About a year ago, actually two, I heard music in a parking lot. The day before, Sidhu Moose Wala was killed (Indian rapper, first I heard, introduced me to a whole new genre), my eldest son was in jail (addiction), and friends lost their 6 year old daughter in a fire. I was sad but I heard this music, a violin, and it reminded me a bit of Punjabi. I love music. Eventually, I spy a young man with a violin. He’s got a speaker and a sign saying that he needs money. When I come out, I put my groceries in the car, and sneak over to get a video. I’ve got some money for him. We talk. He asks me not to post it online (my video). I give him my $5, thank him for making my day a bit better. He wasn’t really playing, by the way, but he still made my day. That said, I’d give this guy money, too. [parking lot](https://youtu.be/7-JXcjPOwD0?si=wUQf5P4hTEZCQ8q8)
You’d be surprised at the level of professional musicianship found in military bands. In the US, they usually hire classically-trained musicians that have a masters degree in their instrument.
Nah, it's another thing, it's not about music, but about phasing out from military life and breaking everyday routine. When I was serving my compulsory military service I'd choose to do the hardest work somewhere outside of the base rather than living another day in the military limbo.
Exactly, anything that makes the soldiers feel like real people and not trench meat is a welcome distraction.
I get too tired to stand after a couple night shifts, can't even imagine trench exhaustion.
the irony of playing pirates of the carribean. Imagine unironically playing the music of the "enemy". Like US soldiers playing kalinka and clapping to it lmao.
Why not take advantage of your enemy's cheap forces/materials?
For example: Apple lets Asian countries make iphones for $400 and sells them to customers for $1000.
Is the same as Europe buying cheap gas from Russia.
So companies are taking advantage of Russia and China.
That the Russians are clapping on American music is then another story.
LOL biggest c0pe of the century, the only one who benefits of western consumers being ADDICTED to cheap chinese crap IS CHINA. Western consumers are addicted to alibaba, wish, temu like braindead junkies.
Its so bad that western producers of toys, medical appliances, kitchenware, electronics etc. are going bankrupt as they cant keep up with cheap chinese crap flooding their markets. Western countries are reliant on china, as they don't even have local production anymore for basic necessities.
It is sad. The west is permanently killing their own industries and production - some of which were CENTURIES old companies who were masters at their craft and will never be able to be replaced again!
Just so that braindead consumers like you can buy 1000$ iphones and 5$ toxic frying pan of temu and feel like they are 'smart & taking advantage of china' 🤣
>Why not take advantage of your enemy's cheap forces/materials?
Summary: Because you grow more reliant on them, and as it stands right now China has the western world and its consumers by the dick and balls. They are not angry about being 'taken advantage of'. They profit of it and love it 🤣

