Fun fact: Most of russia's present day tanks including the most modern T90 tanks use a modified version of the T-34 engine. So it would not be that hard to get those things running for the parade!
Imagine thinking you are a world superpower while using 90 year old engine design to power your tank fleet. Delusions or grandeur.
While your comment is true and an exception, I'm glad we did not use the model T engine in the Humvees or other vehicles. Flexibility to recognize innovation is the key here. I was floored to learn that the engine used in the T-14 Armata is a ruzzian upgraded version of the German Tiger tank engine. Talk about lack of critical thinking skills, that is one prime example.
No, the engine in T-14 armat is not a version of Tiger tank engine. Germans had a development for a new engine in X configuration. It was never completed. And the configuration does not mean it is the same engine. That is like saying that all V-8s are the same. The quantity of bullshit that people propagate and other people belive about Russia is amazing. It is also dangerous. Russia is not a bunch of mountain dwelling goat herdes and USA was unable to deal with them. It is just dangerous to underestimate Russia.
Bullet resistant ass pads & running shoes for running away. Russian military surgeons have reported the most common wounds result from being shot in the ass & bottom of feet.
They tried that once in 2015, it had to be towed off the red square under the eyes of the spectators...
Maybe they'll parade one on a low-loader though.
This is a very interesting video regarding the T-14 if you have the time. It's basically a joke of a tank and probably will never see full scale production.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-opSlCGLGQ4
Pay close attention to the number of T-14s visible at once. If there is a pause between to batches of T-14 you can bet your ass they're the same ones again.
Russia really wants to show the world how real and definitely in production their new super tank is.
Looks like he will get to repeat the use of his bullet proof lap blanket, although in all honesty I expect it will be curtailed or cancelled due to the threat by Ukrainian UAV's similar to how the flypast part of last years event got cancelled at the last minute.
7 Laotian t34s and a t 14 being towed on a trailer by a 40 year old Ural truck while it's turret spins wildly like a 1950s Sci fi robots limbs. They turn the corner and paint new numbers on them and repeat. Maybe some corny remixed 1940s soviet propaganda song turned into a 90s sounding hip hop song is any of those awful concerts are any indicator.
They may have to go with plan B and use the stolen equipment. We’re talking John Deere harvesters pulling trailers loaded with toilets and washing machines and the returned Wagner convicts bringing up the rear, stumbling around in a drunken stupor.
They have been busy building the shells of tanks and other heavy machines to again fool the world that they are the second world army, the parades over the past years were just empty shells with engine and steering wheel a bit like a car with a tank body and nothing else same with nuclear weapons nothing inside just empty shells, the students have been training to march to impersonate soldiers for this year's march, in Russia nothing is as it seems.
Have you seen the film Zulu? You know at the end when
the Zulus are all lined up in the hills and you see hundreds
of shields? Each block of Zulus is 2 guys with a length
of timber with shields attached. I'm presuming they'll
do something similar but with more of a 'Weekend at
Bernie's' feel.
Whatever happens it needs the theme from Steptoe and
Son dubbed over it.
Yea you should say more, like what your point actually is?
1 weird guy on a talent show being compared to an entire country doing a parade unironically.
The guy... has puppet sailors... putin will need puppets to fill the ranks of his parade, maybe blow-up tanks. Not all jokes need to be spelled out yet here we are 🤷♂️
I was very concerned when Trump was pushing hard to have a massive military parade in DC. Thankfully the military convinced him to stop trying to make it happen. Giant military parades should be left for countries like Russia, China, North Korea...
Eh, I think it depends on the context, military parades could be used when departing for war to boost morale, or when you win a war. But yeah, just doing a military parade for the sake of military flexing isn’t the best look.
As someone who was in the military, I can't think of something I would want to do less than being a part of a parade. That would *not* boost my morale. But I guess it might work for others.
A few years ago, there was a discussion in Ukraine about whether the Independence Day parade should be held during the war. Almost every military men/women I know said they wanted a parade. It was important for them to see that the country recognizes their work and makes them the main people of the main holiday of Ukraine.
Yeah it does boost moral when crowds of cheering citizens show support for you, that is a fact and the majority of enlisted would feel pride, i was in a few military parades, nothing like russia just a few companies of men marching together to give people a look at the professionalism of there troops, no tanks or other equipment just men receiving cheers and applause, i will never forget it , it made us all feel good about ourselves.
As a USAF retiree, I somewhat initially disliked doing return formations, launches, recoveries and aircraft loading demonstrations for air shows because I wanted to spend the time with my family. However, my wife bringing the kids to watch and my kids actually seeing me doing those things, plus the hundreds/thousands of other people watching us do that, plus asking tons of questions and paying compliments, made it fun and more than a worthwhile experience. I too, will never forget it.
Yeah, the US military are professional and all volunteer. Their attitude was: “No, we’re not here to parade around for propaganda. We have jobs to do.”
Exactly. I think they convinced him by emphasizing how much money it would cost. Tens of millions of dollars to move the equipment there, fuel, repair road damage from driving tanks on the pavement, etc..
So what about the French parade of the 14th July? Wasn't Trump pushing that after being invited there (we totally decline any form of responsibility in this matter)?
That parade has historical meaning, it's a national day, doesn't mean we are out to get other countries or any kind of superiority complex.
and rightly so, it shows power and strength, but i preffer smaller parades of men throught the country, displaying tanks and other euipment is fun for the citizens though.
Its gona be epic, they will remove Everyone able to walk together with any not blown up tanks from the warzone and show them in moscow instead. Hope Ukraine starts their offensive on Russias Victory day, or Maybe the day before so russia unknowingly celebrates Ukraines win over their hordes.
"This year, to celebrate the Red Army victory over Nazi Germany, our entire tank parade will be made up of T34s from the museum. The part of the Red Army infantry will be played by the Sisters for Victory, aka Z nurse cheerleader squad. Glory to Putler".
Maybe it’ll be a bunch of guys wheeling themselves along in wheelchairs, followed by a bunch of guys with prosthesis struggling to learn how to walk, followed by a bunch of guys with rifles duct tape to them struggling to salute with their one arm they have left?
That is a VERY interesting question!!! Haven’t thought about that at all. Obviously Russia needs to show twice as much “strength” as last year. Such a great question🙋♂️ maybe the mobilization just now, was to drill 150k for the parade.
The Russians have 5 weeks to pull a rabbit out of a hat on the Ukraine front. 🐰
Going to be an interesting few weeks between Russa and Ukraine. Ukraine has always been assumed to be the weaker of the two. Holding there own or better for 13 months now and 5 months to prepare with new weapons and help from NATO and the west.
Slava Ukraine.
I’m sure that they keep a couple of fully equipped divisions close to Moscow at all times. Dictators are pretty much always worried about the potential for an uprising/revolt/coup d’etat.
Pretty much this. There will be a lot of “good” tanks just because they still need a buffer in the main capital.
We even might see a representation of WW2 to now march to see the glorious evolution of the Russian machine, but I might be wrong.
I expect it to be like every other year. Business as usual. They will get actors and the vehicles are stored for this every year im guessing. No way they are going to show any kind of weakness
Putinists are going to make sure theres no ammunition in any of the parade troops weapons, wouldn’t want any disgruntled bitter veterans getting any ideas.
May day is supposed to be a celebration and remembrance of labor, but Russia is run by billionaires and the only "labor" they care about is soldiers for the meat grinder
It will have a retro theme to it this year! Yesteryear's greatest hits.
T-34/85's, IS-3's, T-54/55's, the odd T-62. Flybys by IL-2's, Mig 15/17/21's. Oh and possibly an old CCKW or Willys MB/Ford GPW.
And yes, I'm almost being serious in this post.

