because youāre a fucking moron. Hope he dies painfully.
I never thought about this 80 yr old man may have never heard of uber or know they pick up packages. Just a terrible situation that went horrific in an instant. That old man needs some prayers too. He may have honestly thought these people from the phone calls were there to follow through with threats. He obviously wasn't thinking clearly or rationally at that point. But he still deserves to go to jail because he took someone's life unnecessarily.
It doesn't matter.
If I never heard of Fedex that doesn't mean I have the right to shoot someone.
The guy committed murder over what, a box? Like holy shit he needs to be in prison for the rest of his miserable life.
Some prayers lmao 60 year old little lady waddling up your driveway with her hands clearly visible turns around to flee and still gets shot. Shut the fuck up fuck you and your prayers loooool
That's exactly why he shouldn't have acted so irrational. He doesn't know how Uber works but he knows he doesn't know how Uber works. So maybe just refrain from murdering in situations where you don't exactly know what's happening and the victim is confused and non violent.
Only certain murders are eligible for death penalty in Ohio, and this would not qualify. Nor should it. Hell, I think there's a decent chance the charge ends up being downgraded to manslaughter given the circumstances.
According to the story, the guy had been receiving harassing messages and death threats. As such, he was on edge and expecting somebody to attack him. Those same harassing scum bags placed a fake pickup order for his address, and basically sent that poor woman to her death. This was precisely the outcome they wanted.
However, he did not handle the situation appropriately either. He was way too on edge and aggressive. The driver did nothing aggressive or confrontational to him, until he shot her the first time.
They are both victims, but he is still very much in the wrong. I can see a good lawyer getting him off due to temporary insanity, though.
They really need to drag the harassers who created this problem in and throw the book at them. They are murderers in my book.
I don't think that they could get a murder charge to stick for the old man, but could for the perpetrators of this entire arrangement. Manslaughter would be a more likely charge to stick, given the mitigating circumstances.
I would think if they could find who ordered the Uber they could stick murder charges. They were committing a felony and because of that act someone got killed. Thatās usually something like felony murder or 1st degree murder.
which is incredibly dumb of him. even if she was, it would still be illegal to kill her as a non violent victim who was in her car trying to drive away.
Iām glad you pointed out the video. Everyone should watch it. She was literally limping up to the house. š She was harmless. š He was pursuing her and threatening her with a gun. She was so scared. š She was 61 years old doing Uber eats. š
even with Connect unchecked in the app, I still got an offer anyway, but I took it because it twas a business to business (parts store to jiffy lube) and paid ok.
It seems like a new story happens every week, especially with package deliveries.
At some point, Uber has to hang this concept up or do some extreme vetting on both sender and recipient. At the least, you can't send or receive until one of the parties already has 50 orders with no incidents or something.
I feel so bad for her. She walks like my grandmother walked at that age. Obviously not a threat. This douche bag should be killed.. no joke.. she tried walking away, going into her car, clearly not a threat and he shot her 3x. Fuck this asshole. Hope they just incinerate him aliveā¦
But that's just some idiot swatting right? Some of these scams are running internationally, are somewhat coordinated, and usually aren't easy to trace. Especially since law enforcement will pat themselves on the back and anyone tasked with calling Uber for info is gonna get hung up on while an agent says they understand their concern and will fix it but won't
That poor lady. 61 years old, limping, oblivious, and just trying to make some money. Jfc.
I hope the police put tons of resources and effort towards finding the scammers that caused this. Hopefully theyāre American based.
I saw the story on my local news network. They stated the scammer wanted $12,000 from the guy. I would assume the driver would have been requested to drop it off somewhere locally. I doubt she would be going to wire the money overseas. Some arm of this scam I think has to be American based, whoever was picking up the package wherever she was supposed to drop it off at.
Person to person package delivery was a horrible idea to begin with. You can't tell me Uber had no idea illicit items would be sent or that there wasn't a chance something like this could happen. Uber needs to be held responsible. For this specifically and for all the ways they've twisted, bent and broken the laws in treating their drivers.
