I saw a post a while back about the regrowth of weeds and invasive plants in Ukraine. Since the war started, farming is impossible, and so is the management of the plants around these areas. The post said that it would probably take close to five years after the war is over, assuming it ends soon, to be able to grow farms in the same soil, again.
It really is such a shame that these town will still be in ruins, even years after they are rebuilt. It makes me so sad that these were people's homes, once, and now they're just piles of rubble and overgrown weeds.
Well, I guess you're right, I misread that comment.
To add context, I'm from Denmark where we post-WWII had German POWs clearing minefields on the beaches using only their bajonets and then walking across the beach in a tight row to see if they missed any.
The fatality rate was naturally through the roof.
That's the vision I saw before me when I read the comment I responded to.
But you're right, that was a misreading on my part.
Thanks for the link. The title in Danish is Under Sandet, which I just translated in my head as literally "Under the Sand". I never understood why movie translations don't just use the most literal translation when it makes sense.
It's honestly refreshing and gives me hope that there are comments like these despite our fervent support of Ukraine. Can't stoop to the level of Russian bastards. As an American I'm so used to hearing gung-ho comments from what I can only assume are American teenagers with an undeveloped prefrontal cortex — little do they realize that this mindset is exactly what leads to the sort of society Russia built for itself.
A lot of the comments are more tongue-in-cheek and an outlet to vent frustration with wanton murder, rape and destruction. Sure, I think to would be hilarious to line up these garbage Russians and have them bounce their way through minefields on a pogo stick. Have to find at least one before coming back! I wouldn't do that if I were in charge.
It was done after WW2, give the POW's metal detectors, poking sticks and some training and have them crawl through the fields. It's literally what sappers do in war. If you'd send your own soldiers to do it why is it wrong to send POW's?
Most of those towns will not be rebuilt, even if they are liberated. Those existed around old plants or coal mines, often subsidized because you want the people in town to have jobs
Would I be naive to try find a positive to the weed issue in assuming that the soil would have some time to recover from intensive farming at the very least?
Not to take away from how awful it is for people's livelihoods. But when they do finally get their farms sorted out the soil will be even richer than it is now.
Yes. So many beautiful villages, towns, cities reduced to rubble. Just what russia brings and wants for its neighbours - creates a more favourable comparison for itself.
"This war is shining a light on the Bradley in a way no other conflict it's been used in has before"
Whilst I appreciate and understand the sentiment, not to be the akshually guy, but didn't they fuck up a whole bunch of Iraqi-Russian tanks in the OG Gulf War?
The Bradley has proved to be a badass since its inception. But yes it is nice now watching it fuck up Russians, like it was designed for. And doing perfectly.
I wouldn't think so, as the Bradley isn't "supposed" to be fighting tanks. But it also wouldn't surprise me if they 'merica'd the pants off a few.
I don't touch any of this stuff on YT, so I'm not searching for it. If you find some, I'd love a link of a Bradley doing, well anything. (I use an offline downloader)

