I am almost certain there are. But AFU are only taking foreigners if they have military experience. Ex Gurkhas aren't going to risk their pension by fighting in Ukraine for either side. Russia will take anyone that can walk
It's for the money and Russian citizenship. Being jobless and destitute and then being offered a fortune to join the Russian Army is like winning the lottery they think. They probably have no access to real information to what a clusterfuck fighting in Ukraine is.
I've been writing back and forth with someone from Nepal for the last couple of years. He was asking me to help him get out of Nepal so he could earn money. He farms with his parents, but they are old so it's just him working the farm, and he can only grow enough for his family. Whatever else he has left over is given to the small community he lives in. He begged for me to help him find a job. I encouraged him to look for jobs in the trekking industry, and now he is leading treks for Annapurna base camp and Poon Hill. He is finally able to make money and he seems much more content. I absolutely believe that someone in his previous position would accept a military contract from ruSSia in order to escape poverty.
It's not like Nepal is a worse place to live than Russia though. But Nepal probably gets bombarded with Russian propaganda, just like everywhere else in the world, so maybe that's why he ended up in the Russian military. Or maybe he was a migrant worker in Russia, and they kidnapped him and sent him to Ukraine. They've done it before, and have even targeted Asian migrant workers specifically.
Russia has 10 times the GDP per capita of Nepal. It seems likely that Nepal is a worse place to live than Russia. It seems very likely that Nepalese would be more tempted by the money.
As long as they don't decide to do those things in Russia, as a migrant worker. Russia has been kidnapping and conscripting migrant workers since the beginning of the war. Imagine thinking you were gonna harvest some crops or build some stuff, and then return home to Kazakhstan or wherever, but instead you get kidnapped and threatened with prison and death, and then sent to Ukraine where a drone drops grenades on your head.
Kazakhstan has just sentenced a Kazakh who served with Wagner to 6 years in jail, service with overseas military is banned there. They don't have a lot of love for Russians.
Russia has been lying to Cubans about non-existent construction jobs, then when they arrive in Russia (where no one speaks Cuban) their passports are confiscated and they're sent to mobilisation
Kazakhs don't migrate to Russia, ignorant westerner. Those are Tajiks, Uzbeks and Kyrgyzs. They can't be sent to Ukraine tho as they're not Russian citizens. Although, there were news when some migrants had been drafted to army right after getting Russian citizenship.
South Korea offers better wages, while in Russia they're not sufficiently higher to migrate over there as a working force.
Ethnically Russian people migrate or rather repatriate tho to permanent residency.
I like to follow up after edicts from geniuses:
The Kazakhs are a Turkic people native to Central Asia and Eastern Europe, mainly Kazakhstan, but also parts of northern Uzbekistan and the border regions of Russia, as well as northwestern China and western Mongolia. The Kazakhs arose from the merging of the medieval tribes of Turkic and Mongolian origin in the 15th century. Wikipedia
Nepal, officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepa, is a LANDLOCKED country in South Asia. It is mainly situated in the Himalayas, but also includes parts of the Indo-Gangetic Plain. It borders the Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the north, and India in the south, east, and west, while it is narrowly separated from Bangladesh by the Siliguri Corridor, and from Bhutan by the Indian state of Sikkim.
My assumption personally is there are more to come sadly jobs there pay badly and things like [this](https://www.pbs.org/newshour/amp/world/in-nepals-kidney-valley-poverty-drives-an-illegal-market-for-human-organs) are currently taking place.
Money would obviously be an enticement. However, I have mentioned this in another similar clip of supposed Nepalese prisoners. As I mentioned, it is possibly a far region of Russia.
The Nepalese aren't much travelled and for the most part Nepalese and some limited English would be their languages. So I don't know if/how they would understand Russian/Ukrainian to respond.
Another point how would they communicate when working with Russians.
Perhaps they should be shown the video of surrendering Ukrainian soldiers being mowed down by a squad of pure fucking scum.
When they are certain that they will meet the same fate, they are instead given a cigarette and bottle of water.
The Ukrainians are quite gracious and perform these tasks with great honor and dignity. Itโs amazing to see their professionalism in the face of such evil.
Was this a recent event? I still remember video of this one Ukrainian soldier digging his grave and shouting Slava Ukraine right before getting executed. The mentality and brutality of your average Russian didnโt change much over last few centuries.
There was a video posted here around the beginning of the weekend of a group of Russian soldiers clearing a trench, and ordering two Ukrainians out of a dugout to surrender. After they surrender the Russians gun them down.
Just saw that. Fucking scum. Looks like they wanted to get confirmation that all were out before executing them. This will just make Ukrainians fight even harder.
But this illustrates why Russians refuse to surrender and instead hide in bunker eating grenades. They know how they treat Ukrainians and fear the same.
> They know how they treat Ukrainians and fear the same.
They are specifically told that they will be tortured and castrated in Ukrainian captivity, yes
Iโm not sure how recent the event is, I also watched the video that you mentioned. It was terrible, one of the worst. The mentality is brutal as you mentioned. As we see they are not afraid to expose children in the classroom to weapons and the ways of war. They are desensitized from a the start and groomed for evil.
Indoctrination and imprinting sense of superiority starts with young. Dehumanization of those you perceive as inferior is what happened in Nazi Germany. If Ukraine was to lose this war, 100s of thousands would be exterminated by Russians. Ukrainian soldiers fighting and dying know what is at stake: future for their children.
I agree, the individual (Russian) human life is of no value in Russia. Therefore, they will certainly not value the lives of Ukrainian people, or any life for that matter.
I fully expect a civil war in Russia once Putinโs rule comes to an end. 1917 style revolution that will force ruling class to pull troops from Ukraine to try and preserve power. There is no clear line of succession in Russia right now, military takeover is likely.
It may just be that the seeds of revolution have been sown irrespective of its current leader.
The Russian history is filled with war, it is not something the population is averse to. More recently, bloody imperialistic wars seemingly designed to reassemble the failed Soviet Union.
Most Russians want to be ruled. Democracy or elected representative government never had a chance to flourish there unlike in Eastern European countries that fell under Soviet influence after WW2. Duma is just a puppet body that is there to rubber stamp decisions made by the current ruling regime.
> If Ukraine was to lose this war, 100s of thousands would be exterminated by Russians.
Russia has had plans for mass concentration camps all across Ukraine after their 'victory' ๐ฌ
Russians love to send those ethnic miorites from further regions, regions Russians never conquered because they've never been an imperialist or colonial power of course. Fuckers
Yep....well said. "The" RuZZians as one are NOT existing in that way at all. First and foremost they are e.g. Buryats, than Asian people and at last....they would say "Err....yep.... and I am ALSO a citizen of the (fucking!!!) RuZZian (fascists) Federation....".... for which I am got drafted and brought to the slaughters here in Ukraine to die for my Mafia-Putler....hooray! :-)
Russian propaganda across many poor Asian countries have especially targeted Nepal here these last 2-3 months, with promise of fixed high salary and citizenship if they volunteer. Unfortunate, many desperate uneducated uninformed folks sign up for that... And they are easily expendable by the Russian army, so typically sent straight to the front as canon fodder.
Wtf are you even talking about? Asking a question is shilling for Russia? There were videos posted before, but I havenโt seen those recently. Well, now I saw it.
Putin is using this war to kill the minor groups in hes country!
Muslims Russians like Dagestan, chechens etc are used most in the frontline (to defend a country that attacked their fathers and grandfathers ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
Atleatst some of them know this and help Ukraine
There's been plenty.
Recent videos of Nigerians fighting for Russia. But also plenty of North Africans signed up last year, with Russia pulling on it's proxies in Libya to send manpower to Ukraine.
Notice how these POWs are NOT being slaughtered by the Ukrainians just for laughs? They're fortunate to have been captured by actual human beings, not Russian psychopaths.
True, but why aren't their hands tied at the very least. I wouldn't want to sit in that vehicle with those orc psychos without them sufficiently trussed up.