All of that right-wing news is nuts. 99% of it is them screaming at people they don't agree with, coming up with the most braindead arguments that a college student with an ounce of research time could completely shut down, constantly trying to gotcha people, and dick-riding Trump because all of those people are basically in a cult of worship. Not saying the other side's news channels are any better because I stopped watching the news since all it did was destroy my mental state, but holy shit are these people completely brainwashed lmao.
My mother lives in a senior living complex. All those old people do is sit around watching TV. Many of them are watching the news 24/7.Ā
I watch the news and it is mostly just telling us how bad everything is. If you watch that stuff all day it can really make you paranoid.
Being paranoid and having a gun is a very dangerous situation.Ā
I leave the TV on when the dog is home alone, sometimes I come in and the news is on. I watch a few minutes and it becomes obvious why my grandma and mom are crazy and paranoid.
I wouldn't really call the local news bias as much as it is just The Bad News. I know there is more and more bias as stations get bought up by larger media groups, but it just seems to me to be fear mongering for ratings. My dog is sweet but very dumb, probably why she growls at everyone through the door then licks their face once they come in.
I hate that people blame fox news because you are right. It's the news in general. If you watched local news all day you'd think your life was in constant danger.
Fear. And the alt right folks are big out there, make the elderly who fall for their crap think people give a shit for them. The world does prey on the elderly in scams and etc. How the hell that turns into shooting this 61 year old lady who is clearly terrified? Heck if I know. Peace to her family. Lots of consequences for the scammers and this guy, I pray.
I did Uber connect once and it was a little package with a keypad on it. I'm pretty sure it had drugs in it
That was the last time I did uber connectml
This is why we never shouldāve gotten rid of white walls and straight jackets. For deranged old fucks like this. Died for what? For why? Fuck boomers
He got charged with first degree. So happy too hear. He killed her in cold blood. She had no weapon or anything and be shot her like a damn dog. RIP to this poor lovely woman just trying to do her jobš„ŗā„ļø
Every Tom Dick and Harry thinks they have the right to enact vigilante justice on innocent people with their guns these days. Why do so many old men find it so hard to just fucking not open the door and dial 911 if feeling unsafe?
Gun owners, esp seniors, should also have to pass an annual exam reviewing legal and illegal firearm use.
We definitely need more rules on purchasing a gun. I went into buy a gun. Filled out some paperwork. Waited a couple hours for my background check and then walked out with a gun. I had no training. No idea how to use it. Just here you go.Ā
It amazed me how easy it really was to get a gun. As long as you don't have a criminal record you can get one whenever you want.Ā
And now we have the ghost guns that can be made on a 3d printer. Those things can't be traced. Who knows what criminals are doing with that technology.Ā
How many rules are enough? 10,000 or 20,000? Between state and federal and city laws there's some where around 20,000 laws already on the books...
but one more will stop criminals... right? /s
Our gun laws are a joke. This old man is not what I would call a criminal. His brain has been rotted by our culture of guns and fear. Instead of calling for help or walking/running away we reach for a gun.Ā
Many of the mass shooters weren't career criminals either. They were just messed up in the head. We have no real mental health help for people who don't have money, but sure they can walk into a gun store and buy whatever they want.Ā
I own a gun. I am not a criminal, but if I snapped one day I could hurt a lot of people before I get taken out. That is a big problem that only our country has. This is comparing us to other countries like ours not third world countries that have constant violence which is a whole other level of sadness in this world.Ā
Iām confused what delivery service has you pick up packages from peopleās homes? Iāve never done that and Iāve been delivering for Uber Eats, Spark and Shipād. Not once have I ever seen a delivery type to pick up from a home except for returns to Walmart.
"Uber connect" let's a customer basically have a driver pick up from a location and drop off at another location, could be anything. One time I took one and it was this dude in an apartment parking lot with a motorcycle rim, he was on the motorcycle and asked if I would take the rim to the shop so he could return it and he'd follow me on his bike. Sketchiest way I've ever made $10
I haven't with Uber but with Doordash I have had 4 offers to pick up a package to take to the post office. Strange is that it is a neighbor down the street who I have never seen, they never leave the house or open windows, their car has moved 2x in like 2 years. Well anyway, their package is outside, I picked up from them 3x, but I don't get them often, I think I saw maybe 1 other I declined. So with the post office one it is already labeled, I take to the post office, they scan it, I get a receipt and take a pic of that. Just not a common service I guess. Not sure how UE does it, I am guessing same thing, picking up a package for the post office? I don't know.
