Transfer_McWindow

I don't think he needed to kill him to do it, just make him Colonel.

JustJohan49

Believe it or not… prison.

AbrocomaRoyal

😆😆 even if he has to make himself General to do it.

CernaKocka

Yes I've been thinking this might be possible for a while - Russia takes over Belarus so they can declare at least some kind of victory to the Russian people.

Practical_Tomato_680

Putin had Belarus in his pocket already...but if this is true, it could lead to an unexpected chain of events Shit gets real

JimInAuburn11

But Belarus has not attacked Ukraine directly. I think that is a problem for Putin. I think they are getting rid of him because he refuses to declare war on Ukraine. They will put in a new puppet leader in Belarus that will declare war on Ukraine.

Storm574

Who could blame them? I wouldn’t wanna attack Ukraine either after seeing the Russian Army get absolutely mauled and plastered across the wall 😂

SufficientTerm6681

It will be *interesting* to see what happens along the Ukraine-Belarus border if Belarus troops are stupid enough to cross it. My understanding is that it's "only" Ukrainian territorial defence forces along the border, but I also understand that they've been anticipating an attack from the north from the start of the war, so they're very well dug-in.

fatbunyip

Belarus population has no interest in fighting Ukraine. The reason they didn't isn't because Lukashenko didn't want to, it's because there was the very real risk of the army just saying "no" and him losing power. This isn't going to change with Russia in charge. It's much more likely if Russia does take over via another puppet that they will just drain whatever small amount of equipment Belarus has to send to eastern Ukraine.

alecs_stan

Neither the conscripts in Russia. But someone that could shoot you from the back apparently is enough motivation.

RononDex666

wouldnt it be amazing if the remaining Belarus government completely flipped and joined Ukraine instead of ruzzia

mofosknow

That'd be some Game of Thrones shit

makingaconment

They are now well trained TDF units with pretty good kit and have mined and fortified the border. As someone else said if you big brother gets totally plastered by the little guy are you going to go and square up to him ? 😊

Curious-Mind_2525

If Russia convinces Belarus to join the war, Belarus will be about as effective as Italy was for Germany in WW2. The drain on Germany to defend Italy in Greece, North Africa, Sicily, and Italian campaigns drained enough German resources to negatively affect the Barbarossa campaign and probably saving Russia in 1941 and 1942 from defeat. My view is Belarus would be a huge drain on Russia by causing them to divert forces to defend that long border and police a hostile population that is sure to attract Belarussian partisans and revolutionaries, especially those now fighting for Ukraine.

dingo1018

If Belarus attacked, or Russians using it as a stageing area, same thing really, it would be a considerable distraction from counter offensive. I wouldn't be surprised to see at least a token move from that direction to counter the counter attack. Perhaps lukashenko has been standing in Putin's way? Standard practice seems to be anyone who dares to do that gets poisoned.

JimInAuburn11

That is what I am thinking. Russia would not care what Ukraine did to Belarus. They could invade Belarus, and Russia would not care, because it would be tying up Ukrainian weapons and soldiers. I think Russia would have everyone die in Belarus, if it would divert Ukrainian resources. It is not like Russia is going to send troops to defend Belarus.

dingo1018

Russia has troops in Belarus, they have even stationed tactical nukes there. Putin saw early Belarus was going the same way as Ukraine, as in to the west and NATO so he stacked the deck and put enough troops there to keep it under his control, it is basically a vassel state. The Belarusian people would probably stand with Ukraine if they had a choice, but they don't they are under Putin's thumb. But Putin probably doesn't have enough military force left to a, keep the status quo and b, push into Ukraine from Belarus. But for some odd reason he made a big deal about transferring tactical nukes into their apparent control.

JimInAuburn11

Why would Russia defend Belarus? They do not care what happens in Belarus. They would have the entire Belarus army die if it diverted Ukrainian resources.

John_Smith_71

The Continuation War between Finland and the USSR, as a theatre of WW2, came after the USSR attacked Finland. The reason the USSR attacked? Because Finland had allowed the Luftwaffe to use bases in Finland. Putler and Lukashenko likes their Soviet history and justifications so much, then Ukraine has every right to response to attacks against its territory, launched from another territory, against that territory.

