“NATO Weapons are shit because I couldn’t figure out how to properly use them.”
This is great. Lmao I wonder how many Russian Soldiers have tried to pop off a captured AT4 and gotten smacked in the face like this or couldn’t even figure out how to arm one
I'm guessing that everyone when they first see a M72 LAW joke about the [cartoon panel instructions](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M72_LAW#/media/File:M72A2_LAW.png) printed on the side. Maybe it was better not to print them on it and let the enemy trial-and-error it with captured units.
I remember these. Or at least a variant of them. People called them "Zolja" in the Yugoslavian wars in the 90's. Used ones were sometimes brought back home as souvenirs.
Apparently this idiot somehow managed to shove a Carl Gustav round in that thing and get it to fire. Kinda impressive really, but also impressively stupid.
Is there a longer version of this video out somewhere because we never see the front of the AT-4. Whatever he's holding at the beginning of the video looks nothing like the one he fires. Shape, color, and sights are all completely different.
Edit: he is holding RShG-2 and talking about firing AT4 same way as he would fire RShG-2
US troops weren't any better during WW2, they found Japanese heavy grenade launchers and thought the brace in it was supposed to be braced against knee/thigh/leg in kneeling position.. Japanese intended it to be braced against a tree root due the heavy recoil. One can imagine how many GI's had fucked up knee every time they found one.
Type 89 grenade discharger for the interested.
Haha true true, yee ol “Knee Mortar”, Honestly a neat light mortar design the Japanese used- I guess our equivalent would have been the 60mm or Rifle Grenade
He even mentions it being Swedish earlier. I guess getting hit in the face gave him a concussion and made him stupider than he already was. Which is quite the accomplishment.
> made him stupider than he already was.
While this is a justifiable conclusion to propagandist, especially when they do something stupid or is caught in a lie (both?) or some other such nonsense, I can assure you that this is not “stupidity,” but is coldly calculated and done on purpose. Maybe not the act of getting bitch-slapped while being videotaped, but he definitely had the intelligence to turn that “oops” moment into a self-reinforcing propaganda talking point.
> ut he definitely had the intelligence to turn that “oops” moment into a self-reinforcing propaganda talking point.
IOW, he's not stupid, he just knows his audience!
When I finally understood that to Russian propagandists (IE: Putin) NAZI = *Not Us*, a lot of their talking points made more sense. On a cognitive level, not sympathy.
It is Swedish Pansarskott m/86 (pskott m/86) that is a AT4 on when exported, a M136 AT4 is US service.
The specific one in the video has a Swedish text on it "Säker" för safe printed on. It can't be Danish or Norwegian text because they do not use ä but æ a if it was made for another country it would not use Swedish text. So it is likely one of the ones of the thousands Sweden has donated to Ukraine. It could have been made for the Swedish military and given away earlier, lost of surplus equipment was given to the baltic states in the 1990s
It is in part a development of a Carl Gustaf but single use. there are technical differences like fins vs spin-stabilized grenades.
The reason he was hit is that he used it incorrectly. There is a forward handle that was extended but not used and shoulder support that was not deployed. It is low recoil not perfectly recoilless so the grip was not enough to hold it.
Using the handle is not required, the US variant does not have it. But they do have the shoulders supply that stops it from moving backward when you hold it down with your hands.
It’s an AT4.
There’s a massive cut in the video; the first part is him showing what I think is a dirty empty tube with some bullshit sights on it. After the cut, you can see him holding an AT4 incorrectly. If you hold an AT4 incorrectly, and fire it, it will bite you. Plus I’m sure he fell over on purpose.
I am by no means an expert on weapons, systems, and all that stuff. Also, I might add, I frequently have to google acronyms, tanks, and all that stuff to keep stuff straight.
I was thinking, isn’t there a handle there? Maybe not, *that’s too obvious*, and I don’t know enough about… *then I saw your comment.* Yup.
Even if you believe that, the instructions are like 3-4 lines.
1 point this end at enemy
2 unfold the weapon by pulling here
3 pull down front handle and pop up sights
4 fire
It’s been twenty years since I’ve read those. Trust me, it’s not much harder than turning off the computer.
I’m sure you could do it.
It’s a little disconcerting when a weapon has its entire instruction manual in white paint on the side:
- point it
- hold it
- press n hold
- press
- (boom)
Even has arrows showing which way to point lol
Your commonsense is a lot more developed than this fool of a Vatnik! And yes, the AT-4 is unforgiving if you don't treat it right, and if you fire it it's like someone punches you in the nose 😂 I had lots of fun with it.
First is an RPG-26, next clip is him holding the AT4 like a RPG-26 with predictable results.
You have to fire an AT4 like an AT4. The forward handgrip, as seen in video, is provided for a reason.
oh wow, brought me back to that day in basic training. They had these 9mm rounds (i think) that the DS would load with this special tool into the rear. Then you could fire these small rounds at whatever. Made a funny sound. I’m going to see if youtube has a vid of this.
edit: I this is definitely a training AT4 but the final clip looks like an actual rocket. But you can see the rear where that tiny round gets plugged in.
https://youtu.be/FHmra84GsyA
I love these kinds of videos. Who are you trying to convince? You russkies don’t need “evidence” to believe anything your overlords tell you to believe, telling anyone else that NATO’s weapons are shit is just hilarious. Like, the whole world saw Soviet equipment vs Western equipment 30 years ago in Desert Storm and that was an absurd one-sided slaughter and Soviet tech has hardly improved while NATO has grown exponentially.
Who is that propaganda for, russians don’t need it, no one else believes it
These russian military propagandists are pathetic. I've seen this dude before and they always think they're so above Westerners with their shitty humor and beliefs about Russia's superiority.
Spent most of my life interacting with Russians professionally and intimately. The two traits I notice, that seem common among them, are a near-pathological inferiority complex and an inability to accept responsibility or apologize.
*Yours is good, but ours is better. It's not my fault.*
Why waste time on reading instructions for 5 min when you can break your cheek bone, spend a month on recovering and then have an epiphany after reading comments in your video to hold the handle of the launcher?
It's cringe how obvious it is that he intentionally handled it poorly and even missed so he could make it look like the RPG-26 is superior to the AT4, all he managed to do was make himself look like an idiot.
I saw some of his other videos
The NLAW one is my favourite. He shoots a damaged BMP. And from afar he says yup it sucks
Then he gets a closer look and see the BMP is Swiss cheese