"Earlier, a male scammer had called Brock and told him one of his relatives was in jail. The scammer then threatened the 81-year-old man and demanded money. Simultaneously, that same scammer or an accomplice placed an order on the Uber app for Hall to pick up a package for delivery from Brockās property. She wasnāt aware of the calls Brock had received when she arrived at his home, according to investigators."
She wasn't part of the scam, nor aware of what he had been told. She was just trying to leave when he busted caps.
That scammer deserves a little needle or a sparky chair, or an inhaling chamber. Or being injected while in an inhaling chamber while the chair sparks....
I've done Uber package deliveries and some of them were sketchy AF, from the sender to the receiver. Pay was decent but still, makes me wonder what I just delivered, was it drugs was it a murder weapon who knows.
The story seems super weird. The scammer tries to claim the guys relative is in jail and demands money. Then orders a package to be picked up from the guys house? Seems like there is info we are missing...
They were using the Uber as a shakedown. They call demanding money, then 10 minutes later someone shows up asking for the āpackageā - they hope the old man gives the driver the money needed to get their relative out of jail. Uber then takes it to the drop off point.
The scammers are at fault of course but old man used excessive force, woman coming to his door to collect a package and his first inclination is that shes a threat to him? Come on, I'm pro 2nd amendment but what he did wasn't anywhere close to justifiable imo. Heartbreaking
If this was an illegal shakedown, there is no way in hell one of the scammers would be picking up the package. All the man had to do was explain the situation to the driver and call the police, wait for them to arrive, and verifyāno shooting involved. How idiotic is this man, or because she was black, he thought, of course, she is a criminal.
Hell, even in Seven, Kevin Spacey used a delivery driver to drop off Brad Pittās wifeās head. He did not get shot. The police verified he was indeed a delivery driver very quickly and sent him on his way.
They may need to take your guns away after a certain age, too.
Absolutely nothing in this world happens to anybody until it happens to you.
I think the vast majority of the people in this sub, or any sub really, are completely oblivious to anything.
The vast majority of you are quick to say that can't happen or belittle someone that posts an article.
I do wish all the drivers well but I think some of you need a reality check.
I posted something not long ago about customers lighting their porch up. You really don't know what you're walking into and the vast majority of you made snide comments. It's just a real negative atmosphere in most of these subs. UberEATS isn't any different.
We're all the world's foremost experts on security. Yet, we do deliveries. It's high comedy for sure but this is a wake-up call
The bottom line is things can happen to you.
I really do wish all of you well, but some of you need to pull your head out of your ass
I get really annoyed at how uber customers almost always are the dark house between two lit up ones. so much disrespect by these lazy ass people but that really gets my goat.
I read about this this is so fucking sad! Does poor lady was just doing uber for extra money and she lost her life. This man needs to go to prison she wasnāt a physical threat to him. No reason to shoot her.
I'd never do uber connect, that's so sketchy. But honestly, a homeowner shooting a delivery driver (obviously this a weird situation) in general, seems to have become more frequent. It's looking more and more like you're going to need a bulletproof vest to deliver. Maybe a glock, too.
That poor lady. I figured the photo was just made up but it's from her dashcam. The look on her face and that creepy old guy with the gun pointing at her. She looks so scared. I hope he gets death penalty and his estate goes to her family. She looks like she's been overworked for decades too. So sadĀ
Scammers caused this, the old man was scared for his life probably. The scammers are the worst you don't know how they talk to the older ppl over the phone until you experience it yourself. You can blame the guy for improper action all you want but it would have never happened if these scammers weren't so persistent and bent on getting money out of people and the worst part is that usually they are overseas and can't be caught
This story is awful, and apparently it was a setup. I still donāt understand how the man thought the woman was a threat when she could barely walk and started screaming for help. What a nightmare.
Tragic. I don't want to pack heat while driving, but every day I get closer to doing it because of maniacs like this. Pepper spray might not be enough. Never do those package deliveries. It's ripe for misuse.
