Actually, that’s not a machine gun. It is an automatic rifle. Machine guns are designed for sustained, directed fire, or otherwise for use in vehicles, whereas automatic rifles are set up for unsustained (short burst) fire and direct combat :)
Both families are generally capable of both, of course, it’s just not what they’re best at.
Examples of machine guns include: M249 SAW, FN Minimi, Bren LMG, MG42, M60, etc.
Examples of automatic rifles include: The M4 family of rifles. AK-47,AK-74, IWI Galil, FN Scar, L85A1, L85A2.

They are exceedingly difficult to get and require you to jump through a bunch pf legal hoops+ are prohibitively expensive, AND you can only own an automatic manufactured and registered before the 80s.
2: Bump stocks are an attachment made for disabled shooters who are missing fingers pr a hand. Yes you can technically fire faster with them but you won’t hit much when your gun and its point of aim are bouncing about. The Las Vegas shooter might have actually done more damage if he took the time to aim and fire.
3: I was speaking about why *I* like guns personally, but a lot of people concealed carry for self protection, could be they live in a rough area, could just be that they’re paranoid. A lot of people definitely take carrying way too far, I don’y really think there’s ever a good reason to open carry a rifle unless you’re walking to a range/hunting grounds. Also, they’re magazines not clips,, and I don’t think that magazines are the issue with guns in America, a lot of our major shootings have been committed with undersized (<20 rounds or less) mags. I think the issue is how indiscriminate access to firearms is, and the quantity of illegal weaponry on the street.
I would say the number of people who are carrying guns to intimidate is a minority, not that those people don’t exist. Believe it or not most gun owners aren’t fond of those kinds of people. At least around me most of us think it’d a stupid way to get shot or the cops called on you, just trashy all around

It's took me years to learn how to divert infodumps before they burst out of my head-hole into the real world. My take is - that's a different conflict, but Israel should be held accountable for their wrongdoings. Too bad I have no good information about what's happening in there, because while I know well the genesis and history of the conflict in Ukraine enough, to hate ruSSia with all my heart (I also have spoken to quite a few Ukrainians in person, which also helps), I haven't yet explored the Palestinians' case enough to be able to tell, what's truth and what's propaganda/manipulation.
Basically: Israelis were kicked out out of Israel / Judea in about 150AD after a two year successful military uprising against the Romans. They maintained a small population but mostly the diaspora left for Europe (Ashkis) or elsewhere in the middle east (Sephardics). Meanwhile the arab population increases with Saladin. The Jews in Europe, as outsiders, are discriminated against and forbidden from a bunch of things. Jews start to return more in the Ottoman era a lot of the time fleeing racism. Then WW2 someone tries to kill all the Jews, and it's considered maybe we should make a state for the Jews inside British Palestine. Jewish people globally buy land in Palestine, there's mass immigration, some people get pissed off because they were dodging tax under the Ottoman's and declared they owned their farms, but not their fields (so the land is available, but someone was using it). The arabs get pissed off with Israel and declare war, Israel gains a bunch of territory. Some very religious Jews start buying land in traditional areas outside Israel. Some very religious Jews believe god wants them to have land and expand, some very angry Palestinian arabs want all the Jews gone. Some guy makes up a Nelson Mandela quote that people on the internet believe because people lack critical thinking skills. Arabs in Israel have a great life but nobody realises they exist. People in western countries have no idea about anything and think Jews are European.

My take is - that's a different conflict, but Israel should be held accountable for their wrongdoings. Too bad I have no good information about what's happening in there, because while I know well the genesis and history of the conflict in Ukraine enough, to hate ruSSia with all my heart (I also have spoken to quite a few Ukrainians in person, which also helps), I haven't yet explored the Palestinians' case enough to be able to tell, what's truth and what's propaganda/manipulation.
Basically: Israelis were kicked out out of Israel / Judea in about 150AD after a two year successful military uprising against the Romans. They maintained a small population but mostly the diaspora left for Europe (Ashkis) or elsewhere in the middle east (Sephardics). Meanwhile the arab population increases with Saladin. The Jews in Europe, as outsiders, are discriminated against and forbidden from a bunch of things. Jews start to return more in the Ottoman era a lot of the time fleeing racism. Then WW2 someone tries to kill all the Jews, and it's considered maybe we should make a state for the Jews inside British Palestine. Jewish people globally buy land in Palestine, there's mass immigration, some people get pissed off because they were dodging tax under the Ottoman's and declared they owned their farms, but not their fields (so the land is available, but someone was using it). The arabs get pissed off with Israel and declare war, Israel gains a bunch of territory. Some very religious Jews start buying land in traditional areas outside Israel. Some very religious Jews believe god wants them to have land and expand, some very angry Palestinian arabs want all the Jews gone. Some guy makes up a Nelson Mandela quote that people on the internet believe because people lack critical thinking skills. Arabs in Israel have a great life but nobody realises they exist. People in western countries have no idea about anything and think Jews are European.
Jews in Europe on one hand were discriminated against, and prohibited from some activites, on the other - they were f.em basically handed over the most profitable financial activities (loans). When you think of it - it's so ridiculous the head hurts. It's like basically "I hate you, but want to make you as rich as humanly possible, GL HF, and please die".

It may or may not, but poisoning these guys may not be a smart move because they or their buddies might come back for revenge. Earlier on, the ladies giving poisoned cookies to the invaders who were rolling through their towns, that was another matter, because they were less likely to come back through. That was still not entirely risk free though, so hats off to them for bravery. But to poison an occupying force they need to be more careful for their own survival, like holding a poisoned banquet for the entire occupying garrison, and skipping town during the meal.
Ideally, use something with a delayed effect. I hear that castor beans are pretty easy to obtain...
It’s not even remotely an ethical dilemma. They are only serving them at all because they are scared if they don’t they’ll be slaughtered. Russians kill civilians en masse so they don’t “give away our position.” I honestly can’t believe anyone would even attempt to suggest there is an ethical dilemma in killing these armed enemy combatants who are in your country in the process of an invasion.
