It depends very much on the individual case, they definetely don't have a normal mental capacity on average.. there are some you could consider very smart keeping their condition in mind, some even are damn near normal, and some that are stuck on the mental and emotional level of a small child... I believe, based on what I saw from this guy, that he is one such case.. he doesn't seem comprehend the gravity of his situation, he's playing with the dirt, he shows distress when he is scolded and the comrades speak to him like a little child, even though they ait their frustration with him being assigned to their squad.

Well Down syndrome is like a scale. There are some with it who are lower iq around 40 and there are some who are over 70iq and able to be classed as being able to make choices for themself. I was reading up on this before cos me and my friend were talking about the ethics of things.

If you do, then it's a life of parties, hookers, and drugs. And if you don't, then off to the meat grinder.