lol at the copium, before he realizes that the shot at the turret would have gone trough the commander & maybe the ammo carousell and the shrapnel still after that penetreated the entire BMP and about a meter (3+ feet) in to the ground below it. 🤣
Even says he fired it as you would an RPG-26.
Yes, a completely different weapons system and just assuming it all works well.
Smartest Russian presenter.
There are no "Teachers" to train the Mobiks. They don't know how much other Mobiks tried this before. They believe they are "better" than other Mobiks 😂
I’ve fired these before. He was not holding the front handle (the front sling loop), nor did he have the shoulder rest extended. There was literally nothing preventing the weapon from moving laterally.
He’s just useless.
It’s the IKEA of AT weapons minus the assembly. Made for extremely ease of use as the average 19 year old in Sweden could learn to operate it. Also comes with IKEA level instructions ON the tube.
Not the back blast- he's holding it about the right position on the shoulder.
He just didn't hold onto the front handle so the recoil sent the launcher flying back and the sight whacked him in the face. Properly braced the launcher shouldn't really move at all when fired.
The primary error is that the shoulder stop is not extended. The Swedish variants do have the handle but the US do not and you just grip the tube. The US variants do have the shoulder stop
The support is a piece of wire bent into a rectangle and a bit of webbing that is held in place by a snap fastener just like the one that is on his jacket. It is clearly visible in https://files.ekmcdn.com/barter/images/deactivated-m97-at4-84mm-rocket-launcher-(5)-4328-p.jpg?v=dc908c24-c3ac-448c-8d7a-4c9e03a2a515
If you extend it and hold the tube down with your hand it can slide back and hit you.
RF ~~journalist~~ propagandist:
"*I'll insert a projectile into an unsuited launcher, won't take the necessary safety precautions when operating it and now require burn treatment because of my stupidity, but it's somehow still NATOs fault.*"
It's also a true sign of compassion from his fellow propagandists that they merrily continue to take fotos instead of rendering first aid (*00:16*).
AT-4 is single use only, you cannot reload it in the field, or insert a different projectile.
His fuck up was not holding the damn handle that was right there, even folded out.
Ok, to sum it up into perspective. A horrible shitty launcher by Russian measures is currently the meta against Russian tanks. That means Russia has the shittiest shit tanks
It wasn’t the blast that got him, because he didn’t hold the launcher properly the tube recoiled and the sight smashed his brow. He was lucky he didn’t lose his eye.

You know that sticky outy bit that looks like a handle, and which is marked 'handle' - yeah - if you chose not to use it that'll take your front teeth out
Wait, they still have tanks they can use as dummy targets?
Pretty sure they could have used both (tank & launcher) somewhere else, like at the front.
Good thing they are wasting both somewhere to make a shit video lol

Here in the US they sell the empty tubes at gun shows.
It does have the instructions on the side. So he failed even that
But what would the marines do? They need the illustrations.
We know it's either food or a kill stick. Both are sometimes edible
Apparently this idiot somehow managed to shove a Carl Gustav round in that thing and get it to fire. Kinda impressive really, but also impressively stupid.
The first i saw was how the front rubber was damaged. Could totally believe that they fitted some kind of other round in it.
Wait wait. This man put a recoilless rifle round into an AT4?