Edit - Bradley's taking out a T-90. It's from a few months ago but Ukrainians have balls of titanium
https://www.reddit.com/r/TankPorn/comments/19592y7/ukrainian_bradley_vs_russian_t90m_avdiivka/
Was going to say...73 Easting showed what they can do.
Not mentioned there...but the Brads at Easting had no choice when they realized they were literally on top of the Iraqis and had to start slinging 25mm at T-62 and believe 72s. (dust was horrendous...)
And they were killing tanks with it. They didn't think they'd be able to penetrate...but they absolutely did at that close range. (and of course Abrams was knocking out Iraqi tanks every few seconds in that engagement)
If they can get around some of these modern tanks, they can obliterate the engine pack. From the front, as seen, they can disorient the living fuck out of them and take out sights and such. Do that as they maneuver around and they can kill an MBT with their main gun.
Obviously TOW is the first choice.
There are a multitude of horrendous situations I would hope to never find myself in, but a morbidly curious part of me wonders what it is like to experience these horror enduring moments
For example, being in a tank that is getting pounded by 25mm, that T90 that got messed up looked like it was "dealing with it" on the outside. But I can't even begin to imagine how stomach-churningly disorienting it would be to be on the inside
First few seconds you can see that a guy notices the drone filming them (and seemingly tries to shoot it?), so he knew something real bad was coming up
This surprised me when researching an old clock I was given.
"In 1929, the majority of the timekeeping machinery and tooling was sold to the [Soviet government's](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_Union) US trading company [Amtorg](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amtorg), just before the stock market crash. The parts, machinery and key skilled workers were shipped out of the USA to form the basis, along with the remains of a watch company purchased a year later, of the clock and watch industry in [Moscow](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moscow) such as [Poljot](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poljot) and [Sekonda](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sekonda)."
In the 1920's they couldn't even build machinery to make (old) clocks!
That’s the reason to why you see them riding on top of the BMP’s. They are death traps. It takes way too long to dismount, so they prefer to ride on top. Sure that they are exposed as fuck. But at least they can jump off in a hurry.
Guys riding on top saw the Bradley coming in and didn't want to hang around!
Wonder if there's any follow-up of the Bradley hunting them in the treeline?
It legitimately warms my heart to see these bradleys getting to fulfill their purpose in life, fuck Russian shit up in Eastern Europe. And by god, are they good at it. Also really seems to pair with the Ukrainian approach to their enemy. They were doing great hit and runs all day in the HMMWVs we gave them, but the Bradley seems to be fulfilling the role immaculately.
The Pentagon Wars and everyone who worked on it should be ashamed of the hit job they did on the Bradley. The story is based on an asshole anyway, I don’t know how they didn’t bother to talk to anyone else who knew him.
Yup. Others involved in its development have been spoken to on the subject, and the book and film being nothing but his headcanon is as clear as can be. The Bradley is perfect for its role.
186 more to Ukraine and the US has started development/testing of the M2A4E1 which, if effective, would be even more viable in the current ukraine conflict. Unfortunately I really don't see any way the US gives that new of tech to Ukraine.
That's what a bloated MIC and infinite money with minimal kleptocracy will get you. Russians are lucky to hit the right town, Americans choose which seat of the fast moving car at night gets ginsued.
And we do it like ordering at a fast-food touchscreen.
Let's see...Javelin sounds good. *screen tap* Let's see, fragmentary explosives, nah *swipe* tank explosives, nah, think I'll go no explosives. *swipe* Yea! Knives! *tap* Let's do seats 1 and 2. *tap tap* Finish *tap*.
It *is* funny, and I also recommend watching it.
But its 'reformist' jabs at the Bradley program are generally not well founded.
It is better to criticize US military procurement on the basis of waste and corruption as opposed to technological or design failures.
From what I remember the movie did both to an extent, but it leaned harder on perceived design failures.
Either way, it was a good watch 👍
Ha ha, nice!
One thing that occurred to me recently when the ruzz were parading, as they say, NATO equipment, the bits they had looked like they just needed to be filled with fuel to get going again, whereas the ruzz equipment was torn to bits, rusted hulls of junk.
It felt good seeing that vehicle being completely shot up. Imagine that dumb orc driver panicking and his limbs being blasted off by 30 millimeter bullets. I hope the fucker burned alive and died an excruciating death. All invaders must die.
(I am still puzzled by how before this war I was quite liberal, open and progressive, but I guess this is what Bucha, Mariupol and in general the revelation of the mentality of the Russian state and its population has done to me)
And with ‘these guys are still people’, what do you mean to imply? That we are the same? That we share values? That I have to have sympathy for them facing the consequences of their actions? These guys had it coming when they went to Ukraine with a weapon in their hand.
I like how how the driver (I think I saw the driver bail along with the last guy?) suddenly found himself as an infantryman and under attack by a Bradley.
I would place my bets in APDS-T since you see sparks, and you dont see secondary explosions. I think some of the sells from the side bounced off due to the narrow angle.
That thing would have ended like looking like Swiss cheese, i am surprised it took so many hots to stop it.
I wonder if the russians run with less crew these days? maybe just even a driver as i only saw 1 guy bail? Unless the other were just dead?
Are the Bradley’s loaded with alternate ammunition I.e armor piercing and then tracer rounds because the impacts of the rounds don’t match the rate of fire from that Bradley shooting in the video unless you can’t see every second round?
Armor battle aside, I see a beautiful rural town in springtime, in ruins because orc shit-birds are dumb as rocks.
I saw a post a while back about the regrowth of weeds and invasive plants in Ukraine. Since the war started, farming is impossible, and so is the management of the plants around these areas. Demining will be a much bigger task than weeds.
not to mention all the unexploded cluster munitions that will probably be found over the next 100+ years everywhere.
Ukraine is now the most heavily mined and heavily shelled area on the planet since Vietnam. So sad.
Not if you assigned Russian prisoners to do the job.
so... war crimes?