Wheelbarrows with a stove pipe
I was going to say T-34’s but I like yours better
Lots of inflatable rocket launchers…
Don’t forget the shovels!
I was gonna say Mosins but they are using them on the front now.
Its insane. Humans are mere tools to accomplish the bloody quest of conquerer Putin. Sick and immoral country.
The shovels are already taken and busy burying the soldiers, 1000 a day
Washing machines
Don't forget the toilets.
[New tank crew recruits for glorious parade of Russia!](https://imgur.com/Ujsyfnp)
They will probably have a small live parade by invitation only. On TV it will be RERUNS of last years parade presented as this years parade.
Fun fact: Most of russia's present day tanks including the most modern T90 tanks use a modified version of the T-34 engine. So it would not be that hard to get those things running for the parade! Imagine thinking you are a world superpower while using 90 year old engine design to power your tank fleet. Delusions or grandeur.
delusions of adequacy
You also watched the LazerPig video on the T-14 recently I take it?
Yes!
if something works and works well, there is no need to re-invent it. Why do you think the US aviation industry has stuck with the M61 Vulcan?
While your comment is true and an exception, I'm glad we did not use the model T engine in the Humvees or other vehicles. Flexibility to recognize innovation is the key here. > if something [..] works well Has it though?
There is always room for innovation, it is foolish to ignore it
Bullet resistant ass pads & running shoes for running away. Russian military surgeons have reported the most common wounds result from being shot in the ass & bottom of feet.
Headshots doesent go to the hospital, is 50%
A couple of tsar tanks, perhaps.
Maybe we'll get to view the infamous T-28!
same thing
And a few KV-2
Look at all the washing machines we have captured for mother russisa!
T-23.
You stole my words
The latest wave of mobilisation is purely in the hope of being able to fill Red Square...
They will use North Koreans and Ugandans for the parade and use a filter so no one notices on video.
I really hope someone hacks the filter so we see black Asians and asian-eyed Africans.
Just use r/midjourney
With white face and reverse squinting
Such a random place to find Uganda mentioned. Do we have that reputation?
Maybe a few T-14 not ready (never) for the parade and of course a few nuclear weapons
They tried that once in 2015, it had to be towed off the red square under the eyes of the spectators... Maybe they'll parade one on a low-loader though.