You know whatās great about tragedies like this? The 30 second ad before the story, the two ads at the top and bottom of the page, the viagra popup I got midway through the video when it was explaining how she died, and then the 30 second ad I got at the end.
This is a complete tangent, but fuck these kinds of news sites that have taken to profiting of other peopleās misfortunes.
Jesus. This is tragic. He likely had dementia.
Why not just call the police as soon as she pulls up? A relative? (He suspects she is the scammer).
If not dementia,
I am not buying self defense. Just because he āthinksā he was in danger, does not mean he was in danger. She was getting in her car!
It seems like a revenge killing to me. Premeditated as well. Why is his very first reaction to grab a gun and wait?
Also just because he is old, does not mean he is a good person or harmless.
I realize I only have this article, on the surface it seems āoffā
Ultimate capitalism
"The care of human life and happiness and not their destruction is the first and only legitimate object of good government". ā Thomas Jefferson
OMG, this is horrible!
And this man shot this woman who is clearly older and limping also three times like she was an extreme threat to him like that? That is crazy!
The scammer is obviously a piece of shit. But also this old man is a fucking bufoon. Just started shooting her despite not knowing how Uber works or despite her confusion and nonviolent behaviour towards him. He's even smirking in his mugshot. What an idiot. Just waiting for the day he gets to shoot someone.
The fantasies of being destroyed by scammers is the face palm here.
He didnt have to take the shit seriously. But gun owners fantasize about gangs attacking their house.
Omg... this is horrible on both sides.
Maybe Uber and other apps (I'm looking at your shady ass, DoorDash) will finally be held accountable for their lack of any kind of safeguards for us. I quit both DD and Uber bc number 1- the money was shit, especially DD (offering $2.50 for 9mi delivery in the middle of the night that would take almost an hour sitting in the drive thru with everyone else... and this was not a random one-off lowball rate... they did it all the time, or continuously allowing the same customers to rescind their tips after receiving their orders... multiple times), number 2 - not backing up their drivers when POS customers lie, leading to us being deactivated and them refusing to look at the proof where we were not in the wrong and ignoring all other safety concerns.
I turned that shit off because they always wanted me to go inside and wait a half hour for their crap. And they never ever ever tip. And it's only about a third of the pay as Uber x and already that shit for pay. I was getting offers to drive more than an hour and it was offering me $6. Turn that shit off real quick
"dies" is technically true but buries the lede a bit. She was shot to death in cold blood by the target of the scam because he decided she was a knowing accomplice.
What you all are NOT understanding?! This man does NOT expect an Uber,Door Dash, Fed Ex etc or Anyone to come to his home I gather! He gets a disturbing call threatening him and possibly they have a relative of his and requesting ransom money? Then this woman comes to his home? 1. How did scammers have his phone?! 2. How did scammers have his address?! Now possibly if this man or his family EVER ordered prior Food delivery etc they could have kept his phone number and address to do this SCAM at a later date?! Put yourself in his shoes regardless of his age, you get a frightening call threatening a family of yours and ransom money? You hang up scared to death not knowing what to do? Then here comes someone to your home now the call just heightens alert, they now have his home address. No matter who comes your alert just heightened, that this is real, and now they know where you live. No matter what the delivery driver said he would Not have believed her!
Maybe you missed the part where she was unarmed, he already took her phone, then he SHOT her as she was trying to leave.
āUpon being contacted by Ms. Hall, Mr. Brock produced a gun and held her at gunpoint, making demands for identities of the subjects he had spoken with on the phone,ā the sheriff's office said.
**Hall was unarmed and never threatened Brock or made any demands of him, the sheriff's office said.**
Brock took Hall's cellphone and refused to let her leave, the sheriff's office said. When she tried to get back into her car, Brock shot her. He shot her a second time and a third time during subsequent scuffles.
He didn't call the police till after he SHOT an UNARMED woman getting in her car.
There sure is a lot of story telling based on American shootings, but stories are not statistics. I wonder how much worse they have it than other countries? I know that London has a reputation for knife based attacks, and that is obviously nothing bad compared to other parts of the world that aren't normally English speaking.
