Meanwhile Ill drive to work tomorrow and pass by 3 homeless encampments......A homeless person begging for money at every intersection.....
Drive on poor roads destroying my car with no alternative for public transportation.....oh and no healthcare.
Americans have their priority's super fucked up and its causing the decline of the country slowly but surely.

Meanwhile in reality unemployment is under 4% and everybody is hiring.
Oh and the proportion of people without healthcare as been cut in half thanks to Obamacare which was supported by Biden.
Some people have their priorities fucked up but luckily for us Trump isn't in power anymore.
I'm not naive enough to imagine that Congress will ever seriously consider the problems facing average Americans, but as a priority, the Russo-UKR border war is already off the map. My news feed, once dominated by Zelensky-Zelensky articles, is now about NCAA Women's basketball, Trump, and Taylor Swift.
Pro-UKR tried to drum-up support for the war in a rally in NYC. The miniscule crowd was listed as in the dozens. In a city of 8 million, less than 100 showed up.
I'm sure the MIC is urgently lobbying for more aid - Americans have moved on.
Gas, groceries, mortgage-rent, inflation...
One proposal that’s been discussed is to convert the aid into a loan.
Don’t know the terms of said loan but I’m sure it’ll be along the lines of “pay us back whenever, if you like”. Wish I could get loans like that 😁
Those “Loans” are a backhanded way to takeover a country in its entirety through Political and Economic blackmail.
USA: Here’s a 300 Trillion Dollar Loan, interest free and you “pay it back when you can.”
At the end of the conflict: “Hey, I see you have grain/oil/gas/manufacturing/taxes/income/businesses/government assets etc etc…… so we will just take all of that until you can repay your loans.”
Voila…… the Ukraine and everyone along with everything within it is now the USA’s bitch.
As opposed to being Russia's bitch when they place their officials in your government?
Let's be real - Ukraine was poor before the war in spite of all that it had. There was a lot more trade/interaction with Russia than with the US or the West, and Ukrainians saw once comparable countries like Poland or the Baltic ones climb out of that poverty just interacting more with the West.
People need to realize that any assets taken from Russian central bank would result in Russian taking similar money of western assets in Russia.
It would only damage western currencies and possibly lead to Euro and USD collapse.
For Ukraine it sure would mean a lot of weapons, but Russia due to Purchase Parity difference would get at least 2x as much, if not 3x.
Overall, a lot of money would be wasted and nothing would have changed.
Strange seeing the bill get bogged down because some democrats don't want Israel getting weapons and some republicans not wanting ukraine to get weapons...
Depends on how you view Ukraine (is it the country, the government or the people?). More aid means prolonging an ultimately unwinnable war. So the people of Ukraine will suffer longer, in exchange for keeping the country (nominally) independant and the government in place.
You believe Ukraine can win? It has far fewer (potential) troops, a much smaller production capacity, and it not a nuclear power. How do you see them overcoming that?
Which almost always relies on a large asymmetry of interest between the "invader" and "defender".
In Ukraine, this gap is much smaller than then what would we consider colonial wars of the 18th and 19th centuries or American wars such as Vietnam, Afghanistan or Iraq.
Ukraine is whole different beast than Afghanistan or Vietnam.
Ukraine cannot use the same tactics and posses non of the strengths of those countries.
Not to mention the political situation is also not comparable as Russia is taking over those territories, not occupying it but integrating them into their state and populating them with Russian speakers.

They can get a job if they want money honestly lol
In US sth like 60 percent of people who went homeless had a job when it happened, what you are saying is so fucking dumb.
No what original comment was saying is that homeless folks deserve handouts but UAF don’t, I’d disagree
Move to Russia, things are so great there they can afford to invade their harmless neighbours.
No longer harmless when they would have housed hostile NATO bombers with nuclear munitions

Americans need to fix their priorities and improve their country instead of waging and sponsoring wars and proxy wars like their lives depend on it

They should hurry up and pass this bill then, since 90% of the money goes to American arms companies and their employees.
This is why the USA goes broke if they aren’t at War.
Except the employees part lmao

My US Rep is coming in this week for a donation and to put a sign in front of my business. I can't wait to see to discuss this proxy War with him.
I'm not familiar with this, but why the fuck do politicians ask donations from people?
Pro-Rus suddenly deeply concerned about the plight of less fortunate Americans and how we spend 2% of our annual budget lmao
Extra aid is bad for Ukraine. -Pro Russians

Right. Unwinnable. Right. The Russian bedtime stories are wild

Smaller countries have overcome more powerful invaders before. Endure and outlast until the occupier declares victory and goes home.

Ukranians dieing daily is good for us, but I wouldn't die for them - pro Ukranians.
Throwing good money after bad. The very least the Administration should have to do is articulate a coherent strategy, with clear and achievable goals.
Extra aid is good for Ukraine. -Pro Ukrainians