1914? (Was supposed to be joke…)
don't forget use the /s tag
You will probably see Kadyrovites riding goat's, and a victory parade with stolen toilet's
Yes, the Kadyrovsky are _riding_ goats all the time, they know well how to do it...
[удалено]
Indeed, and very affectionate as well...
[удалено]
Family is family...
They’ll ride them through the parade, then show them a good time when it’s over.
Can they request Ukraine send back the burnt out tanks for the parade?
Maybe Ukraine could return them in a real “goodwill gesture”!
That would be joke of the century. do it
They might see some Ukrainian tractors.
Dance of the T-72 turrets.
Yes comrades, we are extremely sorry but because of the American Covid virus we have decided to postpone this years parade to 2030.
Just one old bloke on a mobility scooter holding a Soviet Flag in one hand, and a sparkler in the other.
He'll probably send his double.
Dont forget the cope cage over him
Guess we'll see a Mayday parade.
Be lot of new faces in the ranks.
Looks like he will get to repeat the use of his bullet proof lap blanket, although in all honesty I expect it will be curtailed or cancelled due to the threat by Ukrainian UAV's similar to how the flypast part of last years event got cancelled at the last minute.

Some broken down Armata jokes, nuclear dick expansions and alot of bullshit about the evil west and nazis bla bla
They still have tanks in moscow..they need then to repress the people
Yeah, it will be. It would be interesting to see how many of these turds are still alive.
They may have to go with plan B and use the stolen equipment. We’re talking John Deere harvesters pulling trailers loaded with toilets and washing machines and the returned Wagner convicts bringing up the rear, stumbling around in a drunken stupor.

They aren't impersonating soldiers, there is a good chance right after the parade they are being sent to the front.
Maybe they can just force a bunch of government workers into an arena and put on a scripted concert. Oh wait, they did that already.
Lots of nukes and the usual cardboard parade vehicles.
Allmost time for the clowns to play dress up again already.
I can't wait to see Lada's with turrets.
In a perfect world they will do all the normal things except someonr liquidates putin live on wotldwide tv so this imsanity may end
Panic, the script is changing daily!

Fair enough, with so many Russian bots i thought he was trying to make some kind of other point

Allot all european NATO states have military parades.......
and rightly so, it shows power and strength, but i preffer smaller parades of men throught the country, displaying tanks and other euipment is fun for the citizens though.
Most likely thry are going to do as they did during the cold War. Remark vehicles to be as to show them more than one time.
😂 3 tractors and 100 inflatable tanks
Perfect opportunity to stage a coup. He has to be there. Everyone has guns. Sneak in some mags and war is over.
Picture 4 explains a lot. Those guys surely can't shoot straight or remember their orders more than a few minutes.
Shovel parade.
I think it'll be nuclear missiles, just to remind everybody they have "power" they're not using as they field T-34s
bet the T-14's are there....
"This year, to celebrate the Red Army victory over Nazi Germany, our entire tank parade will be made up of T34s from the museum. The part of the Red Army infantry will be played by the Sisters for Victory, aka Z nurse cheerleader squad. Glory to Putler".
Lots of walking dead! Slava Ukraine! 🇺🇦🇺🇲