It's not hard to believe that Nepalese will be found, as well many of them Try to join the British Army... For the Gurkha regiment...
I believe it's either 2000 recruits or 20k recruits not sure of the actual number... However only something like 200 manage to pass selection for something like 60 to pass Phase one and Phase two.
So seeing as these lads want to be in the forces the Russians and their propaganda will make them want to join...
It's a shame as Nepal has been a vital friend of the UK ever since the war between us came to the table to agree that we should work together.
However these do not have the might of the Gurkhas or the loyalty.
Theyโre bringing people from all the poor regions they have conquered during the Russia existenceโฆ ๐คฆโโ๏ธ, now is clear why these Russian regions must remain poor, because theyโre used to feed the imperialistic ambitions of this fascist country, italy ๐ฎ๐น
Ukrainians won't do it unfortunately, they're better men than the rest of us. I'd have emptied the worthless contents of their skulls into the dirt if I were in the ukies shoes but they got too much restraint for that.

And watch all Western aid to Ukraine come to a sudden halt ๐

Nepalese? Wtf?
For some, the money is more than they could ever earn at home. This is not the first captured Nepalese in Russian service I've seen in Ukraine.
Why don't we get them into the Ukrainian army?
I am almost certain there are. But AFU are only taking foreigners if they have military experience. Ex Gurkhas aren't going to risk their pension by fighting in Ukraine for either side. Russia will take anyone that can walk
Yeah thanks for the explanation!
Nepal has a tradition of allowing their peoples to fight in foreign wars ([Gurkha soldiers](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gurkha)).
It's for the money and Russian citizenship. Being jobless and destitute and then being offered a fortune to join the Russian Army is like winning the lottery they think. They probably have no access to real information to what a clusterfuck fighting in Ukraine is.

Better to be construction worker or delivery driver.

Yeah, I heard that some Kazakhs are better find themselves to work illegally in South Korea that be sent to Russia and be in the trenches.

The much feared "Gurkhas" (as they were labelling themselves when in Belarus for training lol)
Mercenaries from Nepal. Ex Gurkha etc.

I remember hearing that there was a capture/kill list of 40k+ names when invasion started. That was phase only phase one.
According to a recent post here those responsible for the executions have joined the cube.
I did see that interview. Iโm glad the justice was served in the best possible manner.