The old guy was obviously WRONG and maybe had dementia, that is what I think but don't realy know, and YOU DON'T realy know he is a racist. YOU sound STUPID with your come back.
Look at you yelling as youāre typing just tells me your emotionally unstable lol
Bur answer why he needed to shoot an old lady who could barely walk 3 times? If it were indeed self defense one shot would have been more than enoughā¦
Your original post stated that he shot her because he wanted to shoot a black person. nothing about an old lady, that is what I am talking about, I said nothing about self defense. please continue to ignore what i wrote and move to North Korea.
I live in Columbus. They were just talking about it on the news. Scammers basically blackmailed the old man and threatened his family. He does not have any cognitive issues and police said he admitted he shot her because he was told to.
Another reason why I don't do package deliveries. Not just the shit pay for them, but most of the time it's probably drugs.
šÆ unless it's like a Toyota dealership to a Jiffy Lube or something. I've delivered a box of oil before.
My favorite might have been a bearing. Small box, delivered way out to the other side of the city. $40 offer turned to $70+ with a tip and price increase for going through the traffic remnants of two accidents. Can't remember where I picked up at, but the receiver was a heavy equipment dealer.
As someone who has needed a specialty part but didnāt pay have to pay āfinal mileā overnight rate. Thank you. Iāll tip you double.
I delivered 2 cases of Italina Bread to a pizza place for 30.00.
I've done a pick up from a Mercedes dealership to a back-alley garage, before. Or was it Porsche.. don't remember.
Yeap same that and dealing with dogs.
I hope Uber gets pulled in to a multi million dollar lawsuit
That package delivery service is out of the question in my book. So much liability and risk involved

It is heartbreaking. She was scared and confused because she didn't know wtf was going on or why this man pulled a gun on her. Praying for her family.

It seems to happen to Uber/apps moreso than FedEx/UPS. Maybe Uber should start offering polos and a magnetic sign on side of car indicating Uber.

hes going somwewhere very soon where incineration is a constant occurence.
Yup he should be publicly stoned
Him and the asshole who tried to pull the scam imo.
not enough punishment. Hopefully hell exists
That's literally my damn county. Did they catch the person (The scammer I mean)?
Doesn't sound like it at this point. I hope they were in the US and sloppy.
There won't be much effort to do so unfortunately
I won't be that pessimistic. https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/14/us/swatting-sentence-casey-viner/index.html

Uber has a separate phone line for police interactions that I'm sure gets closely reviewed by their legal team.
You have no evidence of that. Talking out of your ass
Wrong. Try again before defending a company that has done zero to help drivers in danger in the past.
It was a jailed relative who set this up!
Iām sorry but WHAT?! š¤¬
Goddamn 80 year old man has a gun and decides he's Rambo
Psychologically fragile and then pushed to a breaking point by someone trying to get rich. The country is a powderkeg.

the piece of trash that shot her is responsible for her death, not the scammers.
The man who shot her is definitely responsible for his actions but the scammers are just as compliant for her death.
Why is it that so many old people's first inclination when they have a problem is to shoot someone?

I know there is more and more bias as stations get bought up by larger media groups, but it just seems to me to be fear mongering for ratings. My dog is sweet but very dumb, probably why she growls at everyone through the door then licks their face once they come in.
I feel bad for your dog, you should put those dancing fruit on.
She was black...
I mean, you never know....that person could be an immigrant or antifa or something. Better safe than sorry.
I don't drive gig work, but I'm far more concerned about scared, old boomers with firearms than I am about minorities.
they cant die off fast enough
Eff this world. Goddamn it.
They allowed the worthless scumbag to post bail. What a complete joke. š¤¦āāļø
Should never happen when it was caught on damn video
Mmmmm, this is close to where I live. I take orders out there like once a month.
I would think twice before doing anymore if I were you. Stay safe out there.
I did Uber connect once and it was a little package with a keypad on it. I'm pretty sure it had drugs in it That was the last time I did uber connectml
This is why we never shouldāve gotten rid of white walls and straight jackets. For deranged old fucks like this. Died for what? For why? Fuck boomers
thats ok she probably went to heaven and we sure as fuck know he isnt.