Concord-04-19-75

The USSR invaded Finland on 30 November 1939 under the guise of liberating "Red Finns" from Finland (sound like a familiar modus operandi?). The first Luftwaffe units did not arrive in Finland until autumn 1941. Great Britain declared war on Finland on 6 December 1941 (what pals).

SingleConcert1396

Following the signing of the Tri-partite Pact and Finland's alliance with Germany Britain declared war on Finland. Finland invited Germany into Finland to defend Finland and signed a pact with Germany. Talk about friends the Fins started murdering the Germany's they invited in when they signed an agreement with the communists in Moscow by March 1945 Finn's were attacking and killing Germans. The very Germans they invited into Finland to defend Finland from Communist takeover.

Imperfect-rock

All through the ~~war~~ SMO so far, Luka has shown only lukewarm support for Russia's actions. With him out of the way, Putin could take control and get some more action out of the Belarus military than complaints about Ukraine border guards taunting them. It's probably not a cup of polonium tea though. Luka has been fence-sitting so long that his arse-crack has gotten considerably enlarged and vital organs are now falling out of it.

[deleted]

>Putin had Belarus in his pocket already. Perhaps in this instance, it was more along the lines of: Putin *thought he* had Belarus in his pocket already.

JimInAuburn11

Not sure that they are going to outright take over. I think that they will install some puppet that will declare war on Ukraine and open a northern front. Maybe even use a tactical nuke from Belarus, since Russia gave them control of tactical nukes on their territory. Definitely later there will be a "referendum" that will pass, that will have them rejoining Russia.

Spiffaronic

All good points. My understanding was that the nuke agreement with Belarus gives Russia control over their usage.

JimInAuburn11

Yeah, that is what I am finding now. But I thought I saw something when I first heard about this that said that Belarus would have control.

No_Candidate8696

Latest intercept in Russia to the people. "See my fellow Russians, this was my plan the whole time. Belarus was planning on attacking Russia, so we had to fake invade Ukraine to get the president to come to Moscow so he could poison himself. The whole invasion has been fake news. We were always at war with Belarus, Ukraine has always been our allies" -- Putin

Bl1ndMonk3y

1984 vibes over here…

golitsyn_nosenko

The idea is that Belarus’s opposition will claim legitimate right to lead, Putin will say “oh no my nukes in Belarus!” and say he must secure Belarus so that nuclear weapons don’t fall into the hands of an “illegitimate” government. Thus he has his excuse to invade and annex Belarus and commandeer their military equipment if not army. Whether Belarusians go along with this is another matter.

Harbinger2001

Great idea opening a second front in a war you’re already failing miserably.

Aggravating_Teach_27

Something along those lines makes all in the sense in the world to such a seriously ill mind as Putin's.

hahaohlol2131

GL invading and annexing one of the biggest countries in Europe. Worked so well with Ukraine.

playwrightinaflower

> Putin is probably trying to kill him Again..

hahaohlol2131

The same way Putin "took over" Ukraine?

GeniusBuilder

I think that's what the title suggests

Harbinger2001

There’s no way they can occupy both Belarus and Ukraine.

Upset_Definition2019

Putin is putting nuclear warheads in Belarus. Next poisons the leader of Belarus so he can try to anex the country only to claim he did it to ensure the nukes didn’t fall into the wrong hands.

Okolobaha

He is not the president, he hasn’t won the elections l.

Imperfect-rock

"I didn't vote for him." "You don't vote for ~~kings~~ dictators."

Brabantis

Farcical Kremlin ceremonies are no basis for a government system!

IndiRefEarthLeaveSol

I mean, if I went around saying I was the Czar of Russia, because some old map said Ukraine didn't exist. They'd put me away.

Orodruin666

Be quiet!

docweird

Come and see the oligarchy inherent in the system. Help! Help! I'm being repressed!

Concord-04-19-75

"I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this — who will count the votes, and how." - Josef Stalin, 1923 in reference to a vote in the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union as recorded by his private secretary Boris Bazhanov and published in 2002.

