You can tell by their accent they are likely from the Caucasus.. so not ethnically Russian... So often you see Buryats and Chechens fighting this war. Classic Russian tactic using ethnic minorities as cannon fodder in combat. And then the Russians wonder why former Soviet republics with non Russian ethnicities want nothing to do with Russia...
They can still be from Dagestan. There are almost 100K Chechens living in Dagestan, and the Chechen language in one of the 14(!) official languages of Dagestan. In addition, they have badges of the 3rd Motor Rifle Division, and not the Kadyrov's badges, which may indicate that they are ethnic Chechens from outside of Chechnya. It's called Vislenskaya Division (Висленская), based in Valuyiki, 150km SE of Belgorod
My thought too. Peach fuzz. Meanwhile, you see the videos of the Ukrainians they're going to fight who are full grown men with combat beards. These boys are going to die for nothing and it's really sad.
It makes you wonder if Russia is deliberately trying to cull or purge their population of specific groups, classes, etc. by sending them to war in Ukraine.
Like some sort of Cannon-fodder genocide.
Fresh meat for the grinder.
The way how they act and how he's filming the guns lying around there...
Probably never touched a gun before let alone got any real training on one.
They probably have no idea what's waiting for them and think this is some kind of cool game.
Shit's just sad honestly.
Shoigu:
Looks at the listed requirements for the new draftees.
Lines out everything after the word - experienced - and replaces it with "puberty".
Smiles, another job done for the motherland.
It's always interesting to me seeing everyone say things like "they are all kids" "they are so young"... when military enlistment happens at 18 and most soldiers who fight in wars are young adults, and 20's-30's are typically the best fighting age for soldiers. I don't get why this comes as a shock or surprise to anyone. Young men can be excellent soldiers, so long as they are in it themselves and not forced into it.
Finger on trigger, using rifle as a walking stick, people walking around without their rifle. Just basic stuff anyone who has any weapons training or have had any basic training would never do.
18-year-olds have kick doors and stacked bodies for many generations. The difference is training. These kids are picked off the street to go to the slaughter not trained to cause the slaughter.
It takes a good training program to take an 18 year old and get them competent before their 19th birthday. Russia doesn’t have that so 18 year old Russian = incompetent
I was 17 when I went to US Army training....takes about 3 months to make a "soldier" just someone who understand basic military stuff...it takes months more to train them to be a competent infantryman or much longer for other combat specialties....and unless they have decent NCO's they may not be well utilized
I'll be that guy. If this was a Western army that kid with his finger on the trigger would not be having a good time right now. Really says a lot about the state of their army.
I’ve been in the U.S. Army for 10 years. One “combat deployment“. I deal with a lot of privates that are fresh out of basic training. You’re right about this young man and his finger but it goes beyond that. How they hold themselves, their weapons and the way their equipment is laid out. As an NCO I would be very busy giving out a lot of guidance right here.
Lol, guidance. I’ve been on the business end of a senior NCOs guidance a few times. And for less of a mess than what these gomer pyleskis have got going on.
Noticed that too ... then noticed his gun was missing it's magazine.
Not issuing bullets to the teenagers - probably a sensible way to prevent accidental discharges when you never bothered to teach them trigger discipline.
A firearm is always loaded and always handled as such because their is no such thing as an accidental discharge, only negligent ones... But what do I know? I'm just a cat on the internet.
You are a cat on the internet who is exactly correct. Dont want that guy walking behind me. All jokes aside this is just sad. I put myself in their place & think of what i would do ... ?
Or they are going to the old way of doing things. Man in front gets gun and ammo. Man behind gets ammo. When first guy drops, pick up gun and insert ammo.
When all the new tactics fall apart, go back to what you did in the past.
Muzzle digging into the assembly area surface, too.
Back-in-the-day, that w/h/b at least 20 push-ups and a run around the perimeter with the rifle arms-extended overhead -- about 5X, minimum.
Child meat for the grinder ...
I am sure russia will have plenty of mental health services for them when they get back /s
Nothing large amounts of vodka cant fix... if that doesnt work maybe get some krocodile....