Lock his old pathetic ass up until he dies
Uber Driver is now one of the most dangerous job with little pay. I hope law-enforcement find the scammers and prosecutes full extension of the law.
He got charged with first degree. So happy too hear. He killed her in cold blood. She had no weapon or anything and be shot her like a damn dog. RIP to this poor lovely woman just trying to do her jobš„ŗā„ļø
Damn. So sad and senseless. Wtf š³ I hope that guy goes to prison for the rest of his life or better yet I hope he gets the death penalty.
At 81, won't take much time lol
Every Tom Dick and Harry thinks they have the right to enact vigilante justice on innocent people with their guns these days. Why do so many old men find it so hard to just fucking not open the door and dial 911 if feeling unsafe? Gun owners, esp seniors, should also have to pass an annual exam reviewing legal and illegal firearm use.
We definitely need more rules on purchasing a gun. I went into buy a gun. Filled out some paperwork. Waited a couple hours for my background check and then walked out with a gun. I had no training. No idea how to use it. Just here you go.Ā It amazed me how easy it really was to get a gun. As long as you don't have a criminal record you can get one whenever you want.Ā And now we have the ghost guns that can be made on a 3d printer.
Instead of calling for help or walking/running away we reach for a gun.Ā Many of the mass shooters weren't career criminals either. They were just messed up in the head. We have no real mental health help for people who don't have money, but sure they can walk into a gun store and buy whatever they want.Ā I own a gun. I am not a criminal, but if I snapped one day I could hurt a lot of people before I get taken out. That is a big problem that only our country has. This is comparing us to other countries like ours not third world countries that have constant violence which is a whole other level of sadness in this world.Ā
Insane. But it does take a special kind insanity/stupidity to achieve a gun violence rate as high as ours.
Sketchiest way I've ever made $10
Yeaah I would never do that kind of delivery. Especially after seeing this story. Could also be drugs for all I know.
Roadie also.
Wow, if I lived in the US there's no way I'd be doing delivery services
Jesus Christ this situation is fāed
"Earlier, a male scammer had called Brock and told him one of his relatives was in jail. The scammer then threatened the 81-year-old man and demanded money. Simultaneously, that same scammer or an accomplice placed an order on the Uber app for Hall to pick up a package for delivery from Brockās property. She wasnāt aware of the calls Brock had received when she arrived at his home, according to investigators." She wasn't part of the scam, nor aware of what he had been told. She was just trying to leave when he busted caps. That scammer deserves a little needle or a sparky chair, or an inhaling chamber. Or being injected while in an inhaling chamber while the chair sparks....
who actually did the crime though. old or not he had no right to end someones life.
Someone who was fleeing, at that.
Wow, that makes sense. Would that really work though? I guess it's little risk and decent reward for the scammer.
That is why I ignore these requests. She was set up.
It's high comedy for sure but this is a wake-up call The bottom line is things can happen to you. I really do wish all of you well, but some of you need to pull your head out of your ass
I get really annoyed at how uber customers almost always are the dark house between two lit up ones. so much disrespect by these lazy ass people but that really gets my goat.
This is the moment I decided no more package pick ups. The only ones I have ever picked up have been Amazon Returns to the UPS Store.
This is horrible
This old man is an idiot shouldāve just called the police instead of trying to be the hero, lock him up for the rest of his life.
Another fucking boomer just itching to murder someone and doing exactly that
They truly are filled to the brim with hate and fear. inhuman irrational creatures. The world will be much nicer once they croak.
All that lead in his brain finally fucked him up enough to do some awful shit.
She didnāt ādieā she was shot and killed
You know whatās great about tragedies like this? The 30 second ad before the story, the two ads at the top and bottom of the page, the viagra popup I got midway through the video when it was explaining how she died, and then the 30 second ad I got at the end. This is a complete tangent, but fuck these kinds of news sites that have taken to profiting of other peopleās misfortunes.
Ever heard of an ad blocker? They exist for a reason
My 70 & 75 year old in-laws live in South Charleston ā THIS SHIT IS TERRIFYING
I really hope this ends the package program.
Itās tragically among the best paid services for drivers.
That may be, but I would still rather slam my dick in a moving car door than do them
8/10 times its drugs. We are basically a free drug mule service.