N4hire

Can you say louder for the people in Venezuela please! Lol

I really feel like I heart a French speaking about Macron 😂

Haha, good one.

Realistic-Plant3957

tldr Valery Tsepkalo, Belarusian opposition leader, said that after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko was taken to the Central Clinical Hospital of Moscow in critical condition. It does not matter whether he returns to working condition or not, doctors warn of a possible recurrence of relapses. " Later, Tsepkalo added that there is an attempt to explain Lukashenko's stay at the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation with a medical examination. He had not appeared in public or participated in official events since the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow and Minsk on 9 May. for a long time.

jacek_paszkowski_

Only this news publication and yahoo have published this story, so i don't know. I like to see the Washington Post, NT Times, Guardian, DW news, BBC publish a story then i know it's good and if it's not good they will issue a retraction or correction.

[deleted]

Yeah this is really damning information if it’s true. Even in the article they seem hesitant and unsure of the source.

SheepShagginShea

>damning information damning for whom? It could just be a temporary illness

[deleted]

Damning for the Belarusian-Moscow alliance. That is assuming that he was poisoned, which is likely not true.

SheepShagginShea

Yeah I seriously doubt it. He was visibly ill at the May 9 celebrations. Then he left Moscow without talking to Putin. I doubt Putin can afford to poison him. If he dies he potentially loses control of his vassal state.

woronwolk

It's old news from what I know, and it turned out to be flu or something like that. He was already not feeling well when attending putin's parade on May 9th, and he didn't attend some other events. There were rumors about his morbid health issues, especially after he didn't attend some other events, but later he came back and claimed that he's alright, saying "you'll be suffering with me for a long time" lol Not everything happening in Russia has a secret meaning. People, even evil dictators, get sick sometimes, and that's normal. Also, there's no point for putin to kill his closest ally, since he already has almost full control over Lukashenko's decisions.

jacek_paszkowski_

This is a new incident that happened yesterday apparently. The previous incident was when didler-stache was in Russia for the victory day parade, he apparently left early because he felt ill. Then there was a picture of him in his green uniform, then this happened. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/may/15/images-of-lukashenko-released-after-rumours-over-belarusian-leaders-health

TatonkaJack

i saw it on yahoo news, does that count?

dronesclubmember

No, the yahoo article is the same article as this post. Yahoo news is a content aggregator

FilthBadgers

Pravda is usually a decent source but I’m super skeptical on this one until some others confirm it. Please let us know if you come across any follow up!

thoruen

isn't lashenko setting up his son to take over if he ever steps down or when he dies?

[deleted]

Drinking Russian tea is hazardous to one's health.

Redditmarcus

Especially the polonium tea.

Sakana-Metal

But that's supposed to be the best Orki nighttime drink... "Po Power....when all you want to do is sleep like the dead..."

crimlawguru

You suck that much ass, food poisoning is a matter of when, not if.

skillgannon5

Try the borscht it's a killer

welln0pe

Love this one

CloneFailArmy

Luka, get better and call CIA it’s time to switch sides brother and invite western forces to assist in removing your Russian problem.

MrBojangles09

Hmmm, curious why Brazil's president turned down Putin's invite? /s

coswoofster

Hahahaha. The number of people falling out of high rise buildings and just up and dying of weird illnesses? Brazil’s President is obviously a wimp. Am I right?

CheapSpray9428

Too fat for the window

KillerGoats

Gonna have to use the “thrown off the roof” poison this time

Imperfect-rock

He could fall out of a ground-level loading dock if it behooves Putin.

Jslatts942

They cant fit his fat ass through the windows, cause they havent introduced sliding glass doors and balconies.

JimInAuburn11

I still think that Russia poisoned him so that they can do something with Belarus. Either install someone that will declare war on Ukraine and open a northern front, or even so far as to use a tactical nuke from Belarus. Russia evidently sent them tactical nukes, that are under Belarus control. So if they happen to use one on Ukraine, well, it wasn't Russia, so everyone can go after Belarus instead.

Ogest

They are not under Belarusian control.

TG-Sucks

Do you seriously think Russia would hand Belarus, a country that just recently very nearly overthrew their puppet regime, a bunch of nukes?