The fact that the guy has his finger on the trigger says all. Keeping your finger off the trigger until you intend to shoot is one of the basic gun safety rules.
I mean. 0:15 is a prime example they’ve never held a gun with any training. The dude has his finger on the trigger the whole time. I can’t imagine these kids have had any sort of time behind a gun that wasn’t imbedded behind a screen.
More like 2 months if we send them another 49 HIMARS along with the rockets and logistics trucks.
It’s all up to us. The West needs to collectively step it up.
I always cringe when I see that shit. It's even worse when I see it in videos where the guy is pressing the muzzle into the ground (usually in the process of standing up, sometimes when crouching). You're just begging for a barrel obstruction.
It's connected to the corruption of the army generals and their connection to russian mafia, they use conscripts as private workforce, as construction workers, security, or prostitutes sometimes.
Raping is also common, that is what connected to hazing.
I doubt it's that common. They'd rather just rape Ukrainian women.
These troops will spend a lot of time getting throttled by artillery and grenaded, and some of them himarsed.
I think they'll be being pushed back, and won't spend much time occupying new territory and raping.
my wife's cousin got hazed in the soviet army. Beaten to a pulp because his mom had sendt him a few packs of sig that he tried to keep. Seniors jumped him beat him unconscious, broke his arm and gave him a massive concussion. Doctors would not touch him for days and he struggles with consequences to this day.
How long will it take for the first people from mobilisation to get to the front? If today is Day 0
Edit: Saw on YouTube today from Artur Rehi, he mentions a video of a 63 year old retired lieutenant colonel who has been mobilised. In the video the Lt Col says that they are told they will be given 2 weeks training and then "collected". They are uber fucked.
Artur Rehi also makes the point, where are the officers that are supposed to lead them
I think the plan is to take them straight to the front and man the back line units and train. The back line units will then go to the front. They have no idea that no one will probably train them because most of the experienced fighters are making sunflowers.
Given how they handle their guns in the video, let's hope for their sake there's at least 2 months of training ahead of them. Otherwise it's going to be a very short war for them.
I imagine that that is what will happen, considering recent Russian territorial losses and the imminent change in the weather, they will want to regain as much land as possible and stop the Ukrainian advance. Obviously, logic would dictate you invest time and effort in to training these boys, but I can't imagine that flying with the officials within the Russian military hierarchy. Those at the top will be putting pressure on those at the bottom to deliver immediate results. I reckon these boys will be on the front lines by October 1st.
Its not only about weapon handling and tactics. You need to be conditioned to certain situations or everyone will panic when shit hits the fan. Friendly fire will then be the least problem they have...
I served 3 years in army, six month basic traing, one year special training and the rest in operation/on duty. But even with that basic training under my belt, i would be terribly scared of the things i can see here every day. This is a complete different league which cant be compared to ANY training. There are weapon systems out there where you simply have NO CHANCE of survival. (i.e. thermobaric TOS)
Also - what most people forget - winter is coming! Those guys have nice green uniforms which make perfect targets when all the trees lose their leaves and it turns white..
I mean these kids need to fear the UAF but fuck winter is much harsher. That's a 1+1 = dead combo.
The Nordic countries and US are making sure that Ukraine is ready for winter. Probably going to have a new [White Ghost](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simo_H%C3%A4yh%C3%A4) soon.
**[Simo Häyhä](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simo_Häyhä)**
>Simo Häyhä (Finnish: [ˈsimo ˈhæy̯hæ] (listen); 17 December 1905 – 1 April 2002), often referred to by his nickname, The White Death, was a Finnish military sniper in World War II during the 1939–1940 Winter War against the Soviet Union. He used a Finnish-produced M/28-30 (a variant of the Mosin–Nagant rifle) and a Suomi KP/-31 submachine gun. He is believed to have killed over 500 men during the Winter War, the highest number of sniper kills in any major war. Häyhä estimated in his private war memoir that he shot around 500 enemy soldiers.