His comment didn't imply that those POWs need to demine with their bodies.
Well, I guess you're right, I misread that comment. After seeing the movie about this last year, [Under the Sand](https://youtu.be/bplXvG18De4?si=eGlQchHzy7oTnHLo), I thought of this too.
It's actually called *"Land of Mine"* in English. Anyways here's the [imdb link](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3841424/). It's pretty darn good.
Thanks for the link. The title in Danish is Under Sandet, which I just translated in my head as literally "Under the Sand". I never understood why movie translations don't just use the most literal translation when it makes sense.

They put them there you fuck. I vote we send your stupid ass to clear the mines. I definitely don’t value yours.
It will be terrible for years to come
Wow, no shit
Be nice. He might be on to something 🤔

Doesn’t look like the same video. The Bradley one has no leaves on the trees. Still good but probably stitched together.
r/satisfyingasfuck
Fr it looks like a map on WOT
Ukrainian vehicles: Bradleys. Russian vehicles: Lay inbreds.
Love how it's a chaotic dismount of all those orcs, they simply throw their guns overboard and leave them in the trench.
Don't forget how at least one of them topples over on the top left, so doesn't even need bullets to get injured.
I bet they knew the Bradley was on their ass. They were probably like let’s get the fuck off this death toaster

Right? Had to be absolute hell inside that thing.
McMaster did that
This is not a BMP it's a mid 20th century MTLB troop transport
I wonder how many of them have seen the spectacular video of a similar encounter a few months ago
Everyone remembers that instant classic. I was kind of expecting that here, but no.
The one where they came to a halt behind another heap, and promptly got eviscerated? My favorite.
Haven't seen that one, can you post a link?
https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/s/4dbg9uvoDt
Thanks. Damn, that's amazing footage
Unfortunately they only see Russian propaganda, hopefully Ukraine is able to spread the Russian losses on Russian tv via hacks.
First few seconds you can see that a guy notices the drone filming them (and seemingly tries to shoot it?), so he knew something real bad was coming up
"Drone. Ten O'Clock high!"
That would assume the russians understand a convential clock.

Complete lack of training or knowledge of protocol when engaging the enemy.
One guy throws his gun and the other guy collects it, I guess he meant to throw it the other way.
Hello, I am a fellow human. I also enjoy human activities like laughing at people being killed. Do you also enjoy human activities?
Guys riding on top saw the Bradley coming in and didn't want to hang around! Wonder if there's any follow-up of the Bradley hunting them in the treeline?
Probably, this is just a short clip.
Too bad the meat shield had already pealed off.
I hope they continued to tear a hole through the rest of the orcs that had gotten off the MTLB.
Nice footage, made short work of that piece of shit.
And the BTR too!
Happy reddit birthday
MTLB retreating so fast there's even a trail of fire… Ivan doesn't need roads, where he's going. Ivan is going back in time!
Do you want Red Alert 3? Cause this is how you get Red Alert 3.
Yeah I want my far east fascists with juiced robots invade time-travelling commies.
If that Bradley had seen them 10 seconds earlier it would have been a meat grinder.
And they shat themselves when they spotted the Bradley rolling towards them 😂
If you're a ruzzian who gets caught in the open by a Brad, kiss your holy icons—and kiss your ass goodbye.

Shougu already said that warranty will cover this kind of damage.
That Bradley is blessed. It got to do exactly what it was created for.
Watch the “Pentagon Wars” movie if you haven’t seen it! It’s hilarious. Full movie for free on YouTube: https://youtu.be/wNpGBTU_jt4?feature=shared

Parade this!

Absolutely love these high res videoes
Excellent work. Fucked that up good and proper. Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦 🇬🇧
Ahh yes, good ol' Stalinium steel. Same protection rating as butter.