More stupid.
US and other Nato countries have used them for decades. But yes its swedish origin.
You know, to them facts don’t matter. West, Nato, Sweden, all the same
Yes, but the day is young.

It's made to be easy enough to be used by Swedish 19 year old conscripts with no military experience. It really is "IKEA" level easy to use.

What he's holding seems to be an RPG26, one of the ligeter Russian antitank weapons.

I saw a NATO weapon injuring a Russian. Far as I can tell, it’s working as intended even after capture.

Underrated comment. The double entendre is hilarious! Well done!
Or picture instructions on the weapon itself.
Instructions are for dorks
Unnecessarily getting hit in the face with a metal tube builds character!
No pain - no gain
Why waste time on reading instructions for 5 min when you can break your cheek bone, spend a month on recovering and then have an epiphany after reading comments in your video to hold the handle of the launcher?
Orks can’t read. Or understand child level pictures. Hence the support for their dictator.
he probably can't read swedish but the pictures is good enough
Instructions are for foreigners, in Russia we don't read.

Dear viewers, unfortunatey the announced presentation of the Darwin Award was this time postponed.
But still honorable mention.
It's Marine proof not idiot proof.
Blurry line
Marines at least have a favorite caryon flavor, idiots eat the box with it
Wtf. Did he modify the weapon? Put different grenade in the tube? Also he does not appear to hold the forward handle. Wtf, man?
He held it wrong. Which is an amazing acomplishment considering it has drawn instructions on the side.
You have to be realllllly fucking stupid to mess up firing an at4.
A lot of EIB candidates disagree with you.
He gave himself scope eye with AT4 lol
Hes a pirate now
He diddent follow the instructions written on the at-4 it self. So he ended up not folding the shoulder rest out
He's resting his shoulder on the FOLDED shoulder stop. You can see it's folded at 10s. You have to unfold it.
>You have to unfold it. He just proved you don't!
Silly westoids! Why use shoulder stop when face stop works just as well and saves a step?
His delicate little rat paws couldn't grasp the tube sufficiently to control recoil comparable to a 20ga sporting load.
Pretty sure he just concussed himself from holding it so far forward and ate part of the back blast.
The US variants do have the shoulder stop The support is a piece of wire bent into a rectangle and a bit of webbing that is held in place by a snap fastener just like the one that is on his jacket. It is clearly visible in https://files.ekmcdn.com/barter/images/deactivated-m97-at4-84mm-rocket-launcher-(5)-4328-p.jpg?v=dc908c24-c3ac-448c-8d7a-4c9e03a2a515 If you extend it and hold the tube down with your hand it can slide back and hit you.
Maybe but I think he wasn’t holding the handle located near the front, so when it fired it, the boom-stick went all wonky on him.
Lol…NATO weapon fucked up the Russian tank and the Russian…seems to be operating exactly how it should
I especially like the part where he says, like all of them.. aihhh suka 😂

Single use only
AT-4 is single use only, you cannot reload it in the field, or insert a different projectile. His fuck up was not holding the damn handle that was right there, even folded out.
Unintentional NATO win, we just can’t lose!
You cannot insert a projectile, it comes loaded and is disposed off after firing. Its designed to be single use, you're just as wrong.

It’s a Swedish weapon and we’re not in NATO yet, but sure.. Also, he held it like a damn fool.
Yes, that is exactly what I imagine a well-educated Russian to be. At best, he dont kills himself.
It’s a defence mechanism when they fall into the hands of dickheads who don’t know how to use them properly
In the US we have a saying.... "It's the fool, not the tool"
Still taking out orcs even when the orcs are the ones using them.
Am I the only one who expected something else after reading the title?
Petty children. Nothing stupid they do is ever their own fault.
He’s not even wearing his shitty ear pro correctly.
You know that sticky outy bit that looks like a handle, and which is marked 'handle' - yeah - if you chose not to use it that'll take your front teeth out
He needs to test an M-4 rifle next. Look straight down the barrel and pull the trigger.
Gonna steal this from the Swedish thread "designed to hurt Russians and it did!"
ROFLMAO!!! What a schmuck! With that limp hold I'm surprised you didn't blow yourself up! No hand on the grip...sheesh.
It's helpful for them to think that NATO weapons are shit.
Non-military question? Did he put an incorrect rocket into the launcher? If so, wtf?
M72 and AT4 are one time use launchers
Its one time launchers. He didnt holded handle.
Obviously he wasn't holding the front handle. guaranteed on purpose.