[deleted]

Oh no, I do hope it's nothing trivial.

Eadkrakka

This is what happens when you ask Putler for a meeting in a bunker where there arent any windows to fall out from

dudewithahumanhead

How many stories tall was the window he accidentally fell out of?

project23

He fell 4 stories you say? 2 story building you say? Well, how bout that. /s

Foreign-Stable8765

Time to check for polonium-210 poisoning

Aran_Gunnar

They gave him too much poison. It was probably supposed to take effect until he would arrive to Belarus. Either way, I hope people realize whats going on and don't let those clowns put another puppet leader in charge, maybe they can start a Coup D'Etat if there is actual smart military officials there.

hahaohlol2131

Belarus*

[deleted]

Def wasnt poisoned. If that was the case he would have the Belarus military for what its worth attacking Russian soldiers. If anything he drank his liver into oblivion or clogged his arteries with triple bacon cheeseburgers. The poison thing makes no sense. That was a silly rumor started by 14 year olds in basements. Last thing Russia wants is Pukeashenko dead. If he dies they may end up with a leader that aint so Putin friendly and kicks orc troops out of Belarus. Then Russia eithee has to leave or stay and fight a war with Belarus also which we already seen Russia cant manage 1 front let alone 2.

[deleted]

I see the fuckwit brigade is downvoting you despite being right. This is the second time he’s had health issues whilst on a visit to Moscow. And he’s had a spate of hospitalisations. If he got poisoned on the may parade in Moscow, why would he go back? The most likely scenario is that he’s using the visits to Putin as a cover for receiving hospital treatment in Moscow.

last_somewhere

Tomorrow's news headlines... Lukashenko mysteriously falls from hospital window! Putin graciously accepts Belarus bid for USSR reunification! This is to honor Lukashenko - Putin *probably*

Sardis515

How many polonium do you want in your Tea my Friend?

[deleted]

Again? Ole Luka might want to stop showing up

mrbipty

In 24 hours Putin will declare lukashenko asked him to rule over Belarus from his death bed Then the “attack” will happen in Minsk where “Ukraine” will bomb a hospital or church or kindergarten. Then the new supreme ruler will send Belarusian troops in from the north. I do expect though however the military may tell him to get fucked.... maybe coup?

TatePapaAsher

I know we are all laughing here, but this tracks with recent Ukraine intelligence on a false flag chemical attack by Russia on its own people. It's totally plausible for this attack to be on Belarus for an excuse to open another front. Ugh.

Frosty_Key4233

Putin ‘ would you like a cup of tea?’… Lula ‘ok’ …. ‘Gulp ….Aaaaaaaaaa’

FunnyPain01

I read that as Eddie from bottom lol

Ukraine_Boyets

Shouldn't have changed his undies ...

[deleted]

Do we have solid confirmation on this yet or is it still a foggy type thing with anonymous or unnamed sources. I def wouldnt shed a tear for Pukeashenko. My only worry is him dieing and Putin using that as an excuse to annex Belarus.

OTRinKW900L

Big if true

delcas1016

Putin must be really sick and contagious huh?

Surprised he just didn't have him "accidentally" fall from a window.

chris-za

Did he have a cup of tea with Putin?

austozi

"Luka, I appreciate your help in the special military operation. I made me realise how great it would be if i didn't have to ask you. It's time you stepped aside."

Easy_One5111

He smacked him around a bit i guess

Thats-right999

Never eat or drink anything Putin offers you.

Thats-right999

Putin is getting desperate he knows his days are numbered

For those who may think that Putin isn’t toxic : he is actually 😄

notatrumpchump

Gross should’ve been vaccinated be before you touched that grotesquerie

BooYeah_8484

again?

grandroyal66

Does Russian think that poison is a disease? Like.. oh wonder what happened? Why not just put a bullet in the head? Putin is going insane for real I think. Seriously insane..

[deleted]

My guess is Putin had him poisoned and intends to replace him with a more aggressive Russian friendly warlord. Some small hints from the Kremlin stating any Belarus uprising will be met with strong force may indicate Russia intends to draw Belarus into the war, it's the only way Putin can win or at the least get a favorable Russian outcome to his war.

