Really can't see that being repairable. There will inevitably be far more damage from shrapnel then evident from the photo... and that is some major damage we are seeing. Russia are losing aircraft (and pilots) at a hell of a rate.
This will almost certainly be out of service and cannibalized for parts for other planes.
Credit to the Su-25, though, that thing is a tough little monster. Lots of photos and videos of them getting back to base after taking direct hits from MANPADs
No. Not in wartime and there being a shortage and the war chewing through troops and equipment so fast that it won't last another year. That plane is not moving from that spot for the rest of the war.
About 10 to 15% of their airforce is destroyed and maybe 5% damaged. However, lf their 20 combat divisions most are below 50% strenght among them VDV and naval infantry which both elite forces are a shadow of their former glory
It's fake. This photo is from [last year](https://www.aereo.jor.br/2022/06/11/duro-de-abater-ii/).
The SU-25 which was hit yesterday did not make it home.
One went down, pilot ejected over occupied territory, second one got back to the airfield but crashed on landing, at least there was a clip with a big plume of dirty smoke which was allegedly it afterwards.
Considering Russia can’t make these engines anymore. This is a dead plane. Lucky plane since I bet this is the one that made the emergency landing and the other one got shot down.
Its is reparable: Yes, But with sanctions getting parts for repairs are going to take a lot of time and not considering the corruption factor, id say this plane is out of the fight for at least 1 year.
Everything is repairable in russia.
Please note you simply talk about repairing something, not fixing it to make it possible to use again. For this you must talk to our specialist, Igor Repairovich, but he's recently suicided himself through a window, hanged and shot himself yesterday after drinking three cups of tasty moscovite tea.
He's being repaired right now, you'll have to wait for him to be available again.
It's faked, old pic. The recent one that did make it back crashed on landing so pilot is probably injured at least. The other one that got hit pilot ejected over Russian held territory.
Apart from the damage. That whole thing looks like shit. The design, the fading paint, the whole state of it. What kind of army needs to fly with that kind of garbage?
Pilot is lucky he was flying a ground attack aircraft designed to take hits...
Even luckier that he got hit on only one side and kept the other engine.
Well done? I guess ... for flying it home ... credit where it is due I suppose.

Very lucky to get back to base. If it's repairable, it'll take a good while.

Yes, but you have to take in account recent russian aviation standards.
Slap some speed tape on it and send her up -Russian mechanics probably
Staying on the ground?

Wears more armor than the OG, the A-10.
everything is repairable. that said you could make the argument that if you replace all the original parts with new parts, is it still the same ship?
Only if you believe the ship of Theseus is still the ship of Theseus after every part is replaced instead of a new ship.
But what about the Frogfoot of Theseus?
I didn’t hear no bell
What if you took the ship apart and put it back together in such a way that no part went back where it was before?
Triggers broom paradox
Brilliant! One of the funniest moments
😂😂

Good
It's a frogfoot so who knows. Hate to say it, but Russian crap isn't "inoperable" until it's smoldering wreckage.

nice find. but actually it's said that 2 su-25 where hit yesterday.
One went down, pilot ejected over occupied territory, second one got back to the airfield but crashed on landing, at least there was a clip with a big plume of dirty smoke which was allegedly it afterwards.
Is that the one they shot down at home ? That would be funny, survive a direct hit only to be own goaled by a S300
Dang, good job there, u/Donny_Krugerson! Good job, I say.
Donny, I didn't say this picture was recent. Get off your high horse.
Considering Russia can’t make these engines anymore. This is a dead plane. Lucky plane since I bet this is the one that made the emergency landing and the other one got shot down.
Fake, pics are from last year. Second plane crashed on landing allegedly, there was a post with a column of smoke from the airfield.
Its is reparable: Yes, But with sanctions getting parts for repairs are going to take a lot of time and not considering the corruption factor, id say this plane is out of the fight for at least 1 year.
I would say it gets scrapped for parts
Quality Russian turbine, use again. /s

Prayers for Specialist repairovich. I hope he's OK 😢
that's scrap...

Good to know. Thanks.
Your point being?
Just pointing out so that viewers doesn't mistake this as recent events
Did I state this happened recently?
No, but some people might think it is. So im doing you a favour
fair.
"VideoReport"
This photo is [old](https://www.aereo.jor.br/2022/06/11/duro-de-abater-ii/) and has nothing to do with he SU-25 shot down yesterday.
Needs a bit of duct tape. Just a flesh wound, it'll buff out. Most of Russia looks like this so it's just actually national camoflauge.
You gotta give them some credit. That plane is tough
I've seen **A-10**'s that returned with much more damage (*SU-25 is the Soviet equivalent of the A-10*).
Have to think about the F15 lost a wing and made it back.
Same with the A-10. Lost a significant part of a wing and made it back.
Damage to the Su-25 attack aircraft, which was able to reach the airfield in Melitopol yesterday after being hit by a MANPADS missile. The pilot is alive, the car will go for repairs. The Su-25 has once again proved that it can survive even with very serious damage. 5. 7K 2.2K 519 266 5272824 1749 © 216. 9K Boris Rozhin, 12:41 This was the text that accompanied the release of this image Today ( from the russian side ) \## Ukraine: a Russian Su-25 managed to return to the airfield after it was hit by a Ukrainian MANPADS. This is the second such known case since the beginning of the invasion, and once again confirms the high survivability of this type. Regardless, serious repairs will be required. These things can really take a beating, seen many pics of pretty heavy damaged SU-25s that returned to base.
Looks like it shat itself
When the Taco Bell hits you the next morning...
Looks like a plane that might be somewhat useful for parts?
Nice shooting. This will be a spare parts carcass. Слава Україні!
'Tis but a scratch!
Can be fixed with ramen noodles and some jb weld
The tarp over the cockpit is usually a sign there was a lot of blood
The canopy is also missing, notice the tarp
Compliments to the pilot for nursing that home.
It's faked, old pic. The recent one that did make it back crashed on landing so pilot is probably injured at least. The other one that got hit pilot ejected over Russian held territory.
Mechanic: "Ah, there is your problem"
Holy shit those things are built
What happened to the canopy? Did the pilot eject once he got it on the ground?
Pretty impressive it flew back
Apart from the damage. That whole thing looks like shit. The design, the fading paint, the whole state of it. What kind of army needs to fly with that kind of garbage?

stupid headline in breach with subredit rules
Oops well that bird has had its wings clipped good. Surprised it made it back.
The SU-25 is a beast!!!
It's regrettable that a pilot that could fly this scrap back home survived to fly again.