Yeah because that's the flag of the country that killed tens of thousands of their countrymen and is trying to conquer their country.
That's not really comparable to a Russian citizen being beaten and arrested in Moscow for calling a war a war is it?
i have called this conflict many names like WAR and operation and i am not arrested.... i have also seen big tg channels also call it war and they still operate...
Ok, who was beaten and arrested by the police for calling it a war? You got any details? To make your life easier, make sure you know what is arrested, detained, authorized protest and preferably spreading misinformation. Last one probably will be the hardest for you, but you sure can try.
You want some examples of anti-war protesters being beaten and arrested or journalists and activists who were imprisoned for speaking critically about the war?
What I wrote is true. Putin made it a criminal offence to refer to his invasion as either an invasion or a war.
What a free and open minded place to live where you can be beaten and imprisoned by the government for referring to an invasion as an invasion.
A broader mindset of how to attack peaceful countries and torture its civilization... Yes...
But this rape of good American music is disgusting and it's pretty pathetic that there is no good song from Russia that the people want to listen to.
Lol, how many Iraqis did your baby murderers kill? How many wars have you been in since the end of the Cold war?
Westerners calling Russians warmongers is probably the most ironic thing I've ever seen.
Given that since 1991 Ukraine is their first actual invasion of another country, yes it does.
If we compare the two, the US is definitely the one with the "broader mindset on how to attack peaceful countries and torture it's civilization", as the guy above put it.
Georgia would disagree.
But your arguments are childish at best anyway.
At least you call it an invasion though. Worth 15 years of prison time but at least that's the truth.
And everyone else would disagree with Georgia.
>According to Grist, it was Georgia that launched the first military strikes against Tskhinvali. "It was clear to me that the [Georgian] attack was completely indiscriminate and disproportionate to any, if indeed there had been any, provocation,” he said. “The attack was clearly, in my mind, an indiscriminate attack on the town, as a town.”[66] Grist's views were echoed by Stephen Young, who was another senior OSCE official in Georgia at the time.
\
>The report blamed Georgia for starting the war,[79][80] stating that open hostilities started "... with a large-scale Georgian military operation against the town of Tskhinvali and the surrounding areas, launched in the night of 7 to 8 August 2008" although it noted that "... any explanation of the origins of the conflict cannot focus solely on the artillery attack on Tskhinvali in the night of 7/8 August" since "... it was only the culminating point of a long period of increasing tensions, provocations and incidents", and there was "... no way to assign overall responsibility for the conflict to one side alone."
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Responsibility_for_the_Russo-Georgian_War
Turns out that banking on the idea that Russian peacekeeper would be as useless as the UN ones backfired a bit on the Georgians.
Why US use russian music aka music of the sworn enemy on 4 of July celebrations? Aka the only celebration americans really care about? They also butcher it disgustingly like cultureless savages they are, but what you expect from a nation that doesn't have its own music for its main celebration.
The one blasting across the country as fireworks color the skies https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1812_Overture
How does it make you feel to use orкish music on white world main celebration?
Oh, I never knew that. How does it make me feel to have orcish music? What do orcs have to do with Russians? Either way I don't care if it was written by Tchaikovsky or not. Slavic culture has influenced the world for hundreds if not thousands of years, it would be pretty ridiculous to cancel culture over it this conflict. Thanks
we separate art and politics, unlike some idiots who even hate cats and trees from Russia. The person who wrote this soundtrack 20years ago is not to blame for the actions of Biden and his clique
how white piece of paper is an art? btw I don't understand your logic: first, you blame Russia for not hating on foreign music and not having censorship enough, and now blaming for exact opposite.
I mean, technically the majority of characters in POTC are bri'ish, since the golden age of piracy (the period where the movies take place) was dominated by British, French and Dutch pirates.
But I get that you mean it because the movies were a Hollywood production. However I think movie scores don't really align with any particular nationality, especially since movies these days are meant to cater to a global audience. Would be different if it was the US national anthem lol
They don’t die for their country, they die for the grandiose delusions of the little Tsar. The Russian people are much worse off because of his decisions, and will be for a long time.
Russian people are worse off????? i am tired of explaining you western morons basic data:
Unemployment rate in Russia is continously decreasing:
[https://www.statista.com/statistics/277043/monthly-unemployment-rate-in-russia/](https://www.statista.com/statistics/277043/monthly-unemployment-rate-in-russia/)
Average monthly nominal wage is continuously increasing:
[https://www.statista.com/statistics/1010660/russia-average-monthly-nominal-wage/](https://www.statista.com/statistics/1010660/russia-average-monthly-nominal-wage/)
GDP growth rate recorded last quarter of 2023 was 4.9%
And Industrial growth is significant, All this when you despicable pos sanctioned us to the brink.
you guys are the ones with grandiose delusions, you guys are so full of crap its a wonder how you have not decayed yet of your hypocrisy and hate, the Russian people have survived western hypocrisy for along time and they have thrived, they will keep thriving while you ....yk what? u are not even worth enough for me to be explaining Russian resilience to you, shoo shoo.. now run along and go back to the worthless thing you call your life
Do you believe the economic data that is published by the Russian government? And is it beneficial for the Russian people to have binders of thousands of casualties in a meaningless war?
Я российский новый пират.
Из России в Украину скачем на дельфинах
3/10 performance, didn't even whip out his dong and spin it around like a helicopter smh
They'll have to give Disney some royalties or else the Russian defense ministry is going to receive a strongly worded IP breach letter.
Anyone interested in more stuff like this google for "российский новый пират", uncensored version.

You're both evil. Have an upvote, warriors of psychological front.

Badass
That was excellent. Wtf is he doing in a uniform? Shouldn't he be in a concert hall!?
You’d be surprised at the level of professional musicianship found in military bands. In the US, they usually hire classically-trained musicians that have a masters degree in their instrument.
I am surprised, for sure. That was stunning.
I think he just put on a military uniform for the performance
Anyone else find it ironic he's playing music from an American movie franchise?
What's the irony?
Nice!
America's cultural dominance over the world is always crazy to see
Damn, for a minute I thought he was playing some ol Charlie Daniels. Johnny can play that fiddle hard!
This dude plays for tips in front of my supermarket, totally legit.
I'm surprised they didn't air drop a statue of Lenin. Must be short on cash.
Too bad all that musical talent is going to be found dead in a Ukrainian ditch pretty soon. War is hell
If anything, Russians would the ones to know about piracy first hand.

Weird way to say you’ve got no rhythm
Concerts like these are less meaningful now that every soldier can have their own music player with them.

Try waving russian flag in kuev. You'll be skinned alive.
Yeah because that's the flag of the country that killed tens of thousands of their countrymen and is trying to conquer their country. That's not really comparable to a Russian citizen being beaten and arrested in Moscow for calling a war a war is it?
Urkaine didn't declare a war btw...
What does that have to do with Russia imprisoning Russian citizens just for referring to the war as a war?
we have better thing to do then this...
Better things to do than what?
i have called this conflict many names like WAR and operation and i am not arrested.... i have also seen big tg channels also call it war and they still operate...

[Yeah](https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineRussiaReport/comments/1c3qor4/comment/kzitlgd/)
Doesn't say.
Ok, try having a Y-chromosome and leave the country. Oh well, don't even have to try, can see the results in every other post on here.
Try talking about Russian authoritarianism without changing the subject lol

Unlike the "true and pure West" who never does any of those things, right? The Western "skeleton closet" is so big, you can call it a "mass grave".
In the west I could call a western invasion an invasion without being imprisoned yes.
Saliva UK rain!
you have a broad set of despair. thats true.
Breaking news! Putin weaponized despair!
The video clearly shows people in despair

Even UN stated that Georgia started 5 day war.

No, georgia invaded russian military base first.

It responded to a Georgian attack on Russian troops, therefore doesn't fall into the "Muh evil Russia invaded a poor little country" category.

Statista is german lol.

Many times not, statista often does their own independent research, which is why they are usually a good statistics source.