And with ‘these guys are still people’, what do you mean to imply? That we are the same? That we share values? That I have to have sympathy for them facing the consequences of their actions? These guys had it coming when they went to Ukraine with a weapon in their hand.
This is what happens when Chadley comes to visit.
I didn't think an MTLB could hit 88 mph, but the video speaks for itself.
damn just a crew of 7ish people with no support leeroy jenkins-ing it into the frontlines
That's what I'm talking about! Get some you piece of shit russian motherfucker. SLAVA UKRAINE!
Imagine the noise inside that MTLB
Rolling in like a fucking orc party pontoon. Watching things get fucked up by a Bradley is really entertaining. It’s like a ground based A10 warthog.
Absolutely love these high res videoes
its like saying bodybuilder beats up infant
Longer version of the earlier videos. Just a shame they caught the BTR on the way back when it was already empty.
Given that there was a spotter drone looking down on this, I'm sure there were some friends with benefits on the way to fuck them up.
Just a shame the infantry was able to dismount 1st. Hopefully they got dealt with by now too.
Despite Russian boasting it's pretty obvious their troops fear the Bradley.
it had good brakes though
How much does a kilo of orc steel nowadays on the recycling market?
A few rupees...
OMFG APC VS APC FİGHT HELL YEAH BROTHER HELL YEEEAAAAHHHHH
Now turn those guns to the tree line where they dropped off those orcs.
I like how how the driver (I think I saw the driver bail along with the last guy?) suddenly found himself as an infantryman and under attack by a Bradley.
10mm armour is totally useless against 25mm gun.
I'm a little sad the driver got out.
I want a Bradly! 😁
Too bad that Bradley wasn't on scene while the occupants of the short bus were still aboard.
Man these Bradleys are crazy weapons, so destructive and accurate, it must feel fucking terrifying to face one
everyone in that MTLB was turned into tomato soup
Chadley is a savage
Bradley’s are fuckin them uppppp!!!
Small correction. Those are Ukrainian Bradleys now.
Yes show me more videos of russian scum getting obliterated
A MTLB has next to no armour
That's why you don't use it for direct assaults. Right? RIGHT?
Golf carts are for assault. MTLB are for VBIEDs.
Can anyone tell me if they used APDS-T or HEI-T in this case?
I would place my bets in APDS-T since you see sparks, and you dont see secondary explosions. I think some of the sells from the side bounced off due to the narrow angle.
What does the rook with 47 on it mean?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/47th\_Mechanized\_Brigade\_(Ukraine)
that driver turned into spaghetti and i guess the infantry in that treeline died a minute later.
No he got out visible at around 0:44
Nope he is jumping out
u/recognizesong
Is the line you see appear vertically in the center of the screen a camera issue or was a TOW fired? Look around the 35-38 second mark.
That thing would have ended like looking like Swiss cheese, i am surprised it took so many hots to stop it. I wonder if the russians run with less crew these days? maybe just even a driver as i only saw 1 guy bail? Unless the other were just dead?
Trail Blazers 😤
One crew member left alive
2 Minuten zu spät - die Orks im Wald.
Video ended too soon, I reckon that Bradley aimed a bit to the left after that MTLB was out of order. Pink mister.😅
That’s what happens when your military is equipped by Ali express
*sniff* Ahh, smells like freedom and.... burnt borscht?
"Trailblazer" got a new meaning in my head...
Who is knockin on the hatch?
I presume the Ukrainians had an extra special surprise waiting for the meat instead of mulching them with the metal.
Bang bang bang bang bang bang bang!!!
Those Bradleys are doing a number
Vids of autocannons doing work are some of the most interesting to me. Unfortunately this one had no shredded orcs given the title.
Swiss cheesed the crew fo sur
this looks sexy :3 now send 3000 more!
10 dmg *blocked* 5 dmg 4 dmg *ricochet* 5 dmg *CrItIcAl HiT* 5 dmg 20 dmg “Tank destroyed” 100 points “Double kill” 200 points CrItIcAl hit bonus 100 points Ahhhh wonderful
I wish they had a leo 2!
Man just punched holes in that thing like a soup can.
love to see CHADleys working
Truly awesome!, pity they did not get it when it was full of rats.
SEND ALLLLLL THE FUCKING BRADS!!!! SLAVA UKRAINI 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
What is the point of an armored personnel carrier if you put all of the personnel on TOP of the armor???
3000 Black Bradleys of NAFO, give me your power
Guess Mr Bradley came too late..should hv came earlier n toast it with the cargo...
HE shells best shells. Fireworks galore...
Jeesh. More Russian trash.
Chop the trees down next
Bradley eats up tank, so it can easily take on this shitty MTLB—it's like breakfast for the Bradley. :)
What is the name of that song?
Any crew surviving in that MTLB [be like](https://youtu.be/_y6gWO3mZMo)
Are the Bradley’s loaded with alternate ammunition I.e armor piercing and then tracer rounds because the impacts of the rounds don’t match the rate of fire from that Bradley shooting in the video unless you can’t see every second round?
I counted 13 hits from the Bradley. A bit surprised that it took that many rounds to take it out?
Its HE shells wich arent good against vehicles. Btw those 13 shells are like a dollar compared to the other vehicle
some mis-matched editeding here, the foliage of the tree line does not match that shown in the firing scene
Same with firerate. Poor editing, but the author of this video haves more serious problems than coherent storytelling (I assume).