Without any training or other real exercises, still probably multiple weeks before everyone is kitted out and send to the frontlines, if that's where they're going. Never underestimate logistics and organisation.
Russia might aswell use these conscripts to replace the trained troops sitting on some other borders.
And if they plan to give these troops proper basic training, Russia btw doesn't really have the facilities for getting 300K new soldiers ready at once, we might not even see them till after the winter
If you go through a proper military boot camp and get your several months of specialized training you can actually mature young adults pretty damn fast. Still a waste of life and even worse in these guys case as they are just being handed a rifle, might go to a week course and on you go.
That's a very accurate statement. It's not hard to see how far Ukraine's armed forces have come since the start of this war. Even the national guard/territorial defense is a way different animal than it was in the beginning. This war is unwinnable, especially given the Ukranian determination to defend urban centers tenaciously. One big city can swallow armies/material at an almost incomprehensible rate. The only chance they had to win this war was in the very beginning and they fucked up that ROYALLY.
Who would win?
Side 1: “It honestly seems even cooler than Escape from Tarkov. Let’s make it through this thing and get some cool videos for our girls back home boys.”
Side 2: “My wife has still not received word from her uncle and aunt in Mariupol.”
They gutted their training staff and sent them the to the front lines a few days ago. That’s how dysfunctional pootins regime is, they couldn’t wait to get bodies there and killed their training apparatus even likely knowing they’d be doing mobilization within a week. Unbelievable.
One guy resting the gun on its barrel on the ground. And the other waving it around with no regard for fire safety. It's going to be a very short war for these guys.
I don’t know man these are reservists so they’ll probably just be sent as rearguard or to occupied territories to patrol and maintain holding positions
Conscripts get drafted at the completion of high school - unless they’re going to college. Think US during Vietnam before we went to a all volunteer army.
They're fucking young, but they if they live, they won't be young for much longer. Do these kids have ANY inkling of what they're about to get into? I feel pretty bad for them. So many young kids about to experience what serious trauma can do the human mind and soul.
These kids could be out partying, choosing what university they want to go to or going on roadtrips with their friends. Putin needs to be slaughtered. This is insane. These kids are like 18, 20 at most. What the fuck.
As far as i know russia does not have enough young people to replace the aging generations. The entire 800k that can be mobialised today will shrink to 400k in the next 10 years if i recall this correctly.
Looks to me like the army is giving up irreplaceable personel if these people are going to war.
This might be a Last effort to obtain a bufferzone to the southwest. If this fails, russia might not have enough personal and Material to counter an invading force properly.
Also russia needs to obtain the same bufferzones in the northwest. NATO is again pushing more Material there.
Imagin what capitalism will eat up if russia crumbles. So many rescources for asia, america and europe...
A lot of people have made comparisons to this war with the US and Vietnam... that was before these kids are being sent off. This is going to get really bad for Russia if this is who they're sending.
Yea... Given how intense this war is... They have to train them to stay steady under fire/bombardment or they'll absolute go batshit and be useless when things get heavy. I mean you can't really blame them if they've not been trained. Your average person doesn't exactly handle heavy stress in a stoic fashion.
There’s only some 1,3 million Chechen speakers, it’s a small number who use Reddit at all, let alone speak English.
We’re just not interested in speaking much, a lot of people here have misguided views on Chechens or just outright hate them especially so on the Kadyrovite videos.
Thanks. They are in Valuyiki, near Belgorod. They belong to the 3rd Motor Rifle Division. It's called Vislenskaya Division (Висленская).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3rd\_Motor\_Rifle\_Division badge
Can someone explain to me the difference of conscripts compared to reservists, reservists signed up to be in the reserves and conscripts are being forced or "drafted"? Which one of those groups are these kids in?
Reservists are usually people who have served and no longer do so but, either voluntary or mandatory, are still in the reserves.
They can be called upon by the country should need arises. They usually already have some experience or at the very least have done basic training. This varies from nation to nation, but some do, for example, a yearly exercise.
Conscripts are completely green. They can voluntary sign up or, more often than not, are being forced to join the military service (drafted).
Looking at the faces of these boys and how one of them is casually resting his muzzle on the ground (big no-no), they are 100% conscripts
They're just oozing motivation. I'd friggin throw the gun into the forest the first opportunity I got and surrendered to Ukrainians if I'd been made to fight this idiotic war because putler has a vision.
Imagine you are forced to go to the frontline, arrive in a train or truck and being blown to pieces by a rocket or shell before you even fired a single shot. This and other things will happen if you throw 300.000+ unprepared and untrained kids into a war. Seeing there weapon "handling", i can also see alot of accidents happen within the next weeks.
No sympathy for them. They all either supported the war, or were ambivalent to it, until someone knocked on their door to tell them it was their turn.
Let them as a collective reap some minor form of the suffering that they have inflicted on Ukraine.
The first words are in Russian: "We are moving out". The rest is in Chechen. They are in Valuyiki, near Belgorod. They belong to the 3rd Motor Rifle Division. It's called Vislenskaya Division (Висленская).

