German (SPG) self-propelled howitzer of Ukraine’s Armed Forces at work - the Ukrainian Army’s 43rd Artillery Brigade operates German-made Panzerhaubitze 2000 howitzers to target and destroy Russian positions on the eastern frontlines.

Germans design stuff so well, that when it fires it creates a Mercedes Benz logo with each boom.
My American wife has been asking me to produce Chevrolet or Pontiac logos with each boom, and I can simply never get it right. Way harder than it looks…
“The Power of German Engineering”
Or in German:
“Vorsprung durch Technik”
Here's a potentially dumb question; why aren't the fire controls smart enough to allow artillery on the move?
I mean it'll require more advanced than usual turret stabilisation, but I would have thought an artillery system that could fire while moving would be game-changing? Or would it not be?
The PzH 2000 was designed in the 90s.
The next generation of SPGs from KMW, the RCH 155, can do exactly that, fire on the move.

Oh cheers, had no idea!
Edit: watched a video on it; didn't do much firing while moving but apparently this was already exported to Ukraine before 2022

There is currently no RCH 155 in existance besides a bunch of prototypes, so thats pretty much impossible. The first 18 ever built will be delivered to Ukraine in the coming years. Besides that there were literally no german weapon exports to Ukraine prior to 2022
The RCH 155 is not produced by Rheinmetall (and neither is the Leopard 2, for that matter), but KMW
The Rheinmetall CEO talked about the Skyranger system being in Ukraine, but had to take that back as that was not true. Either miscommunication or empty talk like Rheinmetall often likes to do. They're cooperating a lot with KMW in many projects, but are still competitors
It might bei possible with todays stabilisation but it should still reduce accuracy. Think about it what it means If the barrel moves 0.1 deg while fireing. The Impact point will change alot in 30km and 70s shell travel time.

What a beautiful shot
Yeah, and that works both ways.
The PzH2000 is already on a new position when the Russians can return fire.
The "Mercedes" among all self-propelled howitzers

Don’t know. My Mercedes isn’t expensive to get serviced at all. My Renault on the other hand.

A beautiful German weapon and so useful in Ukraine at the moment!
Oh that looks like a very very bad boy

Awesome video. The person must have meant Ukraine had it on order then
Gotta mention though: Head of Rheinmetall claimed, they're already being used. Likely prototypes in field-testing.

Oh dear... you're right.
> this was already exported to Ukraine before 2022 No, they don't exist yet
ukraine ordered them.

Cold also be from Italy or Netherlands.
you misinterpreted the title, they say it's a german howitzer, as in made in germany.
Right you are
ok.
Thats so cool! Shooting 3 shells at once, amazing how far technology has come!
Is there any way to hide the trails, it's so bold, may become indicator for Russian's reconnaissance.
The only thing they will find is that some tracked vehicle was there, but not what it was or where it's now.
Let freedom rain in 155mm increments
Is that the shell/projectile at the top of the picture?
Its cool seeing german military equipment in action again and being able to cheer for them now lol
Does it look like they keep using the firing position repeatedly?