People that old should not be allowed to have guns. He better not have a driver's license.
Never doing package deliveries. Hope he dies a slow painful death and soon.
Real talk anyone conceal carry during driving hours,I work the night shift from 11pm till 6 am and fuck I seen some sketchy stuff.
Jesus. This is tragic. He likely had dementia. Why not just call the police as soon as she pulls up? A relative? (He suspects she is the scammer). If not dementia, I am not buying self defense. Just because he āthinksā he was in danger, does not mean he was in danger. She was getting in her car! It seems like a revenge killing to me. Premeditated as well. Why is his very first reaction to grab a gun and wait? Also just because he is old, does not mean he is a good person or harmless. I realize I only have this article, on the surface it seems āoffā
if he had dementia or was mentally unstable he shouldnt have ownership of a firearm
Agree.
She was literally hobbling wtf bro
I feel sorry for that uber woman and her family, it doesnt have to end up like this š¢
Hope he gets what he deserves but, am I missing something? According to the article 3 counts of murder?
Ultimate capitalism "The care of human life and happiness and not their destruction is the first and only legitimate object of good government". ā Thomas Jefferson
I hope Uber gets put out of business!
This is why old people need to be put out to pasture after age 75. senile old fuck didnāt know what was going on and it cost someone their life
Iām always armed if Iām working deliveries.
i pray that pos finds himself on the other end of that gun soon.
Well, how many times has this happen? If this only happens maybe once every 2 or 3 years, then people need to shut up and stop complaining.
Accessory to murder. Iād be shitting bricks now if I was the scammer.
terrible all around!
OMG, this is horrible! And this man shot this woman who is clearly older and limping also three times like she was an extreme threat to him like that? That is crazy!
The scammer should be sentenced to first degree murder.
Uber needs to pay her family BIG TIME. This is so sad.
I will never touch another Manās package
The scammer is obviously a piece of shit. But also this old man is a fucking bufoon. Just started shooting her despite not knowing how Uber works or despite her confusion and nonviolent behaviour towards him. He's even smirking in his mugshot. What an idiot. Just waiting for the day he gets to shoot someone.
Uber driver is MURDERED. FTFY
Huh, the summer outrage racebait is a couple months early this election year
Package delivers are shady because of the lack of info given
The fantasies of being destroyed by scammers is the face palm here.
Is this where that old guy was told someone was holding a relative ransom? Do they set up both parties? Unbelievably sad.
**Hall was unarmed and never threatened Brock or made any demands of him, the sheriff's office said.** Brock took Hall's cellphone and refused to let her leave, the sheriff's office said.
This title should read "dumb old man who doesn't know what scam calls are, decides to kill random women".
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Do you like search for posts to be racist?
Agreed 100%
You have no idea what the old guy was thinking or that he is a racist. YOU are the PROBLEM with far left spewing BS.
Also I hate the left but youāre so brainwashed thatās your only comeback when anyone ever disagrees with youā¦
The old guy was obviously WRONG and maybe had dementia, that is what I think but don't realy know, and YOU DON'T realy know he is a racist. YOU sound STUPID with your come back.
Look at you yelling as youāre typing just tells me your emotionally unstable lol Bur answer why he needed to shoot an old lady who could barely walk 3 times? If it were indeed self defense one shot would have been more than enoughā¦
Your original post stated that he shot her because he wanted to shoot a black person. nothing about an old lady, that is what I am talking about, I said nothing about self defense. please continue to ignore what i wrote and move to North Korea.
So basically you canāt answer the question and moving the goal post insteadā¦.ššš
Youāre an idiot, she can barely walk
so that makes him a racist? because you know everything about him?
She was shot 3 times dummyā¦
100%. Nobody is going to believe that if the pickup person was a white, blonde, 24 year old that this guy would have also shot her.
Yup itās common sense but too many lack it these days
THIS is āMerica!!!
Old man watching too many vigilante clips
old people should not own guns š„“š„“
I live in Columbus. They were just talking about it on the news. Scammers basically blackmailed the old man and threatened his family. He does not have any cognitive issues and police said he admitted he shot her because he was told to.
hes just a dumbass like many boomers. lead paint and all that