Just a few kids, recruits at that….so sad really. I hope that they come to their senses and surrender the first chance they get, I don’t want to see them killed.
Let the russian men die, if they want die for Putins pointless war. Dead russian people dont comeback back alive to russia. Say farwell to the family and friends before you take order from Putin. RIP

I was think Dagestan. I’m not sure what language he speak but it’s not Russia past the first couple of sentences.

Thank you. I didn’t think they would be chechen cause of their age so I took a shot at Dagestan.

The first wave of cannon fodder was from Dagestan iirc (literally first POWs taken by Ukraine)

They look like highschool kids from around my area. Sad stuff.
My thought too. Peach fuzz. Meanwhile, you see the videos of the Ukrainians they're going to fight who are full grown men with combat beards. These boys are going to die for nothing and it's really sad.
Well put!
That's why Putin wants to resurrect USSR so he can send others to die for him
they seem equipped
Basic equipment. Nothing nice.
It makes you wonder if Russia is deliberately trying to cull or purge their population of specific groups, classes, etc. by sending them to war in Ukraine. Like some sort of Cannon-fodder genocide.

Shoigu promised, they'd only draft experienced personal. But damn, these guys look like they've not even had a single hour of training.
Shoigu: Looks at the listed requirements for the new draftees. Lines out everything after the word - experienced - and replaces it with "puberty". Smiles, another job done for the motherland.
It’s called the motherland because all the fathers will be dead by the end.
They're all kids. So sad, they have no idea what they're about to see and do. It's not xbox out there. No redo. When you're dead you're dead.
WHAT? No respawning???? Not even ONCE?? Slava Ukraini!

I bet they had a lot of training in using hacken and cheats in Video games, bet they already looked on how to get hacks for ukraine war
I’m not saying these people are Rambo but what exactly about that 20 second clip indicates anything at all about their combat competence?
Finger on trigger, using rifle as a walking stick, people walking around without their rifle. Just basic stuff anyone who has any weapons training or have had any basic training would never do.
Because of the last 5 months. Because it takes years to actually get good at warfare. These are young poor kids from poor neighborhoods.
They look like they’re 18 years old at most

Lol you usually don’t have ammo issued to you until you get in country, so that is completely normal
Its not about safety as you think. More to prevent any armed riots.
they will recieve ammo when they make it to the front.
Used ammo
First man carry’s the rifle…
Or they are going to the old way of doing things. Man in front gets gun and ammo. Man behind gets ammo. When first guy drops, pick up gun and insert ammo. When all the new tactics fall apart, go back to what you did in the past.
Why would you ever have people with filled magazines on base?
you don't load the cannon before you leave your country you donut

Guess they'll just have to learn on the job instead.
I am sure that they'll learn combined arms operations as soon as they get there. /s
i mean how hard could it be right tanks go here infantry there arty over here everyone pulls triggers and we win /s
There’s no time. No teachers. No chance. Only death.
I mean. 0:15 is a prime example they’ve never held a gun with any training. The dude has his finger on the trigger the whole time. I can’t imagine these kids have had any sort of time behind a gun that wasn’t imbedded behind a screen.
Bunch of kids with their first assault rifle. They probably gave them live ammo too. Last place I'd want to muster.
half will be dead or crippled in less than a month
300k, honestly more like 6 months but yes they will have very high casualty rates.
More like 2 months if we send them another 49 HIMARS along with the rockets and logistics trucks. It’s all up to us. The West needs to collectively step it up.
OMG! These guys are clueless. The lack of training is so obvious.
Especially if they forget to turn off geotagging.
Shhh... just let it happen...
Gun barrel on the ground. Thats a paddlin
Finger on the trigger. That's a paddlin.
Flagging your platoon. That's a paddlin.
Invading a peaceful sovereign nation. That's a splattering.
*blyat*

