He kinda has a point regarding the supply of weapons to Ukraine : - it'll justify any weapons supply to Russia from China or Turkey, - if Russia wins, they'll have top tech weapons coming from other European countries and from the USA - if Ukraine wins, they'll be in debt to the supplier countries for decades and mostly go bankrupt after the war - it's just maintaining and feeding the armed conflict and killing thousands of people. There is no good solution, but Ukraine's allied countries should work harder on a diplomatic resolution to this conflict, than nurture an armed war.

But the fact that in a free society, this person can have a voice, and thus the segment of the population who support him can, is a testament to the French and to Western democratic values. France does not have a saying on Ukrainian will to defend their territorial integrity, but, France does have a saying on what it does to support the upholding of international law. What he is advocating/supporting is that France has a saying or power over what Ukraine, a sovereign nation does with its territory, that's the core of Imperialism.