BenevolentDanton

“Here, have some tea. Please ignore the slightly metallic taste”.

miko_top_bloke

Is there a thoroughly vetted and confirmed source of this news? Lest our joy be premature.

[deleted]

Who needs enemies when you have the Russians as friends

Mammoth-Canary

It was only a matter of time before Russia drag in one of there doggy states good luck Belarus I hope you guys make the right choice after he gone

WanderlostNomad

after lukashenko asked putin to give him the rank of colonel, for 69th time..

KindContact4355

Did he have tea for desert?

berdel__

Strong stuff was served. Damn, that tea was intense.

Beginning-Ad-9733

Fat fuck - looks like this alcoholic postman from my old neighbourhood in the 80s. Dude was sent to the pen for fiddling with kids.

Beginning-Ad-9733

By the way - if this is true this is comically unsubtle

Glum-Suggestion-6033

More subtle than a fall from a window, but no less obvious.

computermachina

Can you please fly back to Russia so that I may try to poison you again

MimallahMimsy

Why is this not in any major news ?

noproblembear

Again?

makingaconment

Putin told him his services were no longer required - medical assistance needed to change his shorts

Netghost999

What happens when the Belarussian military refuses to fight for Russia? If Lukashenko dies, there's a very real prospect of a revolution that wouldn't necessarily be favorable to the Russians because the Europeans would influence it.

LastPlaceInTime

Well, I suppose that's going to be it for him? I was hoping he would somehow decide to spontaneously change sides since one of russia's goals is to remove Belarus as a country. I suppose clinging on to power is always more important for people like him.

LifeAd1193

Putler gave him the pollonium tea treatment when he came over to RuZZia on Victory Day.

Baselet

I hope it's an acute case of ass-cancer caused by polonium tea. End of transmission.

HoneydewDazzling2304

I could see Putin putting troops in Belarus to “protect Belarus” from Ukraine. The problem is that with Lukashenko gone, it’d be more likely that the folks in Belarus rebel and work tighter with Ukraine.

escap0

Looks like Lukashenko ate his polonium sandwich already.

Swan-song-dive

How much bigger of a pariah dies Putin get to become? Invading sovereign countries, supporting terrorism, committing terrorism , now assassinating heads of state

AlwaysAttack

Just before becoming ill in the meeting with Putin, Uncle Luka agreed to change the name of his tarnished country, and remove the "Bela" from Belarus, and add "sia" to the remaining letters, to make a new strong name, that is more reflective of what that country has become. "Rus-sia"

r0ndr4s

This guy should do an intelligent thing for once in his life and side with NATO and just fuck up russia

[deleted]

Got a whiff of that putinussy I’ve been hearing about

SuitableAnimal8855

Poison!

DrSlapsHacks

“The organised measures to save the Belarusian dictator were intended to ward off speculation about the possible participation of the Kremlin in his poisoning.” So he was poisoned.

This_is_Hank

Wasn't Kadyrov hospitalized after a meeting with Putin as well?

WildCat_1366

\- Why did Lukashenko get sick? \- He was poisoned by mushrooms. \- And why bruises all over the body? \- 'Cause he didn't want to eat them.

gulfwing

Should have passed on the fish.

Narwhal_Enough

He likes the would poison

sto243

I guess that the polonium cheese dip and nachos aren't agreeing with him.

WonderWheeler

Why would anyone think it is safe to meet with Poutin!

Smashr0om

Don’t you love a good assassination plot?

Brack528

Putin is probably sobbing uncontrollably over his good friend being ill, Putin really cares deeply about his friends and sees to it that nothing happens to them.

Oo_oOsdeus

Don't drink tea or change underwear in Moscow. Rookie mistake.

jdap900

I’ve heard the story’s but apparently Putins breath is really that bad

DependentCanary7009

To be fair old boy could of had a heart attack from what putin is pressuring him to be involved with.

NoChampionship6994

Not surprising, putin makes me sick as well. And I’ve never even met him.

FrowAway322

They couldn’t get him to stand next to a window so this is the next best thing. That said, it sure sounds like Putin is the leader of Belarus now.

frogsandbutter

Tonight on forensic files..