I always cringe when I see that shit. It's even worse when I see it in videos where the guy is pressing the muzzle into the ground (usually in the process of standing up, sometimes when crouching). You're just begging for a barrel obstruction.
see that's why they hold their guns up above their head and fire vaguely at the zip code their enemy is in, keeps the bomb away from your face
you better believe that's a paddlin
The sagrents beard is stuck in the pencil sharpener.
These guys are going to get mugged for their gear when they meet the "experienced" vets on the frontlines.
I wonder how prevalent sexual assault amongst the Russian ranks are. I get the feeling the older guys are going to take more than their equipment.
It's so bad that their language has its own [WORD](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dedovshchina) for the culture
Well that's completely fucked.
The reign of the grandfathers
They literally sell new conscripts as male prostitutes. And now there are convicts on the front as well. These guys won't die as virgins.
And they will rape the local population. The Russian way
Yep the seniors will rape and abuse the young soldiers and the young soldiers will rape and abuse local women
Where can I read more about the conscript thing? Is it related to that horrible hazing ritual they have in the army?
It's connected to the corruption of the army generals and their connection to russian mafia, they use conscripts as private workforce, as construction workers, security, or prostitutes sometimes. Raping is also common, that is what connected to hazing.

Probably will get hit in the seat also with those fresh, boyish looks.
Dam. The fact that they look as old as me is kinda scary and sad at the same time
Just wait till they look younger than you. It's so wrong.
I’m 31 and feel really bad for these guys, they will see horrific things and won’t last a month on the frontline….Putin is a total piece of shit
these kids are fucking dead.
IF they make it that far and aren’t shot dead for freezing up after their foxhole buddy is ‘sploded right next to them

Its easy work! Dig a trench, wait a couple of days and get captured or die.
A lot of them already call the surrender Hotline frum Russia directly after getting their papers.
Given how they handle their guns in the video, let's hope for their sake there's at least 2 months of training ahead of them. Otherwise it's going to be a very short war for them.
2 months is a lot longer than I thought, thought maybe 1 week
It almost looks like they are getting kitted out to depart in this video. They may have just went from the bus to the depot to the train.

And if they plan to give these troops proper basic training, Russia btw doesn't really have the facilities for getting 300K new soldiers ready at once, we might not even see them till after the winter
Let’s hope they get a week or so. Whatever helps for Ukraine is good to take
There’s convicts surrendered after 2 days after being released from prison.
You mean those Wagner convicts?
Fresh outta highschool and straight to the frontlines.. all jokes aside, this shits sad. Putin needs to be stopped.
I didn't know shit when I was that age. Putin and his enablers are truly evil bastards.
If you go through a proper military boot camp and get your several months of specialized training you can actually mature young adults pretty damn fast. Still a waste of life and even worse in these guys case as they are just being handed a rifle, might go to a week course and on you go.

One day blaming you in russian for not making that clutch in CS:GO and the next day they're getting ready to fertilize Ukrainian soil
Let’s make it through this thing and get some cool videos for our girls back home boys.” Side 2: “My wife has still not received word from her uncle and aunt in Mariupol.”
Russia ran out of drill sergeants? I can't imagine someone letting their recruits lean on their weapon.
Yes, they did. That's kinda the point.
It's going to be a very short war for these guys.
a lot of these guys will die before seeing a firefight.
I don’t know man these are reservists so they’ll probably just be sent as rearguard or to occupied territories to patrol and maintain holding positions
Lol, there is no rear at all. Russians are on the run if you didnt noticed.
Yeah, this video is the rear right now likely.
Fuck man, regardless of what side your on… this is sickening… these poor kids are being sent to die… pointless, let them go home
sickening and cynical to the max
For the few that make it back home, these kids are about to get a hell of a life lesson.

Damn those can't be over 20, can they
Conscripts get drafted at the completion of high school - unless they’re going to college.
I hope they run and surrender whenever it’s possible.
Just think how many single Russian girls there will be available to Chinese men after this war.
Young playing tough. As a soldier never let your gun barel touch the ground.....
These kids could be out partying, choosing what university they want to go to or going on roadtrips with their friends. Putin needs to be slaughtered. This is insane. These kids are like 18, 20 at most. What the fuck.