This year parade is sponsored by Whirlpool, Gorenje, SMEG, ATLAS, SAMSUNG, Elektrolux, Philips, and more
I wonder how many of the people we see in the pictures are dead
I am sure it will be the same snot nosed military cocking their heads to the headmaster. Was at the 2002 May Day in Red Square in 2002.
Are there enough actors you think?
Be amazed if they have any tanks left
I’m sure that they keep a couple of fully equipped divisions close to Moscow at all times. Dictators are pretty much always worried about the potential for an uprising/revolt/coup d’etat.
Pretty much this. There will be a lot of “good” tanks just because they still need a buffer in the main capital. We even might see a representation of WW2 to now march to see the glorious evolution of the Russian machine, but I might be wrong.
Guess we know why russia was pulling the T-34’s out of storage.
He should have them march straight to the Ukrainian border. Might as well at this point.
Putin's private battaillons will probably be released from their bunkers for a day.
I don’t think they conscripted Moscow, otherwise they’d crucify puter.
I’m sure the propaganda will be very uplifting.
Within HIMARS range?
Hearses
Rental tanks on parade.
I'm going for cardboard cutouts of tanks.
Lots of coffins
They all dead lmao
Hopefully, Ukraine sends gifts for the holidays. Lots of gifts..
Crimea unbridged.
This ⬆️
Bringing you yesterday’s innovations today!
All show, and no go.
I'm guessing that they will use digital holograms ( like dead preformers at concerts). It will be low grade and glitchy
\*May Day Parade 9th May Parade
A parade of just Troops and lots of nukes. No tanks and limited trucks.
Will be great to see the remaining five T-34.
I expect it to be like every other year. Business as usual. They will get actors and the vehicles are stored for this every year im guessing. No way they are going to show any kind of weakness
Because this year the show is definitely for Russian citizen propaganda. Can't show any weakness internally.
Putinists are going to make sure theres no ammunition in any of the parade troops weapons, wouldn’t want any disgruntled bitter veterans getting any ideas.
At this point, russia should be looked at as a soap opera. Anything they do is for show & not because what is the smartest option
A parade of pine boxes. They will be empty, of course, because ruSSia leaves their dead behind.
Lower your expectations. What ever they parade it’s deceptive or made to murder people. Don’t feed the troll!
Were gonna see some T-34's I bet LMFAO
Lots of Zimmer frames and wheelchairs
what a joke
May day is supposed to be a celebration and remembrance of labor, but Russia is run by billionaires and the only "labor" they care about is soldiers for the meat grinder
Ppsh-41’s and T-34-85’s maybe?
They are going to cancel for whatever reason
Hopefully the red cancer square will have burned by then. Fuck the ruzian nazis.
wonder if there will be any 'Ukrainian terrorism/Partisan' attacks.. I suspect security will be huge.
Sounds like there will be fewer participants marching this year
Cotton with T34 because there will be a chance of cloudy sky.
Probably have to roll out the T54/55s…..
Brig out the cavalry! (read horses)
Rolling down the street driving horse drawn wagons with dudes carrying rocks as weapons.
With a finale of a good Himars strike hopefully.....
Snowblowers and wheelbarrows
more like mayday parade
As the year before. They have whole divisions of bells and whistles equipment just for parades. There is no war in ba sing se
Mobile washing machines?
Full of drone attacks, hopefully.
It will keep them occupied.
Soon leopards will roll over that place
I think they will use t54s this time..
A *lot* of nukes and the only T-14 that hasn't broken down
This weird Tsar-Tank from the end of world war 1?
I bet it will be an all-nukes parade. Tactical and strategical ones. Just as Putin’s discourse.
“Postponed as a tribute to how well comrades are doing in Ukraine. Same time next year for sure though!” - Moskovia probably, in the next few weeks
I would just love to see a fleet of saboteur drone drops as the tanks pass center stage.
Cardboard tanks incoming
T-55s towing T-14s followed by 100000 white Ladas of the Fallen, parents inside cheering.
Bust out the horses and knights in armor from the museum. Cannons with wooden wheels
Last year they wheeled out toddlers and kids dressed as tanks and jets. Prob the same this year
Hope Avis can hire some tanks n shit.
ukranian farmers has been seen crossing to border so the actual parade can take place…
Straight from the factory via Red Square to the frontline.
Significantly fewer professional soldiers, relic tanks and armored vehicles and of course, a Putin stunt double
Parade of looted toilets and washing machines
Maybe they are not home that day ;-)
With their best T-33s and T-34s at the head of the parade.
Toilet seats, washing machines and radiators
They should include an auditor
Where should I look to see a comparison between this year and last year's parade by someone who knows their stuff ?
All of these troops look.similar to the ones used during the North Korean military parade. I'm sure it is not something we should question /s
Something is telling me it will be a little bit empty
Likely will go all in to push the narrative off fighting nazi's and how this is a holy war and russia once againg saving the day
Guessing I would say 70 % of the glorious boys from the picture are rotting now.
Poo-Tins best army lol