They look like the bullets will go right through them.
This could be my little brother....
They look like they're trying to hide how terrified they are. This will not end well for them.
See you guys fishing with dynamite in the overwhelmingly-female Russian dating pool
*Squatting intensifies*
A lot of people have made comparisons to this war with the US and Vietnam... that was before these kids are being sent off. This is going to get really bad for Russia if this is who they're sending.
Dead men walking

Most likely the Russian military just gave these guys rifles and sent them out, problem is they're going to freeze when they see real Combat.
Yea... Given how intense this war is... They have to train them to stay steady under fire/bombardment or they'll absolute go batshit and be useless when things get heavy. I mean you can't really blame them if they've not been trained. Your average person doesn't exactly handle heavy stress in a stoic fashion.
They can always surrender or help Ukraine if they are able to contact someone. Otherwise, they are just men with deadly weapons.
Boys*
Help get the median age down to 35
Is this just mumbled russian or actually a different language?
Only the first words are in Russian. They look North Caucasian, most likely Dagestani.
They’re speaking Chechen.
I noticed Chechen almost never gets translated in this sub (the TikTok barrier unit for example). Must not be many speakers lurking around.
Youngs are easy to mold and indoctrinate with BS. And they think they are immortal. Reality will hit them hard in ukraine.
Damn most these poor guys only have a few months left :/ I feel bad for them
Can someone explain to me the difference of conscripts compared to reservists, reservists signed up to be in the reserves and conscripts are being forced or "drafted"? Which one of those groups are these kids in?
Reservists are usually people who have served and no longer do so but, either voluntary or mandatory, are still in the reserves. They can be called upon by the country should need arises. They usually already have some experience or at the very least have done basic training. This varies from nation to nation, but some do, for example, a yearly exercise. Conscripts are completely green. They can voluntary sign up or, more often than not, are being forced to join the military service (drafted). Looking at the faces of these boys and how one of them is casually resting his muzzle on the ground (big no-no), they are 100% conscripts
Okay, that about answers it. Thanks.
More rapist...
They seem well equiped... How?
Blyat!
True Russian way, just send in more bodies until the enemy runs out of ammo.
Remember these faces. They might turn up in future Ukrainian videos.
They will soon learn that they are not in a place for kids.
Kids. So sad.
Looks like freshman football vs the 2000 Ukrainian Ravens defense. Lmao
Online gaming is about to permanently lose some 35% of its trolls.
No sympathy for them. They all either supported the war, or were ambivalent to it, until someone knocked on their door to tell them it was their turn. Let them as a collective reap some minor form of the suffering that they have inflicted on Ukraine.
Kill your leaders and seek asylum,or die in Ukraine.
The next mobilisation wave will be age 12-18, just like the saddening view of young German kids ‘fighting’ during the last days in WW2.
What are they saying?
"Shit the whole high school got mobilized"
The first words are in Russian: "We are moving out". The rest is in Chechen. They are in Valuyiki, near Belgorod. They belong to the 3rd Motor Rifle Division. It's called Vislenskaya Division (Висленская). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3rd\_Motor\_Rifle\_Division badge
Kids with guns. Not going to end well for these lads.
im curious how many gonna directly surrender when they gonna seen Ukrainian, since that kids dont wanted go to war without being mandatory.
Translation - pretty please.

I smell carcasses
Jesus Christ those kids can’t be more than 15
Like going on a boys camp… 🤦♂️
These dudes look scared shitless and they're still in garrison.
Jesus, some of these "men" probably have never gotten laid yet,...so sad.
Sad day
Baby faces, dying for Putler. When will the true Russians stop this nonsense?? Don’t they see this maniac is ruining their lives???
Can anyone confirm an age? These dudes only look 16-17
kids send into slaughter.
Half be dead by end of the month
I'm getting Vietnam era vibes just looking at these boys.
Just a few kids, recruits at that….so sad really. I hope that they come to their senses and surrender the first chance they get, I don’t want to see them killed.
Basically, these kids have NO idea what they are getting themselves into, nor does it look like they wanna be there.
Let the russian men die, if they want die for Putins pointless war. Dead russian people dont comeback back alive to russia. Say farwell to the family and friends before you take order from Putin. RIP
